Sixflags over Texas is always awesome with the exception of the weather. I mean air temp, 110+. To hot to stand in lines and wait for rides. Although not many people there this time of year due to the high temps. So, 10-20 min wait. Compared to 1hr waiting in cooler months. Was only there for about 3 hrs with my family.
Great place to take the kids , tickets are a little pricey but it's six flags
The best six flags out there the rides are excellent and under the Texas sky there's no better place to experience six flags.
Had youthful fun with hubby.alot of laughs but face mask are REQUIRED still ennoyed each others company
Six Flags Fright Fest 2017 Opening Day was Great!!! Can't wait to see more amazing Frights....
Rides were good. Feels much smaller than magic mountain. Not as many rides. Many were closed
Fun amusement park. Watch out when thinking about riding the wooden roller coaster, think twice. It kinda beats you up a little. Bumpy ride. Otherwise there are many other rides and restaurants.
As a whole, this park is really starting to pull it together to become what it has always had the potential to be.
Six Flags Over Texas is a very fun amusement park. We visited during the week in June. All of the ride were extremely fun. They have some excellent roller coasters such as the Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast and The Joker. I also recommend the Battle for Metropolis ride. There were two very fun shows that we attended in the Texas area of the park. Unfortunately there weren't a lot of other shows to attend. This is probably due to the fact that it was during the week and not on the weekend. I believe that they do have more shows on the weekend. The dining options are comparable to other amusement parks of similar size and there were some great deals on snacks. The gift shops were nice as well. My only complaint was that some of the rides were a tad rusty. I understand that this is an older park, but I do believe they could slap a fresh coat of paint on the rides every now and then. Otherwise this is a very fun place to visit.
InteractiveNew rides being built. Justice League. Fun
I would love to give Six Flags a full five stars, but it would absolutely be ridiculous. It takes almost an hour to get to the front parking gate, and only to find out that the parking lot is full so by the end of an hour and 20 minute wait, you leave fright fest and can t even go because now you have a knowledge that more long lines await. Six Flags is notorious for stuffing more people into the park than they have room for oxygen. It is constantly crowded with long lines and short rides. It is clear that Six Flags does not care about the quality of the visit, rather than collecting every nickel and dime you have in your pocket. My rating stands at a firm three stars. Congratulations Six Flags you are mediocre. If you are looking for a good vacation theme park go to Bush Gardens, Universal Studios, or Disney at least their parks are bigger and can accommodate larger crowds
Place has some nice rides. Park is dirty with low quality employment. Food is way to expensive for the quality as well. The kids will have fun
San Antonio park looks way better than Dallas counterpart. It's odd that the same rides has different superhero names compared to San Antonio.
Had a good time with the family and kids didn t wanted to leave.
This park has lots of history and a great selection of rides. It's not the nearly the best Six Flags park, but it's the first and still pretty good.
It gets tiresome being nicked and dimed for each little thing. Would also like another diet drink offering other than Diet Coke. Maybe some more benches for waiting for the kids during the longer lines.
I just started working here and it's pretty lit lol
Everything is very very expensive. $8 for a coke? $30 for parking on top of the expensive a$$ tickets I just bought? The lines are typically hours long. For one ride. And then when you finally get to ride, it only lasts about 45 seconds. Then back in line for 2 hours. It's a really big spreadout place and your feet will hurt. The rides were definitely fun and thrilling for the whole family. I just don't think they warrant the wait or prices.
Coronavirus measures make ZERO sense. They should've stayed closed if they were going to run one coaster at a time, and only let 6 or 7 people ride at a time. What a waste of a season pass.
We loved it, it was a breezy day & the misting jets help keep us cooled off. Had a great time!
Fun place, but they don't do their best to keep it clean, or provide excellent customer service. It is the only roller coaster theme park close so it'll work.
Very accessible to most classes, roller-coasters don't cost tickets, just one entry fee and you're good for the day.
I haven't ridden every coaster, but for the ones I have, the most fun is the Batman, which is on a hanging-car kinda setup, and the Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast was one of the more extreme ones, going backwards for half of the ride very quickly and going very high and perpendicular to the ground.
Took the family and had a great time, food and drinks are ridiculous in price. The rides are fun and the lines weren't too long.
It was nice being able to go back!! Today was just for diamond and diamond elite members only. It was an amazing experience! It will be back open to the public, Monday June 22!! Bring a mask, sunscreen, and smiles.
This Six Flags is amazing. Clean, friendly, fun, and welcoming. I highly suggest doing the membership, well worth the price.
They are so good prices if you get a member ship it s worth a lot cheaper
Worst experience. Had to wait 1:30 hr in line to get flash pass. Seriously. To get faster access u got to wait more longer in line. worst worst.
Lot of rides were closed, but otherwise pretty dope
I love this place. I have been going here since I was little and never came a serious problem.
Update - added a star, latest trip was good, all rides mostly running or quickly fixed. Many broken umbrellas (missing pins) not good in heat. Very good preventative measures and appointment only for attendance seemed to work very well!
3 of the 6 rides we got in line for broke down while we were in the line!
Would've been a 5 if we didn't get screwed over by over changing for the balloon pop game. My friend and I had a blast with just the 2 of us. Definitely not a lot of people.
Single ply toilet paper in the restroom .....lol. But love 6Flags were ever we are at! But the ECV's need to be cleaned every night. My grandbaby loved the spooky music and all the monsters. Well its a little over a month later and its Holiday in the park. Shows are lame and they have no talent. Fiesta Texas has much better shows and people that can carry a tune. Bought a $10.00 refillable hot chocolate but that proved to be almost impossible to refill! Three different stands all had trouble with their HOT Chocolate machines! What a rip off! Don't know that I will ever grace the Arlington park again.
There was a lot of rides down but we still had so much fun.
I've been going to this amusement park for over 5 years and it was great. Just this last time half of the DC rides weren't working
Visited new haunted houses and the were great..plenty of scares around each corner..
Phenomenal coasters. Lineups not bad later in season. Good deals on local beer, relatively. Get a season pass and keep coming back if you're able.
Hello, My name is Gerardo, and I proud this place that at all satisfying ride if being to get it. This is lovely and the brave place in the tall ride in the sky is highest than our Superman ride. They have tickets for the ride of the day. This following highway is near our in Interstate 30, Hwy 360 and 180. This time I am going to be proud of this happy time of picture of looking for your exciting for water falling to ride for your wet clothes. At hybrid time the Unfortunately will bring to our family our this tickets, we stop at the parking lot. This one is the helpful about this place that know about this picture and take look. Those are lot of places that will going have lot of food, drinks, snacks, just for the place to get our food and pay for money. Looney Turns are the best one ever in this city. Arlington is our the great city such as near the Dallas, Irving, Grand Prairie, DFW airport, and Fort Worth. I will going for every summer. Either you get our the purse to access to enter you fun was to have a great something in the town such as ride the roll coaster, play balloon, games to ride and anything. I will get to someone to get ride and I love it. Recommend this like your reviews for your helpful to ride a free cart and just record your video during ride the motion. You will get (6 Stars). Thank You Six Flags over Texas!
Awesome but during the week there's not very much of a Frightfest
Lots if fun if they park wasn't so trashed. Pick up and clean the place and get the broken rides running and it would be awesome
Lots of fun if it's not too crowded. The season passes are a good deal. Lines are almost always 45+ minutes long.
The rides are amazing just wish things weren't so expensive
Love six flags over Texas. We live in Houston, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas is about an hour closer (San Antonio), but this park is worth the extra hour drive
Decent coasters, but the park felt pretty busy for limited capacity with reservations. Social distance was not observed by most employees guests. Masks made me feel slightly better, but the second people stop wearing them (which was happening a lot), I felt unsafe. Also was disappointed by two of the larger coasters being down.
Not to state the obvious but this is a great theme park. They have a few very special rides, and the lines were not excessive. I will be visiting again for sure.
I love six flags. Got memberships and go all the time
Good family fun great atmosphere love this place we go every weekend
Today was a great day to go. Not too crowded & it was overcast with a slight breeze. The tower was open for a few hours before the wind picked up.
We went to six flags for fright fest and had a great time from Friday to Sunday, and we will visit again we are yearly pass holders
Been coming here for all of my 29 years and then some. It's forever one of my favorite places to go. Its like a second home to me. I love the updates to the kids are but they're really cramming in these new rides lately.
With the season pass and being second through the gate, wait times were almost non existent. Over great day with my kids. The app didn't say all the water rides were closed but other than that it was a perfect midsummer day
A lot of the rides were shut down. I noticed they didn't bother to refund a portion of our ticket price . Xfive rides shut down
i have been going here ever since i was 3 and i have never been ti a place that hold soooooooo many of my memories! i love sixflags with all my heart and i cant wait to go again. i have been over 200 times (maybe more) and i love holiday in the park and fright fest. i love the food, snacks, shows, and rides that they have there. i would never give up sixflags, and i hope it runs for as long as i live. (been going there for about 10 years now)
Disappointed this year with Six Flags. I went there with my son on July 29, 2019. Many things closed that we like going to every summer. This includes the train ride that goes around most of the park, the Loony Tunes ride that is in a cave, the water gun ride in the kids' area, and the tower ride that has an elevator that goes many stories high.
Awesome time. If you are going to go more than once just get a season pass and save money. The food pass is also totally worth it if you plan on multiple visits!!!
I ve gone to this Six Flags and others while growing up and it has always been a great experience! The always have special events going on, adding more excitement for while you are hanging out. The staff is usually nice and helpful.
Great park for everyone. They have lots of rides for all ages. Parking is convenient and they have vehicles to help you get to and from parking areas. There are plenty of areas to eat, drink, and cool down.
I really hate this review. I have to give it 3 stars because of the lack of the enjoyment the employees show. I worked there for over 3 years in the 90's and loved every day of it. Now the workers seem like I do at my office job. Six Flags is Six Flags, but they really should do something about how employees view working there. That would make the atmosphere much better.
Women show up without clothes on in a childs environment and it just makes it awkward. Staff is hard working though!!
Love it but let's not bring in anymore small fair rides.
Just bought season passes in September and can't use them until late November because some sadistic person running Six Flags thinks it's a good idea to have posters of zombies ripping their guts out and creepy decorations in the kids area. Don't take your kids to this place for the next month unless you want them to have nightmares.
Gold membership pass is $9 a month and you get some decent parking and you just scan and walk in! I love visiting for a day!
In my experience I had a great time and had so much fun!!!!
Currently here on a very nice day with no weather conditions. No rides open for the 1st 1.5 hrs then small rides start opening. Lines for every ride close to an hour wait because more than half the rides are closed. The rides that we have had a chance to ride suffered multiple malfunctions further delaying the wait time. Employees do not seem to care or be concerned that most of the rides or closed. Scary they act like business as usual. This will be the last time this park gets my money. Several hundred dollars to wait in long lines for rides you can find at any walmart parking lot fair. Get your stuff together Sixs Flags they way you promise rides and promote rides you cant deliver on should be criminal. Save your time spin in circles a bunch of times and throw your money in the trash
Always a good time, the season pass and the memberships are worth it if you live somewhat close.
My babies enjoyed their time here. It was their 1st time
I used to enjoy Six Flags but it is so, incredibly crowded! I bought season passes for my family but they only went 4 times because the lines were always so long. Food is expensive and so are drinks.
Tell you what people say that sixflags is bad because there's trash everywhere, those people are wrong, it looked like i was walking through a model home it was so clean.
We went for a very good friends 12th b-day party. I have been to Sixflags a millon times and I love all the rides but it was my 10 year old daughter first time going and she is like me we love getting high then dropped down really fast it a thrill
Six flags itself was fun but the attitudes of the young workers made us fee that we were disturbing them by being there. There was no smile in their work they were short and crass. We considered buying a membership and put that on hold as we don't wanna feel as if we are a burden when we simply come to have fun.
Best six flags in Texas! The lines take forever, especially for the Riddler's Revenge. It took my friends and I almost two hours to get on it. Id recommend getting a season pass so that you get more opportunities to get on every ride and shop more. Think about it, it was a great decision when I bought mine! You get free parking with it.
Lots and lots of fun, rides were extremely thrilling and super great over-all.
I LOVE THIS PLACE ITS SO AWESOME IM SO GLAD WE GOT THE DIAMOND UPGRADE THE FOOD IS GREAT THE RIDES ARE GREAT EXCEPT ONE THING what is the point of seperating on the riddler when people are close to each Other my opinion is to let everyone sit on all forty seats makes no sense seperating seats if people are still by each Other...other than that THANK YOU SIX FLAGS FOR GIVING ME A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT THE PARK I WILL VISIT ALOT MORE OFTEN KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK..... I know its corona but fix the riddler problem please
Always a good time at Six Flags Over Texas! Plenty for everyone to do and experience. Ask for the free water constantly and stay hydrated. Bring good walking shoes, I hit 20,000 steps that day! Bring a cooler with sandwiches for the parking lot and save some cost on food as it's pretty high cost. Tons of fun so "Enjoy The Rides!"
Many rides were temporarily closed or closed (not due to inclement weather). Mobile App was very unreliable, specifically showing rides temporarily closed when they were actually running (with guests) and incorrect wait times, specifically Runaway Mountain showing 15 minutes and actual wait time of 1 hour 38 minutes. There was no show and event schedule at front of park, so I asked an attendant who was putting out park maps. She suggested Guest Services which had no published schedule and mentioned the only show during the day was the Ruby show between 1 and 2 pm. In my opinion not worth the money paid for ticket and parking.
Holiday in the Park is lots of fun. Love the sledding on real snow near the Shockwave..
So much fun lines not to long fun for the whole family
I think it's a marketing scheme when the ride operators run the ride with open seats. This way one must wait longer which means it is more likely that one will purchase the "speed" pass.
Great just wish it was open longer and the Harley Quinn ride was open
Not the best six flags location.... And I not a fan at all of the new season passes.... App is a joke a could not be used to let me in. Took over an hour to actually get in. Do not make the mistake of prebuying tickets.... If your going get in the ticket line and wait it will actually be faster and you will get a physical card which you can use to get in. If you think you can use the app and not get the physical card to expedite things don't count on it. Buy the cheap meal pass... And don't buy a drink cup first. Have fun
The rides are fantastic. The bathrooms are scary. The lines for food are often atrocious. Most of the food makes you feel gross. My advice would be to find a small vendor for your meals. Definitely get the Meal Pass as if you plan on going enough times to justify it. You will quickly spend that much paying for meals straight up. If you go more than once, just get a season pass.
The rides are fun. The place is clean, but it there is room for improvement on that. The map is confusing and I thought I was in one corner of the park when in reality I was on the other end. It's easy to get lost..reason why I give it 3 stars. The day we went it began to rain and hail around 4pm.. I believe they shouldn't open the park on these days if there is bad weather and they should POST it on either their website, FB or whatever cause most of us drive many miles to get there only to be turned away after 3 rides.
Had a great time opening day. It was a shame not all the rides were open. Over all good experence! The season passes are true value, and so are the season gold cups.
All the rides. The people are great, very friendly and helpful. They have specials. The put on events for the holidays and Halloween, Christmas. This Halloween special they had zombies walking around, dark with fog machines going, very low lighting but you still could see where to walk and haunted house there was 3
I get it... it's an entertainment expense, but I think this year the price gauging got way out of control. Fun with the family. Just a bit steep from the moment we paid 40 bucks just to park 3 miles from the entrance.
Fun
Just the lines are really long
The rides were so exhilarating! I recommend riding the New Texas Giant! That was my favourite ride and it was amazing!
Lots of fun. A little crowded, but expected. Fun for most ages
Bathrooms had little or no lighting. And did not flush well
