Well we use to love the Reef and be down twice a week as we would have lots of playing time but since new management has taken over it has hit rock bottom in our eyes. The slots are so tight that your money is gone before you know it The casino it not as clean as it use to be, over flowing ashtrays,ashes all over the slots, empty glasses all over the place, the staff look messy in their dress and can be very snotty as well. By 10 - 10:30 on a Friday & Saturday night it all very young, drunken people and their families.
As well as some really amazing people have left because of the new management and they will be VERY much missed.
I have been told that there will be no more slot tourneys, no more New Years Eve Bash, No Super Bowl parties..
This just sucks We will not be heading back

We had a social event in the new part of the hotel. The suite was fantastic and had lots of room for about thirty of us. The patio was really nice too. They even had a gas fireplace when things got colder. The service was great as well.

Asian buffet is as horrible as can be, but other buffet nights of western food is ok.
Kinda expensive now that they raised the prices

I used to come to Silver Reef 2-3 times a week and have a lot of fun. The slots are way too tight now and too boring so I quit going. I have more fun and winnings driving down south.

They have a serious lake of customer service skills. Great place to go and gamble so long as you dont expect anyone to care about services you receive while there.

Clean place with alot if new game. But pay outs on bonuses was not very high. Compared to other casinos.

The hotel rooms were very clean. Awsome showers. Tons of different restaurants to choose from. Did i mention a tequila bar too? To many machines to choose from.

I like this casino overall. Some of their people could use a refresher on customer service add the smoke gets to me after a while. But the Steak House is AMAZING!!! Great service and great food!!!!

Never been to Hotel part, casino and food re better then good.

Not a good place to call for entertainment cost too much money and nothing in return.

Very friendly and clean however, wish there was a better exhaust system for all the smoke. Even the small non smoking section is not well ventilated and the second hand smoke is uncomfortable.

Our first visit to the casino. It was further along the road than I expected, but all in all a great facility.

We stayed there dec. 21st for our honeymoon. Very nice room. Our son was home on leave from the army, there were helpful in getting him a room to. It was the first time ever stayed there. We'ed stay again. We had a lot of fun

The silver reef is a fun place to go with friends.. The rooms are brand new and super clean and the choices of slots and table games are good, although there should be more than just one roulette table. It is always over crowded.

I can honestly say I miss going to the Silver Reef. We used to go there at least a couple of times a week and stay overnight several nights a month. We are Canadians and as long as America has that disgusting excuse for a human being in their White House we will not set foot in your country.

Helpful staff with a wide variety of restaurants to eat at. I wish there air exchange was better to filter out the cigarette smoke.

Lots of parking, clean washrooms, variety of food options. It would be better if it had no smoking

This casino is a favorite for U.S. and Canadian visitors. Huge venue with over a thousand slots, a good variety of table games, large payouts, and a nice non-smoking area. Hotel is new and clean. Staff members are well-trained and pleasant. Several restaurants to choose from...deli to first class steak house.

I visited the casino tonight with my uncle. I have visited earlier and never had a bad experience infact the dealers have always been nice.

However this time we were playing roulette and the dealer was not at all polite to us. My uncle tipped her many times still she was very rude to us. She refused to help him place the chips on the other corner which he was not able to reach. The lady's name was Crystal and it definitely is not the way to treat customers.

I would appreciate management ensuring the servers are more polite to customers. A smile never hurts.

I cant give a great review because I dont care for casinos in general. But the SR is good for what I've seen and getting better as it goes.

Tequila bar lady was the best. Nachos at bar very tasty. We actually left with more money.

I normally do not go in a smoking casino, this one was not as bad smelling as others. Friends talked me into the Monday night buffet 5.00 of of the 10.00 price. Nothing to brag about here but for 5 bucks it was a good value and the staff texted us like we were paying 20.00. we got 10.00 in e funds to use to gamble with, lost it all in 10 minutes. Thank goodness it was not our money we lost. There is a reason I don't gamble. If I lived here I might come back. But I would not take time out if my Holliday to visit unless others were going too.

Not really the funnest place to go do you like to be hassled for your ID card and treated like you're doing something wrong all the time go there I don't

We ate at the Chinese restaurant the food was great service was great fast, efficient, nice ambient environment!! All around great it's not to far off the freeway exit and you get alot of food for a reasonable price! Definitely recommended!

Visited the buffet, it was great! The payouts in the casino were very good. Great service, the only negative is it was smokey.

Love going here for a break. Seem to win more often than not. We have a lot of fun here. Drinks and food are really good too.

We had dinner in the buffet - seafood night. Wonderful choices. As always an excellent meal. Played some slots and had a great time

If you enjoy crab, prawns and other seafood the Silver Reef Friday night seafood buffet is the place to be.

Nice and clean with great staff. Newly expanded non smoking area. Great food options with multiple restaurants inside the casino. During the reopening around Covid the casino disabled every other machine to ensure guests could respect social distancing. I enjoy this place!

Friendly staff. Food options are terrible at night. Long wait for the only open restaurant and not worth the wait. On the plus side the new hotel rooms in the new wing are very nice. Great showers.

Good place to put the buds in the ears and get lost

Champagne brunch buffet was excellent! Not a huge variety of food but the quality of the food was delicious. I rather have less choices and perfected items. We will be back for sure.

Previous gambling gave my wife a complimentary room on in the hotel. We chose to spend only one night and did some gambling.



The hotel is non-smoking and the room we were given was very luxurious with a very comfortable king-size bed with all the amenities (desk, TV, bath/shower, vanity, fine toiletries, good lighting, built-in USB charging, reading chair, iron & board, black-out blind, etc; although we did not find an in-room safe). The hotel also has a pool & Spa, although we did not use them this time. Check-out time was noon... good for us late risers! Free breakfast buffet was also included with a large variety of foods & beverages (ham, bacon or sausage was a nominal $2.95 extra, if desired). All in all a very nice getaway!

the chinese restaurant is absolutely the best! the buffet is very good,too. it has good variety and pleasant staff. if you have to line up...don't worry, it goes fast!

Amazing fun place! Stay at the hotel for sure and go to the pool and hot tub! Just had a couple's maaaage and it was amazing and professional! The steak house is so good! The best New York steak I've ever had! A great place to take someone special or for a special occasion. Highly recommend!!

Didn't stay overnight but thoroughly enjoyed the casino

My wife and I decided to have our guest from our recent wedding stay at the silver reef casino and it was a HUGE MISTAKE!!! The rest of the wedding went seamlessly, but all of the problems that we did encounter were due to silver reef casino. First they had problems getting the reservations correct for several guest. They charged a guest several months before their stay, they did not associate several guests with the wedding, the did not get the names of several guest correct.....and the list goes on.... It got so bad that I had people from my wedding calling me to try to get the hotel to fix the problem because the guest had already been on hold for about thirty minutes without any positive changes being made. So I called the hotel to try to get the names of the guest corrected and ended up getting transferred several times because no one had the authority to help me solve the problem. After several hours on the phone with the hotel coordinator to fix all of the issues, she mentioned that they could offer us a secluded area on the sixth floor (private floor) to have a wedding rehearsal. They were going to offer coffee, cookies and appetizers to make up for all of the hassle that our guest and myself had to endure. The sixth floor was so private that they even offered to have a hotel staff member shuttle our guest to the sixth floor on the elevator because guest could not get to it without a special key.....Low and behold! No one helped all of our guest to the sixth floor and there were no appetizers or coffee. I had to ride the elevator up and down for 45 minutes to get our guests to the rehearsal and in the end; the "private" area that they offered on the sixth floor was not private. After several trip myself up and down the elevator to get our guests to the sixth floor, other guests in the hotel constantly interrupted us. When I asked the front desk about the problem, she started to argue with me saying that they had not agreed to that. Then when she finally contacted a supervisor and found that she was wrong, she then said that it was not their fault and that a member of the hotel staff had attended.......I was there and they did not! Do not stay at this hotel and especially do not coordinate a wedding with this hotel. On top of it all...many guest complained that the wall were to thin and they could not sleep because of the noise, But even if it was quite that they could not sleep in those hard beds anyways. Their staff is incompetent and should not be trusted with even your credit card number! Hope this helps.

Overall, I really liked this casino. Full table games, including BJ, Craps, Paid Gow. Table minimums are too high for a small casino, and way too many penny slots.
The ambience was great, very clean, the bartenders were awesome, and we had fantastic pizza there too.
Rooms are fairly reasonable priced, and very nice, upscale. Great location just west of Bellingham near the I-5 Freeway.
I will update my review after I visit a 2nd time, soon. 4 stars for now.

The staff are friendly in the casino but the hotel staff and security are awful with their customer service as well as apologizing for making mistakes in judgement. The food is great especially the brick oven pizzaria! Other than that...it's not worth the drive to Ferndale Washington to spend time or money (besides the food). Silver Reef casino? Should be renamed Silver Thief casino.

Went to dinner at their seafood buffet for family birthday. Food was fresh and delicious. The options were plentiful.

The buffet was worth the price, it was seafood theme the day I was there. The clam chowder was so good I could just have that.

Nice casino. Good buffet. It has a smoke free area which is nice. A few car chargers would be nice but we can't have everything!

I have been coming to this casino for quite a while the last little while the machines have been quite tight you moved to different machines and it's the same way I can understand that a casino has to make money but when it doesn't give anything back and the machines doesn't seem to go into the bonuses as often as before makes me wonder what's going on my recommendation is to stay away from this casino as it's not leaning towards the customers it's only out for themselves

Visited the buffet with family. The food was excellent. I had some fun playing slots after dinner. Amazing casino and very friendly staff.

The staff is always extremely friendly, I just wish they still had their Mexican restaurant.
