Best winery in Napa, hands down. Friendly staff, amazing wine and a beautiful setting. I asked about a million questions about the wine making process and the staff was very knowledgeable and happy to answer my questions. This is a MUST for any wine tasting outing!

So you like amazing wine? Then this should be a pretty easy choice for you. Generous pours, and John was an amazing host. Never thought I would buy a bottle of Silver Oak because I'm cheap, but God damn did that tasting convince me.

Had a bad experience at this winery. I took a picture of one item in the shop and a staff member ran over and asked in a rude tone whether she could help me. She then berated me for taking a picture in their shop, and accused me of winery espionage. Really? Has this winery not entered the digital age? Not sure whether she was paranoid, crazy, or both, but it ruined the experience. Also, we could not sit outside since they had reserved this for a large party, and had very limited outside seating. While other wineries had very down to earth people pouring and explaining the wine, Silver Oak seemed both scripted and uptight in how they interact with visitors. The "ick" factor was palpable, and the wine was not that interesting. I recommend giving it a miss.

Rude, rude, rude with NO ability to give detail to the wine! I was so disappointed with the new winery. We had 3 pours for $20.00 each. 3 attendees that were progressively more rude! I bought a bottle and they didn't even comp the 40$ tasting! What a joke....go down the street to SodaRock where they are very friendly and the wine is comparables or even better! Don't waste your money or your time!

We were blown away at arrival. Our server, Gabe, was truly incredible and made us feel at home. He was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about wine and very easy to talk to. We had an incredible experience and will make sure to go again the next time we re in Napa Valley.

I love this wine, and I often drink it in the restaurant. On this day, tasting tour etc. did not participate in the third winery, but it is a winery of a spacious vineyard and a very beautiful building. The Cabernet Sauvignon blended wine is very delicious.

Absolutely amazing stuff. What a wonderful experience. Take the time and arrive early. Make sure that you buy the Twomey Experience. Debbie Klimek was our wonderful tour guide and she was very knowledgeable. A self-described "wine geek" a huge amount of tribal knowledge and historical knowledge. Not only one of the most important wineries in California, this family-owned and family-run business is a great American success story. Cheers to David Duncan and his family. Thank you for everything.

Had the pleasure of going through our tasting with the exec chef who is more involved in the wine process during covid. What a treat that was for us. This place is STUNNING. Being a fan of Silver Oak for sometime was very excited to visit and it didn't disappoint. Recommend the vertical tasting and pregaming with a lot of bread

Have always loved both the Napa and Alexander Valley Silver Oak Cabernets - especially to pair with food. Really enjoyed visiting the winery and learning even more about why they strike my fancy. Tasted 4 selections and all were wonderful. Our tour guide was exceptionally pleasant and professional. The facility was beautiful. Took home several bottles. Highly recommended.

It is a winery that you'll probably go to. They make decent wine. It seems that I sell more Silver Oak than anything else so they must be doing it right. The only issue I have is it's size and the amount of people that they see. The first thing that I noticed was the fact that the parking lot was designed to accommodate tour buses. I completely understand that I would love to own this property, and be the one charging for tours, it's just that I probably would of skipped the tour after I had seen the parking lot and heard the spiel that the nice guide gave us, that once he had started you could tell he had gave 500 time that year. We rather enjoy the tours where your met by the owners dog!

The $75 starting price in bottles is ridiculous, the tasting is similarly overpriced for a glass, but they do make killer cabs. Silver oaks fills a luxury product niche with a quality product but you don t need to pay these prices for wine of this caliber.

Delicious wine. Tasting available without reservations. Property was beautiful. Wine was available to purchase. Also, a small amount of clothing and other items were available for sale inside. The outside of the property had a fountain, statues and some beautiful unique features. Parking was free and easy. Staff was very kind, helpful and personable.

Amazing experience at Silver Oak. They truly know how to welcome and accommodate guests. They do their best to accept walk ins with parties 6 or less. Our host Brooks was fantastic. Made the experience with his knowledge unforgettable.

Silver Oak Cellars in Oakville, California, part of the Napa Valley AVA has a motto; Life is a Cabernet. Founded in 1972 by Ray Duncan and Justin Meyer with wines aged exclusively in American oak barrels. With a wonderful property and tasting room, they also have a second vineyard in Sonoma s Alexander Valley near Healdsburg, plus establishing the Twomey Cellars in 1999. Beautiful property! A little chaotic and confusing inside. After we paid for our tasting we met some people from our state and were talking outside the tasting room in the outdoor green space. An employee walked out soon after and asked what we were doing bc some really important people were about to come. . We got the message and left. Sorry we weren t important enough but we had fun w new found found friends! Hard to beat the south and friendly people!

Crap. This place was great. Sprung for the private tasting. While pricey was totally worth it. Tastings a plenty of great wines, beautiful grounds, great service - this place was totally memorable and tons of fun. Recommend calling ahead and making an appointment.

A wonderful and welcoming location. The site well maintained and inviting. It is completely in contrast to the Alexander Valley location which is ultra modern. This has a rustic feel but is brand new. The wine sampling choices are terrific and the staff extremely helpful. Definitely worth a stop when touring Napa Valley.

Loved it! Jody, the tasting room manager was awesome! She spent a lot of time talking with us and even sent us to Twomey, Silver Oak's sister winery. I enjoyed how even with a walk in tasting, we never felt rushed. We were able to take our pours of wine outside or walk around. Also fun that the third pour is from their library collection. Hard to get something that fantastic when you're just dropping into a tasting.

One of our favorite Cabernet wines. We were really looking forward to our wine tasting and tour, but upon our arrival we experienced a very arrogant and rude staff. They seemed very unorganized and we waited a very long time for our tour to start. Our guide actually saved the day by taking us on a great tour of vineyards, glass house library and tasting room. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was was truly exquisite.

Silver Oak is obviously a pretty commercialized vineyard, but they are still able to give you personal experience during tasting and the wine experts are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The wine speaks for itself. They only make cabs and they have mastered the art. We really enjoyed the knowledge, the views and most importantly the wines. If you are looking for a mom-and-pop shop, this isn't your spot, but if you want to enjoy some incredible cabernets, then it's a must.

My husband & I visited Silver Oak on our very first visit to Napa and were completely amazed by the entire experience! We already loved their Cabernets, so it was wonderful to learn more about the history and family behind the wine! Beautiful location, exceptional wine, and the most kind people - a must do for anyone visiting the Napa area.

This is a winery I wish I'd skipped. The service was good enough, but given the size of the tasting room and the crowd, the people working the tasting bar were not able to focus much on our group. We paid $25 (typical Napa tasting inflation) for 3 pours of cab. While all they make is cab, one of the three would we have started to think about purchasing. Although these wines may lay down quite nicely, I don't want to have to wait 20 years for a bottle to mature for actual drinking. All of the wine we drank including the library one was still too young, dry and tannic. Better wine elsewhere.

Tom was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing. He was so friendly and informative and we were so thankful to have him as our guide on the tour! He definitely made our experience. The cabs here are absolutely incredible, you will not be disappointed. Must stop on your Napa wine tour!!!! We will be back!

About Silver Oak Cellars

For over 40 years, Silver Oak has produced delicious, distinctive and food-friendly Cabernet Sauvignon wines from our Napa Valley and Alexander Valley wineries.

Silver Oak Cellars: A Legacy of Distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon Wines

For over four decades, Silver Oak Cellars has been producing some of the most delicious and distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world. With two wineries located in Napa Valley and Alexander Valley, Silver Oak has become a household name among wine enthusiasts who appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle.

At Silver Oak, we believe that great wine starts with great grapes. That's why we carefully select only the finest fruit from our estate vineyards to create our signature Cabernet Sauvignon blends. Our commitment to sustainable farming practices ensures that our vines are healthy and vibrant, producing grapes with exceptional flavor and character.

Once harvested, our grapes are gently crushed and fermented in small batches to preserve their unique qualities. We use a combination of French oak barrels to age our wines for up to 24 months, allowing them to develop complex flavors and aromas that are both elegant and powerful.

But what truly sets Silver Oak apart is our dedication to food-friendly wines. We believe that wine should be enjoyed with good company and great food, which is why we strive to create blends that complement a wide range of dishes. Whether you're enjoying a casual meal at home or dining out at a Michelin-starred restaurant, you can count on Silver Oak wines to enhance your culinary experience.

Our flagship wine is the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - an iconic blend that showcases the best of what this region has to offer. With its rich flavors of blackberry, cassis, vanilla bean, mocha and baking spices; it's no wonder this wine has become one of America's most beloved reds.

In addition to our Napa Valley blend, we also produce an Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - another award-winning blend known for its bold tannins and ripe fruit flavors. Both wines have earned critical acclaim from top industry publications such as Wine Spectator , Wine Enthusiast , Robert Parker's Wine Advocate , James Suckling , Decanter Magazine , among others.

But don't just take their word for it - come visit us at one of our tasting rooms located in Napa Valley or Geyserville (Alexander Valley) where you can sample these exceptional wines firsthand while taking in stunning views of California's picturesque landscapes.

In conclusion,

Silver Oak Cellars is more than just a winery; it's a legacy built on passion for crafting world-class Cabernet Sauvignon blends using sustainable farming practices combined with traditional winemaking techniques passed down through generations since 1972 . Our commitment towards creating food-friendly wines makes us stand out from other wineries around the world . So whether you're looking for an everyday table wine or something special for your next celebration; look no further than Silver Oak Cellars!
