Freight night wasn't so scary and the lines for the rides were too long.
It was an incredible experiences very happy, this day I will always remember it.
Great place to spend time with family and friends. Rides and attractions are nice with an area that is great for kids. Make sure to bring a little bag to carry items and I strongly recommend wearing sun protective clothing.
My family had a good time. Start out the park is clean. They do however need people to check the bathrooms throughout the day. The prices on souvenirs are surprising good. However, for a bottle of water is 7.50. There were quite a few areas that nats were swarming. The associates that we came a cross all seemed friendly and inviting.
Not only is the park full of stuff for teens, Adults n younger kids but thete a plenty of rest spots, attractions galore and the animals add to the ambiance of the whole place!!! Food was great service was good and it was easy to get around even in a wheelchair!!! My family had a great time until we saw the dolphins in the pool that was kinda sad!!!
Father's day was nice their had a graet time on super man ride
Today was awful. We stood in line for Joker, first ones here, only to be told they were having difficulty, so we went to Superman and had the same thing happen. And after a 45 minute wait on Medusa we were told that the ride was also experiencing mechanical problems. Waited 20 more minutes on the stairs and finally started moving. One car on the tracks. By the time we were done on the ride we walked back to Joker. Still out of service, same with Superman. Worst day EVER @ DISCOVERY KINGDOM
My family's home away from home. We love the rides and shows. We definitely get our season pass money's worth every month.
This place is amazing . Just plan on spending a couple days to be able to see everything.
Such a disappointing experience with all staff. Everyone seems to just be there for a paycheck not making sure their visitors are having a good experience. Just sad.
Variety of things to enjoy in six flags Animals ,shows and of course Roller Coasters
The annual pass is really worth it if to just go to any six flags 3x you break even or you may be ahead. Depending on the park.
The park was fairly empty on the friday we visited and kids had a blast with very little to no wait times in the rides. However some of the rides were not being operated. Wish the operate all the rides irrespective of the crowd level instead of simply giving excuses such as maintenance...
Way to full was a mad house no organization. The animals were cool.
Horrible long lines and in the end the games were not working !!! It was barely 5 an hour before they closed and we were already running from the place ..... much to be desired with the amusement park
While not all rides where open, it was still a nice day in the park. We had a little problem with the tickets which we had bought online, but the lady at the scanning unit was extremely helpful and solved the problem without sending us back to the sales boot.
We enjoyed the day in the park and also thought it is nice to have a look at the animals in the park.
Prolly one of my worst theme park visits I've ever had. The staffing was horrible at directing people and there was no sense of help at all. The lines were crazy at the main entrance before even getting in, people merging into other lines thinking it was the right thing to do. I won't be back until they figure out how to put some directions on the ground, or staff that can point people on the right direction. The only reason I'm not giving a 3 out of 5 is because the rides were still fun, even though there were crazy lines.
Prices wow...$140 for my daughter and I. Plus 30 And up to park, but can't complain they have shuttle busses. But to stand in long lines some rides don't start when the park opens. A lot of profanity from little kids and adults. But love the engergetic employee operators. Prices need to drop.
You can t reach a live person at discovery kingdom about anything so if you aren t at the park forget it. If you leave a message they never return the call. What a step way down from the service you receive at any of the other larger theme and entertainment parks!
Great place! Nice with the Go San Francisco card. Made it much more affordable.
Great fun! Very kid oriented. Needs more large rides for adults.
If you want to see animals, go to the beach or mountains and show your kids real nature instead of some locked up in prison and exploited animal. Dolphins in the wild swim up to a 100 miles a day in the open ocean so how anyone could believe that they are happy are being lied to. As for the rides, of course their fun! That's all they need.
Fun, though the lines were long for some things and the food options left much to be desired for several in our group who had food restrictions or allergies. It was hard to find vegetarian food, much of the food was slow. Some things have an extra charge, like the rock wall, which is a bit disappointing. The rides were fun, the animals and entertainment were good. The butterfly house is great! Overall, we had a good time and will go back again.
We love Six Flags, just wish they were a bit more organized. We spent close to 2 hours waiting in lines for food throughout the day. I think it would have been quicker to leave the park and go across the street to Carl's Jr.
That's a nice place to spend a day, although it seems to me that its time for them to proceed some renovation.
No decent food and only sugary drinks!, then at end of day they handed out handfulls of candy and Monster energy drinks out to kids free without asking parents... That was terrible!!!!
And smallest sodawas like 20oz. Could not find water fountain so had to spend $14 on water!!! too much sugar and junky food.!!!
Liked the rides and go carts thought.
It was cool! Love the rollercoaster, but it is disappointing that almost everything else cost extra
Loved it here but the lines ughhh over 2 hours long
There's something for everybody from small kids to big kids
Good experience here every time because of the atmosphere and energy of the workers at the rides.
The food is overpriced though, especially the drinks in the vending machine. Watch OUT for those they take more money than it says from your card.
Also around two weekends ago I came in the earliest to buy entrance tickets and was in the front of the line. When I got in I tried buying the three of the highest flash passes, but was told I couldn t because I was not a member already. They said it was because it was slow, but I think we can all agree it was busy as it took me almost an hour just to get on the Joker! I thought that was unfair because i wanted to celebrate my sister s birthday and I wanted to take her out to other places too. Instead my time was wasted in lines. I was told different in the front. I think everyone should be on the same page and it should be included on the Six Flags page.!!
When people suggested that you should visit theme parks in the off season please listen. My family and I were able to go on every ride we wanted with no more than about a 5 minute wait. The food was good and most of the animals were available for viewing. I liked that they had employees at several of the animal areas giving information about them.
Rides were nice, and so were the other attractions. Lines for food were longer than ride lines.
If you plan to go more than once, do yourself a favor and get a season pass. Without it you have to pay $25 every time JUST TO PARK! Also the season dining pass really will pay for itself in just a few visits. With the $60 one (which, when I bought it, actually cost MORE than my actual pass to the park) you get lunch, a snack and a dinner, plus unlimited free refills on soft drinks. With meals averaging $14 each and snacks in the $7-$9 range, it's easy to see how this is a good deal. Though beware, the online brochure isn't up to date. I've been telling them every time I go that they still are using the 2016 one. Also there are times you have to get each food items, and sometimes those change without notice, especially during special events. So best to get there early. If lunch stops at 3:30, eat at 2:30. You still have a snack that you can get until 6 or later to get you to the dinner time. When it's busy, it can get really busy, but sometimes you'll find days that are almost dead. I went once and there wasn't any lines. Even the big coasters like Madeusa and the boomerang there was basically no line. Very nice to see occasionally. The selection of rides are good, food is good, attractions are entertaining if you like animals. Good way to spend a day, all in all
A good experience, Joker stopped for a bit but it was very professional
Awesome place to bring to your kids and yourself to. Many rides to choose from for kids or grown-ups, to see wild animals or sea animals. Shows to watch too. If too hot there are areas for your kiddos to get wet too(no swimming pools) so bring extra clothes. Food can be pricey so have a hearty meal before coming in so you won't be so hungry later on and just get either snacks or smaller meal. Many places to chose from where to eat at too, but then again if you don't mind expending a little more on the food go for it. There is also the option of buying a season meal not sure if that's what is called. And with at least three visits to the park it pays off-if you are buying the season pass or membership is worth it.
Customer service is A++! Great place to spend the day with friends or family!
Super experience for our family. Everything from animal attractions to scary rollercoasters. A lot of different food available from pubs style setting to dipping dots ice cream. This place is even better with a membership! Free parking, discounts vary depending on which membership but even the cheap one is great. The meal deal is great! I love it, especially great for kids get a snack and lunch and/or dinner. Get in early spend the day or two days. Membership is worth it if you want to visit throughout the year.
Great time had by all food, snacks, rides and shows The all season dining pass is a must. Lunch, a snack and dinner everyday
We have a memberships and enjoy coming here as a family
Great park, well worth the season tickets. Definatly try to go on off days, cause when they get busy, the park is packed.
Six flags Discovery Kingdom is great. They are packing in as many rides as possible. If you get the season pass, going a few times a year is cheap. Get the parking pass. The holiday events are really fun. Their concessions are getting better, no outside food so you do have to spend some cash on food.
There ate a lot of animal exhibits from butterflies to penguins, giraffe and lions. Tons of rides for little kids, and if you download the Six Flags app you will get estimated wait times at all of the rides.
Go early on weekends or holidays as the mid day traffic can be horrendous. Wear quick dry clothes if you plan on visiting water rides
It's fun. Animals & rides. The only thing I have to complain about are the hours of operation. They open at 11:00 AM & close at 6:00 PM, which is the earliest I've ever heard of an amusement park closing. But that's only 5 hours. So more than half of ur time there is spent waiting in lines.
Went there for new years eve and half the park was closed so me and my partner only got to go to half the park to experience.
fun crazy rides the lines were long but worth the wait
I have gone there a lot of times . I never get bored. All the rides are so fun. I m 14 now and I still enjoy it very much.
So worth it!!! :D I love it here! The only thing is the food court they need someone to push them to hurry up the lines it's a disappointment when you wait in line for 1 hour to get your food and when your ready to order they run out of what they have! :(
Something for all ages. Not alot of benches or shade but still a fun day.
It was a pretty cool place, though I have to say the reason it was not 5 stars is because when I went to fright fest, the beginning was fun, until it hit night fall. That is when almost all the rides, except maybe 5-6, closed down. This was long before closing time, just in advanced. But it was still fun! Especially the Batman ride!
It's a great place for family and friends lots of fun things to do and good food
Staff is really nice. A lot of fun things to do for kids and a lot more for teens and adults. Recommend!
Lines went quick, although some rides had difficulties throughout the day that made things take significantly longer. The mobile app helped with this. The dolphin shows are fun as well. Food is beyond a reasonable price, so be prepared to spend 3-4 times as much on any given meal than you otherwise would have. Overall a fun experience.
The place is run down and too many rides are broke down they also need more staff working food booths they are way to slow
