Edit: they have been much better lately and most of the issues below have been addressed.
I have loved six flags for 20 years so it hurts me to finally have to write a negative review, but it sadly should not even be in business. Don t get me wrong I want Six Flags to succeed and make money, but this is not how you do it.
While you may be enticed by the extremely cheap season pass and the new pay by the month membership pass(with 12 month agreement) you will quickly see why they can afford this.
On any given day for months, around half of the park rides are closed. Not just water rides, which I can understand during approaching fall(though it is 90 degrees most days in Texas) but kid, intermediate, and thrill rides as well.
Some major draws such as runaway mountain has been out of service for over a month for technical issues. Even though it is hands down the best ride for fright fest, it has not been open any day for it.
Remember having entertainment in the line while you wait 1-3 hours, which are still normal during off peak season because of so many closures causing the few rides open to have summer break like lines.
All of those fun line attractions such as the alligators and water fall for runaway mountain, or the effects in the mr freeze line, or animatronics anywhere?
All gone.
Don t even think about buying a photo pass. Most of the rides using it don t work or have issues with the photo system.
Want pictures with your favorite characters? Haven t seen them in years even as the summer heat resides.
Long story short, if you like dead malls and dead amusement parks, but with crowds and having to pay for it, this is the place for you to see rusted and paint chipped structures.
