it is putting several apartments on renovation and demolition while an office is working. debris, filthy air, foul moldy air throughout our building. not to mention debris falling into my working space while I am operating. promise of air filters but have not delivered and it is now going on week 3 of construction. unbearable noises. very filthy and unsanitary environment. water shut down with one day notice when my business requires water to operate. no flexibility in rescheduling the shut down ( not an emergency shut down- it is for their renovation) . it collects full rent still. this is absolutely outrageously unfair. be ware !!
OCT 15,2014 since sept 8 until now the entire building is in a distressful state. lobby, hallway are filthy and unaesthetic. workers pound on walls, ceilings all day long without any regard for the businesses in this building. No words from the owners or managers on making it better and they ignore all my effort to resolve the problems. I am losing my business as I type this.

This building is purchase by this company for about an year and I already feel the review of this. I think I have the same issue with all you out there people having it. Contact if there is something going on but office not always pick up 50/50% chances and if they do you don't know who to talk with as this company is way to big. It will takes days to weeks maybe you can get it solve or not. Now I have 1 year lease left with it and I can't wait for it to end. I was hoping to leave earlier but not sure what will happen ? Any Attorney here can give me advice ? This company is serious an joke.

simply an awful, heartless company. they cut off my heat for a month in the middle of winter and REFUSED to lower my rent. replaced our in wall radiators with huge, clunky steam radiators that look like they came from the 1800s. construction going on all the time: dust coming in through our vents, loud noises throughout the day, water boiler shut off without notice, a weird plaster-like smell. management is unresponsive, people who should be in the office are never there or won't answer the phone. do not rent from these people

Would not recommend renting from Silverstone. I signed a lease for an apartment managed by Silverstone and on the day of my move, they claimed the city deemed the apartment unfit for occupancy. They were constantly late in responding to me, not prepared to handle any request I made for information or maintenance, and consistently charged me the incorrect monthly rent.

Worst real estate ownership team I have ever encountered. They gave me 48 hours to sign my lease after using the wrong lease start date and wouldn't respond to any of my emails or calls. Pretty sure the number listed here will never take you to a real person - I've tried all the menu options and no one has ever picked up. Please listen to all the other reviewers here when they say that this group is horrible and should be avoided at all costs.

Worst Management In NYC. They have no problem increasing rent prices every year yet the maintenance of the building gets worse and worse. They have shut off our boiler in the building leaving us without hot water or heat for days at a time. They shut of my heat in October, November and January to "repair problems" It has now been off for three days and I had to call off of work because I was unable to take a shower. This is completely unacceptable when I am paying to live here. I have had to leave my apartment and stay with friends because it was so cold in my building without heat in WINTER. My super doesn't even live in Manhattan and if we need anything fixed we have to file a request with the office and half of the time they don't answer. I have put up with a lot of inconveniences with this company and could go on and on. Do yourself a favor and find a better management company when looking for a place to live in the city.

the most fraudulent management you will ever have. They don t take care of problems. They are disgusting. I have been having issues with this management for months and they don t care. They violate the lease terms on several matters. Be aware if this management manages you building run and never get an apartment with them. They don t care about anything.

My entire experience dealing with Silverstone was a genuine nightmare. When they first sent us the paperwork, they incorrectly typed my email in, so I wasn t able to sign the paperwork. When I finally (after a long time) was able to get the paperwork correctly sent to my email, they failed to change my email in the system. After telling them that they had the wrong email, they still failed to change it in the system. Thus, I was not able to receive any of their emails.

While I was trying to pay my rent on their website, it truly took forever. It took both my roommate and I two hours on two different devices to load the website, just so we could pay our rent. Now this was not a problem of our connectivity, but a failure on the website to simply direct us to the payment page.

We moved out a month and a half ago and still have not received the deposit back. My roommate and I have emailed and called the company but our emails and calls have not been getting returned. Finally, one woman, Tiffany, emailed me to tell me that she had emailed me a month and a half ago with directions on how to receive my deposit back. However, because they never changed my incorrect email in the system, I never got the email. When I contacted Tiffany to send it to the correct email, she was unresponsive. I have still yet to hear back from Silverstone for this and am extremely frustrated with their lack of communication.

Dealing with Silverstone has truly been a nightmare and I would recommend not using them.

The staff is sickly rude and unhelpful. No respect or care to tenants at all. Basically living on the construction site with unbearable inhumane noise going on six days a week and dusty everywhere. Ripped ceiling and dust covered door. Construction workers pack the elevator all the time. Old old building crappy facilities nothing works. Tenants' mails get stolen from time to time. No one even cares!

Warning: AVOID any property which is under the man...

Warning: AVOID any property which is under the management of this company. They will fill your life with construction noises, wake you up right at 7 am. And issues like tilted floor and ceiling.

My wife and I lived in a Silverstone property for 1 year in Carroll Gardens. We had a positive experience and i would recommend them based on our short interactions with the management and the service people.

The move-in process was very easy. We even moved in a day early because the apartment was ready.. painted, clean, bright. everything in good working order. It was an easy process to get the keys.

While living in Silverstone s building, we had few issues. They regularly sent someone to check for bugs and rodents though that wasn t an issue for us. They had a very nice people regularly take the trash and recycling to curb. Kept the property clean. They provided all the necessary safety requirements and always were quick to respond in case of need. The super was always quick to reach out to help.

Move-out was also fast and easy. They returned 100% our deposit.

We would have been happy to transfer to another Silverstone property if we didn t move out of the area and if we move back, we ll definitely consider them for help.

My experience renting an apartment from them was pretty good. However, it was when it was time to move out that their lack of professionalism became apparent. They had no problem contacting me immediately to complain that I wasn t available enough to show the apartment to new potential renters because I was busy *working as a fireman which has odd hours, but are now complete ghosts when it comes to giving me an answer on why my security deposit hasn t been returned 6 weeks after vacating the property...terrible customer service.

This company only use insidious and illegal method for Asian especially for international students! Be cautious!

Many Asian residents leave without deposit, and some of them are even forced by Silverstone GP managers to delay their lease so that you need to keep paying.
Even though Asian students are have already vacated apartment and moved out apartment before their lease ends and sign the form that indicate they don t want to rent anymore.
The Silverstone Gp never check apartment on lease ending date, by this way they can keep counting more renting dates on you.

Most college s WeChat official accounts will have a blacklist article about this company later about the details of how they cheating and treat Asians differently. So keep an eye on it

I want to give 0 stars if i can. They never answer their calls or email. I had an emergency question and it took me a week to get a reply after calling and emailing 50 times to 6 different people and took me another few days to get another reply. It delayed my whole schedule and I have never felt so frustrated in my life and stressed me out so much. Im glad im leaving and hopefully i don't have to deal with this type of stress ever again.

It is genuinely shocking how bad and unresponsive this ownership group is. They are truly an embarrassment to the industry, and should be embarrassed of themselves. I have called their office countless times over the course of my lease, and I have NEVER had someone pick up on the other end. This is how they treat the tenants that put money in their pockets. Urgent emails are ignored for days or weeks, and when responses finally come, they never make a process easy. Don't get an apartment from this group, and don't hire anyone who came out of this organization. It should be criminal how negligent they are, and I hope they get what is coming to them soon enough.
