The park is always so clean, the staff is friendly and the ride wait times are always minimal! If you have a season pass (which is such a good deal) you get discounts on food and any retail you buy! Even if you don't have a season pass, the day tickets are competitively priced and you get two parks for the price of one! The food is great and I always have a great time when I'm there. I had a small issue while in the park one time with an unruly guest and the Public Safety staff was on top of it and fixed the issue quickly! Love coming here! Definitely recommend!
The street rods were in town had a blast with all the old car friends
Fun all around. Great water park. Great roller coasters.
It seems to me that the busiest weekend to buy Kentucky kingdom passes all of the Kroger store passes are down. I am sure that all of us the buy them at Kroger because it is convenient and also it comes without the added expense when buying from your website. I work 7-730 PM daily so buying at Kroger was perfect and their system has been down since Friday May 31 and your prices go up June 4th.
It's a good ride but the restraints are very uncomfortable, mainly the shin guards. They really dig into you're shins if you are taller which makes a lot of the ride's sudden hills and turns uncomfortable. Still a good ride but was pretty underwhelming.
This place is AWESOME!!! Food prices are high...but everything else is perfect
Great family fun! Park was clean and the chicken strip basket was great for lunch!
There are a couple factors that will either make this 5 stars or a 1 star and that is who is going. If this is a family trip with the little ones then it will be good for them and the roller coasters will be good enough for them. But if you are looking for a cheaper Six Flags or Cedar Point you won't be very satisfied. Also we had a car show going on when we went but parking sucked even if you got here early then you still have to walk far, maybe that would be different without the car show but then I think maybe the park guests should have had priority. Overall we had a good time but wish there was more/better rides.
Sister wasn't able to ride the ride for reasons I will not share
Great Place, family friendly. Food price is only complaint.
It needs a little better organization and efficiency. They need to teach their safety officers to be a little more vocal with telling people the rules.
. But it's worth the price.
Food is good and get the cup you can refill for a dollar. Nice water park and nice rides.
Good place to have your own party. I was there for the vex after party in 2018
An ok amusement park, has been going downhill for 10 years now. Everything is based off of the bottom line, $. Not economical at all. Parking is 10$ just to start.
It was just a really good time even though it rained
They have so many rides to choose from and even food options! Now, usually, I don't really do waterpark rides, but they have an entire area full of waterpark stuff! It's so cool!
Kentucky Kingdom & Hurricane Bay is a very fun amusement park, with plenty of attractions and fun things to do. One could easily spend two days here (one day at the amusement park, the other day at the water park) and spend most if not all of each day at the park. It is a very family friendly park, with attractions for kids, adults, and both! In the past, I have worked here, and I loved it. Got to meet many new people, who became great friends. Great work experience, with multiple departments to work for, such as Public Safety, Park Services, Guest Services, Retail, Ride Operators, Life Guards, and more. They have great deals on season passes, two-day out-of-area passes and large group package discounts, that if you qualify for either, should definitely look at for coming to this park. All the staff are very friendly, and are always willing to help. It s a great part of the Louisville Metro area!
Bathrooms dirty...food made us sick ...no shade or enough benches to relax..need more variety of food choices...very disappointing
My favorite amusement park yet. Grand amount of activities for toddlers especially on the water park.
Loved it! Went here after my world comp with my boys from New Zealand!
Went to the new Kentucky Kingdom did not like it at all you have alot of work to do to be as good as Holiday World and Kings Island. My biggest problem was your height requirements most parks measure your child give them a arm band then you look at the map to see what they can ride. You do none of that i have to walk to every ride read the sign to see if my child is tall enough to ride it and if i dont know her correct height i have to wait forever in line let them measure her then hear her cry when she can't thats crazy. Your height requirements are way off my child can ride almost everything at Holiday World and Kings Island i may have to ride some with her but thats ok as long as shes happy. The only rides you have for her to ride is baby rides she hates them she likes fast rides. The only reason i go is for her. I did get passes this year but will not be getting them next year. I would rather drive a little further to Holiday World were she can have fun and be happy not cry. We were in line to ride Thunder Run she was so happy we got in the ride it was getting ready to take off when they made us get out saying she was not tall enough if she had been wearing her sneakers she would have been tall enough but they made us leave and i had to hear her cry never again do i want to go through that. Your food prices are crazy and your staff cant keep the place clean. Holiday World has free drinks free parking and food prices are good all the money i save there i can use for the extra gas to get there. I really hope you make alot of changes so it will be a great place to go to.
It's a fun place. And I enjoy having my 12 yr old with me.
I love it. I get season passes every year now and its a lot if fun. I excited every time i go.
It is nice but when you have a 1yr old not a lot to do. But I did enjoy the rides that she could get on with me. A lot of them a 1 yr old can't get on even in the kid section. Which I think isn't fair. Now a $1 for a 12 once cup every time you get thirsty is a much as well. Even water you have to pay a dollar for and baby's can't even get a free drink is a bit much as well and no ramp for strollers when wanting to watch a show is a bit much to only handicap people have a gate only open to them but a stroller ramp would be nice.
Took my 2 year old alot of fun was too pricey for mediocre food but the games were okay if you only wanted small prizes. But almost $40 for two one person meals (pretzel and a drink) is too much not even a decent meal. But the rides of the kids and hurricane bay made it okay I guess. Still should lower prices.
Love it .... Had so much fun.... The rides two thumbs up ....
They force parents to buy passes instead of just putting a band on them so they cant ride rides. This process forces parents to either drop their kids off and hope for the best or buy a pass.
Park closes earlier than the website indicates. A LOT of young thugs in this park unattended. 2 actually threatened me and grabbed my arms when I called them out for pushing me and cutting in front of me. Kudo's on the armed security presence. Too bad none were close when needed.
The staff is really friendly and Lighting Run was surprisingly awesome!
Great fun, the early buy on the season pass was the way to go, season pass give you free parking and $1 soda (wish they could be free) water park closes early for my taste but good family day.
We get season passes every year. My girls and I love spending our free days here. Love that I can get comfy in the water park and chill and feel comfortable letting my girls go and do there own thing and not worry about their safety. Parking is convenient, Customer service is top notch, great prices on food and drinks, the presence of security make us all feel safe. Looking forward to spending a lot of time here once school is out.
Purchased 2 tickets at gate because it wouldn't process an online order without printing tickets from a computer. Tickets were very expensive. $120 for 2. We only stayed at Park for 2 hour, due to rain. We were given 2 sunshine passes, but the only day we could come back unfortunately is during the KY State Fair. KY Kingdom is only open 5 hours because of that and they force you to purchase fair tickets to gain access to KY Kingdom. Reached out to customer service to see about a partial refund, since we will only get to enjoy the park for 5 hours. I was told there is a no refund policy and nothing they can do. We usually go to Kings Island, and I would recommend that park way more than this one.
Awesome, my niece and I bought passes last week and have been there everyday since. We love KK!
The water park has a great wave pool and lazy river. They have several decent roller coasters. The bbq nachos and pineapple sole whip waffle cones are awesome. The free fall was our favorite ride.
Nice place. Movie ride is a flop. Your just watching a miniature version of wizard of oz. The seat do nothing for the ride. Bring back Rob Cop, Jurassic Park, or even Elvira. Those were fun. Why is there not a Halloween celebration any more those used to be so much fun. Please try to bring back.
First off, I love this park always have and so does my daughter. I just want to add that my daughter is 42 inches tall and today when she tried to ride Tin Lizzy's and 5D Cinema i was told she's "tall enough" but still "not safe" ????. They even used the stick measurement and it touched the top of her head even messed up her hair so she's tall enough to ride these things where does it say that she has to be taller than the pole? My daughter was extremely disappointed. I will try to attempt this again next weekend and if I get told she can't ride these things I will ask for manager and will ask for a refund on my passes. I understand that safety comes first and I understand the inches that you have to be. But it's not fair for the child to be the requirements to be able to ride the ride and still get told she can't ride it.
I am a rbk amputee and they were very peofessional and helpful
End of the summer bash! Had a blast, just wished they opened earlier and stayed open later.
Excellent place to have a great time!
I recommend it.
Great environment to take a medically and physically complex child to enjoy community involvement. Staff is kind, helpful and courteous.
Great theme park at good price for out of state residents.
Nice rides, friendly staff, good place to go and have fun
If you are considering working here, there may be much better options for you elsewhere. It is a minimum wage job, which is understandable because it is fairly easy. But last year by the end of the season I was not happy with it at all. It is managed poorly and by the end of the season so many of my coworkers had quit that I would go more than a week without a day off. Many of us worked in the summer heat for several hours at a time, which was the job I signed up for, but one of the supervisors would constantly blame minimum wage workers for guests being upset with company policies. With that being said if you could get hired on at UPS, or Walmart, or even fast food it will pay more and you will get your days off etc.
All 5 kids had a great time, adults did too :) Clean park and friendly staff.
Free sun block. Free drinks for outside residence. 29.99 for a 2 day pass can't be beat!
Not enough rides.. water park helps .. Thank you for your response KK the water park was included. Now since you re answering questions could you answer these?
Superman Tower of Power ride cut off 13 Years old girl feet in 2007 I think.. Are your rides checked for safety on a consistent basis?
The souvenir cups cost more now and they're smaller than they used to be.
Good atmosphere and great staff fun for relaxing in the water
Plenty of wet and dry rides. Also has an awesome place for toddlers to enjoy the water.
I was surprised at all the attendants and how clean the park was. I went 2 days in a row and had a blast with my family. Plenty of sunscreen and free drinks. Food is a little pricey I definitely recommend bringing a cooler and leaving it in the car, and parking if you don t have a pass is $10 each day. Great place and great for young children. Love this place and the lines never be too long. If you haven t been one need to go you won t be disappointed.
Great Amusement Park, can get tiring if you ride everything over and over, but that's just because I can go there whenever. Kentucky Kingdom is great family fun, especially if you go there and go to Hurricane Bay. Hurricane Bay is very relaxing if you know what you're doing.
Very nice family place to visit. Kid friendly and very affordable.
10 out of 10 consumers agree, the best part of the big kahuna is waiting for it to start again because none of us can swim.
Ky kingdom was great. The water park is awesome. The rides are really cool. The staff were very friendly and the park is very clean. We enjoyed it.
This is a great place for family time or to hang out with friends. The rides are fun and the food is good. It's a safe place with the security and helpful staff
