There are a few Lumina Parks around the world and the Rainforest Lumina is supposed to be the first in South East Asia located within the Singapore Zoo.

As the night falls, the entrance to Lumina opens and accepts guests into it s mists and magical light show.

Jungle inspired sounds and music played in the background and played a big part in immersing us into the experience, wrapped about in mists and the hidden light show plus animated graphics, the Lumina engages us effortlessly and transported us into it s magical world as the path guides us through the various stations- many of which are interactive and suitable for a wide age group.

I was taking pictures from the smartphone and it doesn t do the ambience and experience any justice; the animated graphics for instance couldn t be captured well; then again, it could also be the person holding the phone Mia was using her camera and her pictures and videos turned out much much better. Either way, interested folks should go soak in the experience.

Tickets should be booked in advance. And as it takes about 1 - 1.5 hours to complete the experience, guests should wear comfortable shoes and thin comfortable clothing to stay cool in the humid environments.

This undoubtedly the best zoo I've been to. The idea of not caging the animals but to provide them with their natural habitat is so satisfying to see. Be prepared to walk walk and walk. Keep yourself hydrated.

Very exciting zoo where the animals get so close that you would be able to touch them. My kids were thrilled to be able to pet them. And make sure to check the feeding time because the little ones would surely want to participate.

The best zoo I have ever visited. There are a lot of animals within well maintained enclosures all around the premise as well as open "roaming" areas that animals are allowed to wander through out or climb around in. Such a beautiful place! I have never been so close to the beautiful creatures and I had a wonderful experience. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and you can see how passionate they are about their animals as well.

Restrooms at entrance has good design. Animals look happy in general. seal splash show is great. Definitely will come back. Buy 4 parks pass if you want to save money. staff is nice. They have butterfly enclosures. free range peacock roaming around. Food is expensive. shopping is expensive. prices are way too high than what it s worth.

This is the place where animal safari meets changi prison. A large assortment of animals in their artificial holding places blessed with inescapable cages and fences, it's a safe place for kids to enjoy the view of bored, sleepy critters with very little recreation and plenty of opportunities for procreation. Animals here are well fed, just like most of the locals are, and it's time for you to come down here, pay the entrance fee, and enjoy the tropical climate and the beautiful smell of nature and manure. What more can a man asks for?

The zoo is awesome but very busy almost all the time. Bring comfy walking shoes and cash money since not all places take credit card. Also, bring your water bottles to refill since water at the park can cost upwards of $5 a bottle.

It's a lot of fun and there's so much to see it's silly. Enjoy!

What an amazing place. They have a huge variety of animals. Very well organised. The tram trip helps completing the visit in a short time, though for a nice view, it is recommended that you walk around. The animal enclosures could have been bigger.

I am fascinated by the world standard authentic landscape design of the Singapore zoo that allows the zoo exhibits to roam freely it's most next to the best natural environment. the other thing i enjoyed is the availability of free cool drinking water made available. Some of the rare exhibits are a delightful watch and great time to spend an educational day for my family.

I haven't been to any other zoo which is so well kept and child friendly.. Fully equipped with baby strollers and wagons... Enclosures are so well built you will never miss viewing an animal... River safari with amazon river quest, zoo and night safari are must do... Can be done in a day but reach early by 9am... Later queue can be absurdly long in season time

Singapore zoo is the best zoo in Asia now. The zoo make you feel very close to animals and feel very safe too. Actually you can go to river safari at the same day but it a bit rushing. I hear the local Singapore said in next few year they will move the Jurong bird park to next to Singapore zoo too. So the zoo will bigger. I wonder how is new park like. My son enjoy the zoo so much. The food also many choices. But we wait very long to find Taxi when we come back during the rain... still don't have direct MRT to the zoo yet but the have bus link to nearest MRT line. Bring your own bottle you can fill it very corner. Enjoy ....

Amazing wildlife park! You will need an entire day to see every exhibit inside the park.

You should also try to plan your route so you can catch as many animal feeding sessions and animal shows as you can!

Singapore Zoo is really a great place to visit. Lots of animals and very organized and clean. Timings are around 8:30-6pm.
The zoo area to cover can take even 6hrs if you are an animal lover. Lots to walk so carry a cap, Sunscreen and water. There are many shows which have certain timings do check them in advance and be there half an hr before to get decent seating. (bird, elephant show many others)
The night safari is worth the wait. Can see animals well and with good distance, there is a mini train which you take and that stops at many places in the zoo and then you can visit the animals in that area.

The seal show really amazed with how smart it is. Too bad the polar bear passed away. The malaysian bat flying around with its six feet wingspan was also a hihlight. They are like all tame animals and not afraid of humans. I was not afraid of monkeys falling down to grab food away like i am at other places. It has the feel of a wild animal park which is really an oxymoron. There are four tram stops but it doesnt stop by the entrance. Walking around in one afternoon only clocked me 4 miles and with so many stops, it really is doable without the tram. The ah meng restaurant is also reasonably priced unlike many overpriced zoos elsewhere. There are also three other exhibits where you pay separate entrance fees for but the zoo was all i could handle in half a day. I might consider returning for the night and river safari on another day.

If I couldn t visit this zoo I would have wrong thought about it. No one can believe if he or she doesn t visit Singapore zoo that how a zoo could be so organised and so clean. My son so impressed when we just entered and as times goes on we became so surprised.

I have visited the night zoo and it was one of the best experiences of my life!!! Don't forget to spray yourself dutifully with mosquito repellent and then just enjoy the ride, walk and the show. Arrive early to give yourself enough time to enjoy everything!

Excellent zoo with a nice variety of animals. Easy pathways, trams for those who can't walk to much. Must animals in natural settings and generally easily seen. Very busy when we were there early October.

it's not a zoo it's a jungle you don't feel like you are in a zoo cause you're not seeing the cages and other stuff the organization of the zoo is amazing sector by sector with your map you'll see almost every species of animal that exists on earth they brought them with there environment and put them in this zoo there's the main entrance with counter to get tickets and it's about 33 SD to enter you'll have 4 transportation stops that can take you to every part of the zoo I recommend that you don't get into any one and only to walk and to go and visit every corner of it it decently worth visiting also you can take the zoo bus to get there it comes every 20 minutes from Alkhateb station and only coast you about 1 Singaporean Dolar for a one way trip

One of the best zoos I've seen. Everything is done very beautifully and smartly. However, it leaves a double opinion because of the enclosures with orangutans, very small for their size. You look at their faces (I can t say a muzzle), and it seems that they look at you with quite reasonable eyes. Definitely recommended to visit.

Went with a couple of friends. Reached there around 11a.m and left at about 5pm. There are more than enough places to visit, even after walking non-stop throughout the day, there were still exhibits that we had not managed to cover. You can feed the goats at the play area at a certain timing for 5 bucks if I remember it correctly. If you are planning to go, please do bring sunscreen, copies amounts of mosquito repellent, an umbrella (in the event of a downpour) and if you don't want to spend an exorbitant amount on food and drinks there, bring your own. The mark up on snacks there seems to be something in the ballpark of 10000%, ok maybe I exaggerated, but you get my point. Overall, money well spent, the zoo exhibits feels less like a enclosed wire meshed cage and more like an open living space, I wouldn't go so far as to say they have great environments, but they definitely don't feel as inhibited or cooped up as compared to some other places I have visited. I liked it. Would recommend.

Fun place to be. It's a complete day's activity. River safari, night safari have separate routes.
Make sure that you don't miss any show or be around during feeding times of animals, that way you would be able to get closer to animals.
It's more convenient to pre book your ticket with a tram ride instead paying for the tram in the park.

Great place to spend a day with family and little ones. Plan your trip early and catch the feeding times. Also do visit river safari to catch the giant panda.

During covid-19 you need go pre book your time slot online. Animal feeding also required online booking in addition to the fees and queue. Overall visit during covid-19 is more pleasant than usual maybe due to the limited guests admitted. Do also take note pram service is suspended till further notice.

Here is nice place to spend a time with family. Staff is so kindness. What is great point is close to animals and great organized atmosphere. If you want to take a photo with Orangutans during breakfast, I recommend to go there around 8:30 or booking table. Otherwise your seat is far from Orangutans.

Lovely place, with amazing variety of animals, also well groomed and well fed. The facility is large enough for the well being of the animals. Visitor also had an assortment form of activities, you can watch an animal show, to taking a tour with the safari tram. The access to the instance is considerably easy, you can take the bus from the town with the guidance of google maps' direction. Would return again someday.

Was honestly one of the best zoo s I have ever been to. Super clean, with incredible animals. The keeps also clearly care about and respect the animals. If you have the time, I would highly recommend also checking out the night safari at the zoo. It was very cool to see nocturnal animals that you very rarely see.

Singapore Zoo is a must visit place in Singapore. Well maintained and organized. You can see some rare animals like pandas there. Animal feeding sessions and various shows available. You will get a map of zoo when you entering and show times are printed on that. Make sure to go on Amazon quest boat ride and its an amazing experience.

Best Zoo I have ever been too! Different sections such as River Cruise, Jurong Bird Park and Singapore Zoo. Unfortunately I did not have time to go to the bird park. This is an all day event. I explored the river and zoo. Enclosures are very good, beautiful zoo in general. Plenty of bathroom facilities. Easy to navigate the zoo. Love the rainforest, open feel of the Zoo. Animal conditions/homes - from a visitors view - best I ve seen. Well done Singapore. I only hope other countries take note of this zoo. Buses, taxis, easy to get to and from. Plenty of food options. Would love to come back. New areas under construction too.

While I had only 20hours layover in Singapore I chose to see their ZOO first and I do not regret it at all. What a fun place. I went there in early morning just couple of minutes after opening and even if some of animal's coops were in process of cleaning (only white tiger and reptiles) I managed to see everything and I arrived during feeding time so I my experience was even better. If you arrive in early hours or you're staying in Singapore for couple of days, definitely go to the Zoo as soon in the morning as possible.

I have been living in Singapore for more than 17 years now until now. Singapore Zoo never fails to amazed me. The transformation for the last 17 years was truly amazing. If you have not been yet to a zoo where animals are not caged but kept a safe distance away from you. Then definitely this place is for you..

Nice and comfy Zoo. Nice and entertaining sea lion show. I was found out a big lizard crawling under my table. Everything is great ! But this place lack of smoking area... It would be perfect if there's 1 or 2 inside the Zoo

This zoo is incredibly beautiful! You can take a very close look onto the numerous animals without many fences. There are also numerous cool animal shows, such as the 'Elephants of Asia'.
The tram is also very comfortable to take, although sometimes very full with long lines (mostly at the entrance and after shows).

RIP INUKA

RIP INUKA
PROS: Super cool experience, most of the animals are not in cages so it's very authentic, zoo staff was super friendly
CONS: *Make sure you check the weather when you go. Since there are no enclosures, the animals won't be out. Even if it doesn't rain, Singapore is very humid and hot, so bring water bottles, fans and etc.
OVERALL: 10/10 (I'm a zoo enthusiast)
