This company takes your money and runs with it. Unbeknownst to us, Silvershore handles the security deposits of J Wasser and after 3 MONTHS, they still claim our deposit is "processing". While they make interest off our money, we have been more than patient and we have been met with infuriatingly uninformative emails or have been given no response at all. I'm now filing a claim in court to get my money back. Renters beware, make sure your lease notes an EXACT DATE for your deposit to be returned. Under NY State law you're entitled to information regarding the bank they use to hold that deposit and the interest that account accrues (which you can collect a percentage of).

Silvershore/barmadon is not a management company - they don't manage anything, the only thing they are good at is collecting money. Even then, they send in the monthly rent invoice late. The only way to get anything done is to go to the office, don't bother calling or emailing. Try to avoid doing business with Silvershore... Not worth the headache.

Made me realized how humans are scarier than rats in our building. I think I met a real life Satan. This company is beyond what you can imagine, probably worst than a nuclear bomb or black death. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR BUILDINGS FOR YOU OWN SAKE.

Problem with your apartment? It s gonna stay that way if it s managed by Silvershore. The only positive reviews on here are from their employees/owners. One of which was my primary contact. Edit: F*** these people. Moved out 100 days ago and they refuse to return my deposit or offer any explanation. Edit 2: Deposit finally returned after 110 days.

Don't let the new renovations tempt you. These guys are just trying to kick lower income tenants out by buying them out and renting their neighbors/families apartments to wealthier people. They don't care how many times your heat/hot water shuts off. They don't care how big the pile of trash on your doorstep is. They don't care how many roaches are breeding in your walls and cabinets. And they certainly don't care how many times you call 311. If you see an apartment listed by Silvershore, or J Wasser & Co...STAY AWAY!

The only reason I am giving 3 stars is to shout out to Austin at J Wasser/Barmadon/Whatever the title of the day is. With his help, we did successfully get our security deposit back after lots of going back and forth (4 months) and filing for small claims court. Luckily we didn't have to go through with the hearing as the check cleared yesterday. We had all the same issues as the rest...rodents, frequent heat and hot water loss (my daughter actually contracted hives from hypothermia, that was lovely) and flooding in the building. However, when we had heat loss, they did deduct those days from our rent the following month. Not saying it was worth it, but if you're in that position, don't be afraid to ask. It's the least they can do.

Definitely slum lords! They allowed heat/hot water to be turned off in one of their buildings for 10 days with response. They are trying to sell of their properties and have allowed their buildings to fall into decay: pests rampant, mold, water damage, poorly constructed internal stairs. They will not authorize any kind of repairs (for leaks, mold, faulty machinery), they will take your money) and don't care whether they get reported to NYC HPD. If you search their name you can find dozens of stories about how they've treated tenants across Brooklyn.

I've been waiting nearly six months for my security deposit, when it was meant to be delivered within 60 days. Initially I was told to keep calling back to check in on the status (!!) and now they no longer answer my calls or return my emails, despite me threatening to sue. This week I'm filing a claim in small claims court. It's unfair for them to hold renters accountable for on-time monthly payments but there is zero accountability on their end. Horrible customer service and experience in general. Will never rent with them again.

Two of the only three five star reviews on here are from people that work for/used to work for this company, Mimi and Brandon. I imagine the third five star rating mirrors the others. That alone should speak for itself. I honestly didn't have a huge problem with Silvershore for the majority of my two years in a building they owned. The problems in the building (lack of heat and hot water, for example, or a cascading leak in the bathroom) I blame mostly on the former management company. However, since moving out, I've yet to receive my security deposit. I pester and pester, and no one answers my calls. I've a reasonable person, and I forgive easily. But I can't excuse the childishness and immaturity of the people I've dealt with here. Jason seems to be the only reasonable one.
