I am a beginner skier and this is my favorite place to ski. Not very crowded and not too far from Ottawa. The slopes are also easy.

Great for kids! The staff in the lodge all look like they want to end somewhere else.
We were lucky to have a bright sunny day. The runs were groomed perfectly. Covid protocols were very effective. Tough putting boots on at the car. Very enjoyable day
Not well known=not too busy. Not the most challenging=perfect for kids and moderate-skill skiers.
Most runs were closed cause of warm weather but the easy runs were perfect for just learning
Not the bigest hills but great for someone learning to snowboard not too many people and nice large runs
Great runs for the whole family. Also, very reliable ski patrol.
So they didn't have the blue lift working, but charged us full price for a ticket when one third of the hill is closed. Weak! It's a good hill to learn on, however very small and the chair lifts are many decades old, so it takes a while to get up the hill, then going down the hill takes like a few minutes at most. The staff is friendly. Kids get a discount, maybe seniors too.
If you have young kids and want them to learn how to ski well, and to develop a love for the sport, THIS is the place to bring them! Great hill, family atmosphere, close to town and not crowded!
The hills and overall skiing was pretty good and suited families and starters alike. Equipment and facilities where adequate also. The overall experience was pretty good. BUT, Unfortunately we bought our tickets online and upon arriving one of the employees excepted some and and the other employees in the rental absolutely refused and said they where not valid for 24 hrs. This caused a real issue and we re-paid for some to go out but will not use the other ticket( essentially paid twice). It Does NOT call out specifically on the site in any robust way so be aware despite some fine print you need 24 hours if you decide to go. This soiled and overall pretty good day and would have been a better rating if tech caught up with common sense.
Best place in the Gatineaus to learn how to ski. Great staff.
Okay...not great...too much of a hike between lifts.
Where I learned to ski 20 years ago and still come occasionally and staff is as amazing as there were in the mid 90'. Thank you!
A great family oriented hill that is a great place to learn to ski and improve on your skills.
Old buildings but there is no one on the hills so it is like you have the place all to yourself for night skiing!
A very good place for a party or several people however only 1.5 baths.
Amazing hill
All of the runs are in beautiful condition, they must groom every night.
Pretty decent hills, not a bad location. The restaurants are kind of mediocre.
I got skiing lessons and I was speeding down the bunny hill trying to stop. The instructor kept yelling "PIZZA PIZZA" but I was panicking too much to concentrate. I ended up colliding with some little kid.
Great ski hill! Family oriented with easy to hard trails (green square to double black). Indoor bar and cafeteria, ski lessons, snowboard lessons, ski cross and snowboard cross all available. Trick park with boxes & snow jumps. 3 two-seater chair lifts and a T-bar. I would highly recommend this ski hill to anyone except the most advanced skiers.
Thank you ski vorlage for supporting Special Olympics Snowstars. I was so honored.
Very beautiful view! Good choice of slopes for the price.
Great place for skiing. Family oriented and a great place for the kids to learn to ski.
Nice open areas for skiing. Like the Alps, but closer
Excellent value and great Hill for the kids to learn to ski.
Nice family place. The employees are super nice and welcoming !!
this place is trashe go to edelweiss it has a great training hill and great serves
Great hills, fun for the family. Not too far and the prices are fairly good. Enjoyed it and will be coming back.
Great staff especially in the rental shop. I got new snowboard boots that didn't fit my old bindings and the equipment rental staff gave me all the pieces I needed for free and were SO friendly. The only reason I give 4 stars is for the pandemic and that I cannot get the full experience. The hill is great for the value next to Ottawa and so far what sets them apart is the staff! Dude in the rental shop is one in a million, attitude and humor is next level!
Very friendly staff, well maintained and great prices for lift tickets. A great destination for a family ski.
Very nice ski center, a little find from the Outaouais !!
Excellent hill. Great for family. Dedicated to service excellence.
Great hill for begginers/intermediate or great learning hill. The staff is absolutely great, very helpful, polite and kind. I usually chaperone a groupe of elementary school students. I highly recommend this ski venue for elementary schools or kids aged 4-12.
I Love it! Everyone is so welcoming and helpful there!
Great ski hill for young families....super fun & safe for all to enjoy!
the hill leaves a bit to be desired, but a good change
Great family skiing for all levels - beginner to more daring. Lifts could be close to Lodge but gives you some additional workout
A great slope to learn on as it is rarely busy, however the quality and quantity of runs are lacking
Great conditions.
No crowd.
No line up
Good skiing for the whole family. Perfect for beginners.
Learned my first snowboard lesson in here and the instructors r some of the most amazing people
BEAST! Great teachers/employees make for an amazing unique family atmosphere :). Groups of families and coworkers alike will test their strengths alongside the vorlage crew. I grew up with them as a child and dedicated my free time to teach alongside the students I grew up with/saw every weekend. I'll guarantee a fun time, regardless of if you feel like ya learned anything or not! Comfortabilty and control is KEY !:) Enjoy the end of the season everyone
Nice family oriented hill. Went during Ontario's March break, and it was practically empty! Enjoyed the trip.
I guess it's OK, the hill is really small with few tracks and the ski lifts are really old on some tracks.
Nice skiing with some fun runs... They only have double chairs, and the lodge is quite a distance from the lifts...
Easy drive from Ottawa.
Well organized lessons for children.
No microwave available for families.
Family section seems to me rather of school slope caliber. So price a bit high if you spend a day with children in this section.
Amazing skiing place for both kids and grown-ups. They have very effective anti covid measures in place, thus avoiding overcrowding. The young instructors are caring.
If it were not for the pandemic situation, the building would offer great views outside, where you could enjoy the picturesque skiing slopes and other people skiing. Staying outside in the balcony is priceless in a sunny day.
Friendly staff, geared towards families, great place to learn ski
Ski vorlage has one of the best ski school programs in the area. The terrain is perfect for beginner skiers, hosting steep and flat. If you are interested in the race program, ski vorlage's race club has some of the best coaches in Canada.
I would highly recommend ski vorlage.
Very small, little variety in the runs there. Only good for beginners since very little difficultly even in the runs there. Small hill even compared to mont casacade or camp fourtune, which are quite small to start with.
Great place to ski. This place also offers night skiing.
This is a great small hill close to Ottawa that has affordable night skiing until 9PM. The runs are relatively short, but lift lineups weren't big and theres plenty of room to ski.
The parking lot has lots if spaces and it is quite easy to park close to the chalet on a weekday evening.
How have I never heard of this place? It's my new fav ski hill in the region.
A great skiing place and toubing all ages can have fun
Vorlage is a quiet family resort. Employees and customers are relaxe.
Great place to learn how to ski and snowboard. The slopes are well maintained and have good variety for beginner, intermediate, and advanced. I took many lessons here and the instructors are very friendly as well. Would recommend.
Nice little place for teaching my kids to snowboard.
Great beginners and family ski hill - great instructors and TAs, great ski school. Excellent night skiing. Full snow making. Advanced skiers may note a lack of double black diamond runs.
Family and friends friendly ski hill. Snowboarding and skiing lessons are available.
Great family hill. Especially with all the hill open. If you're looking for private snowboard lessons ask for Antoine, Teagan or Rapheal. All great instructors.
For what it is Vorlage is s great little hill. The prices are very fair and the team up there keeps the hills in good shape. My wife take lessons there and really enjoys them, plus she doesn't find the runs too intimidating. For me the runs aren't very challenging but they are fun to ski and you can find good lines that allow you to fine tune your technique. The big plus is they are pretty quite at night so you can get up and down so many times as you want and have plenty of space to rip some big fast gs turns from top to bottom without anyone getting in your way :). That alone is enough to keep me coming back.
