A very good happy hour that we enjoy taking our friends from the mainland for local fare.
A very good happy hour that we enjoy taking our friends from the mainland for local fare.
I had the best time coming here. My family came in for drinks and food and we were very very well taken care of. They have a custom brew of Side Street Ale (Beer) that is delicious. Had to convince my brother to be DD so I could drink plenty. For food, definitely try the Kimchi fried rice, also pork belly bao.
Delicious!
Good food especially the boneless kalbi and the pork chop yummy everything taste great staff are very friendly and good service..
Friendly staff. Alot of food.Met the owner and her friends and sister by accident, very friendly people. Will definitely come back here. Worth the wait
Food is always great, but parking is a pain due to having to install an app.
I used to use it with two couples, and this time with my daughter and four people.
I ordered pork chops and kimchi fried rice both times. Even four people left behind and took it home. It's very delicious, but the amount is so large that I can't ask for anything else. Looking at the tables around me, it seems that there are other things that look delicious. .. ..
There is a charge for parking at valet parking. The person in charge will come out according to the opening time of the shop in the evening, so if you go early, you will have to wait.
On Saturdays and Sundays, you can park on the street nearby. There is a time designation so be careful
Ordered 'pork-fest' at the Kapahulu location: pleasant surroundings, friendly service (on Hallowe'en yet..!) and our selections of their ribs and signature pork chops (plus great basic green salad...) and you really have to wonder if the pig made the greatest sacrifice to our meal...? That and the portions meant we still got to enjoy some leftovers for great take-out, still great value and a bit of amusing fun for an enjoyable Hallowe'en supper out! Mahalo again to the Side Street staff--the only other downside: we'll have to come back all the way from Canada again to sample your menu (but we're sending you referrals...and that's why this review, as a final thank you for a memorable dining experience...!)
Must stop on our 1st day of trip to Oahu. Pork chops...fried rice...and dont forget the peanut butter brownie w vanilla ice cream. Oh boy!
Amazing food! Be sure to order the fried calamari! The fried rice is generous and also so good!
Well first off we were ignored by Joel and made me feel unwelcomed. None the less I stayed only to be tormented by the waitresses bad listening skills. Never finished bring our food out and no utensils. Now the Food we did receive was alright example meat to fat ratio was not good.
A must if you are visiting the Island with a large group. The food is delicious and very filling. We had a group of 8 and could barely finish the family style meal. Definitely order the fried noodles, I think it's one of the best! I look forward to going again and make sure to make reservations.
It is a nice American bar atmosphere. Popular is pork chop, which is actually delicious. It will be habitual. As a point to note, all dishes are large, so if you go with four people, three people will be full. The more people here, the better the cospa is.
Location is easy to walk to from the Waukiki resort area. Service was awesome and food was excellent and plentiful.
Tried this place based on a recommendation from one of the staff members of our hotel and boy we were not disappointed.
This restaurant is known for their fried rice. First things first, the rice was amazing. Filled with bacon, Portuguese sausage, green onions it had a lot of Aloha in the dish. Second, it's huge. I went with my wife and we finished about half of the plate. Bring your appetite.
We also had the boneless garlic chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was moist/juicy and the batter was light and crisp. It has a sweetness to it when you bite into it with a strong garlic finish. Wash it all down with a blonde ale and that my friends is how you end the evening.
On the plus side, we have leftovers for breakfast.
Family style dining and great place to catch a game. Love their special for under $120
Great food and large portions, service was excellent
Great food...people were very nice...always smiling...you feel very welcome
Very best restaurant! The food is excellent! Love their steak and mushrooms, ribs, and Nalo greens.. pupus! Great service! Always buisy so get there early..reservation a good idea.
I was taken by my local cousin. I was allowed to wait about 30 minutes at the entrance. The food was terribly voluminous.
Good food... But unless you have a huge appetite or a large stomach you're gonna need to share! The spicy garlic chicken is amazing and the mixed drinks are tasty!
It gets a big line later on so show up early for a seat.
Had the pork chops which was very good, somewhat lean but not too dry and the boneless spicy garlic fried chicken which was really good. Service was really good they were super busy and packed due to holiday parties but we didn't had to wait too long 10 mins for a table of 2. No free refills on soda which was fine. Overall great place to eat and share food with friends.
Pork chops and kimchi fried rice, family style..... Plenty for two. Wait staff super friendly too
Bring friends and eat family style or you won't finish your meal.
Been here more than a dozen times and the food is always amazing! Boneless Kalbi ribs, Garlic spicy chicken, (which isn t really spicy) and of course the signature fried rice!! Yum yum yum! Love this local joint!!
Best fried rice and ono fish you will ever experience
Great food, don't order too much it's family style.
Great restaurant with lots of unique dishes and flavor
Everything on the menu is delicious, friendly bar staff
The place to go for local comfort foods. The works fried rice, deep fried pork chops, boneless kalbi short ribs, poki, Chinese chicken salad, garlic edamame, deserts, and drinks are all favorites of mine. The friendly staff are always helpful and like family. One of my favorites.
Awesome food (the fried rice is my favorite.)' with cool staff.
Went with a large party from work. We ordered the family style and supplemented with pupu's. Everything was excellent, service was great and atmosphere was super comfortable! Would recommend to anyone that is ready for a big meal.
Ono food! good alone with wife or with the whole family
Kalbi, pork chops,fried rice...nuff said.
Oops and da drinks! Did I mention the staff is really cool there
Oh gosh but this is 'ono!! Everything was fantastic. Huge portions but even better quality and taste.
Oh man, if you're looking for some outstanding Hawaiian comfort food, you've come to the right place! This place serves their dishes family-style, so be prepared to take home some tasty left-overs. We ordered a few favorites: the fried porkchop, fried rice and the pupukea farmers blend salad
The staff was nice; Mei,our server, was excellent. Food was great, decent prices. Family-style dishes. We ll be going back more often!
One if my favorite local restaurants...great fried pork chops, fried rice and kalbi.
That garlic chicken, pork chops and Kimchi fried rice could 8 people... unless they as big as me... then 3.
Incredible food. Friendly staff. Outside of the main tourist areas, but still close.
Good food, good drinks, super friendly staff!!! A must place to go!!
Wow. Simply amazing. Never has overeating made so happy.
Service was excellent at the bar. Only thing no food, cause kitchen was closed.
It is a sports bar and restaurant, and many people enjoy local families and watching sports. It is suitable for dining with large families and friends, rather than calmly eating.
I ordered pork chops, etc., which are recommended by the store, but I was surprised by the amount. Therefore, we recommend that you place an order considering the amount you can eat.
If you get tired of American food and want to eat Chinese food during your stay, this is a good restaurant.
Our food was actually really good. Had the yokisoba and a Caesar salad. Both huge portions and easily fed multiple at our table. But one of our party members had an order that had run out. We weren't told until the server brought out meals over. So a miscommunication there that didn't sit well with us especially based on the timing. Service was adequate but not much was done to make up for the error.
I have a new review. Went here to pick up food. Made order. Was out of one item. Contacted customer. After much debate he decided to leave it off and not substitute. Order placed. 20 minutes later the hostess tells me they are out of yet another dish. Called customer. He says he doesn't want just bread and rice. I concur. Voided original order. Cancelled. 45 minutes of my life wasted because the kitchen doesn't communicate with the front of the house. Sad.
Always yummy.
My husband and I love the Side street inn. The food is delicious portions are large. Valet parking is $6.00. And you can now make reservations on open table. I'm giving it a 4 just because the one on Hopaka street is a little bit better. Better service and bigger portions. This one is slightly cleaner. Very busy so make a reservation. Service can be brisk but you are usually just greatful to get in.
Delicious food. Huge family style portions. I regret just coming here as a couple because I want to order more. Lap cheong fried rice and kahlbi ribs are always a must. Also enjoy the salads. But everything is yummy.
Never disappoints
This place is AWESOME from the people to the food, nothing but goodness. Kali- beef was sooo delicious.
So awesome! A must do while hawaii. Great food, atmosphere and service
Side Street inn was very good. I went in last minute prior to kitchen closing. they were very friendly and did a great job of advising me what items on the menu were no longer fresh due to closing. I had a quick meal of buffalo wings. they were very hot just like i wanted them and the chicken was very delicious. the area of town its in is not bad. there were a couple of sketchy figures outside but nothing threatening. I would recommend for a late meal to anyone.
This was the perfect place to watch the Super Bowl! The food was great. I was surprised to see how they served the food in small rectangular paper trays, reminding me of luaus in the olden days!
Huge portions of well-executed local food. Not what I would pick for a healthy meal-- there's a lot of fat, salt, and carbs, but that's what this kind of cuisine is all about. We also had a few of the generously poured Jagermeister shots because they have the Jager chiller thing. I definitely felt the whole experience for more than 24 hours afterwards. Service was great.
Great fried rice porks chops were ok. Big sharing portions
The food and drinks are yummy!!! Good size portions...
The food is always good no matter what you order. The staff is very friendly especially the manager Albert, he is a very nice guy all the time
Excellent food tasty and plenty of it. Waiter very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly
Every dish is fried and oily and salty. The dishes are very generous. Not recommended for a couple. Must have a party or heavy eaters. Definitely not recommended if your on a strict or clean diet.
The food was delicious. The lamb chops and boneless kalbi is always a good choice. Would've gave it a 5 star review but our waiter seemed to be missing most of the time.
The food was amazing, everything I had there was great
Great food! Huge portions, I'm not kidding around about this do not expect to walk away hungry in the slightest, if you do it's obvious that you did something wrong. If you are indecisive or you just want to make it easy on yourself get the Classic. It's a huge salad, kalbi beef, the best friend rice, pork chops, edamame, and the juiciest fried chicken ever. We ordered the classic last night for 6 people, the menu claims it's for 3-4 people, and we still walked away with leftovers. All the food is absolutely delicious to boot, there was not a weak dish in the bunch. For dessert we all split a fried pound cake, which had a mountain of ice cream, whipped cream, and the most flavorful pound cake I've ever had. Take a big crowd, go hungry, leave happy.
I joined my friend for their alumni get together at side street inn. The room was separated from the main area but had large TVs and catered to at least 40ish people. The food was great, crispy fries, garlic fried chicken, and wonderful poi bun sliders to name a few things.
Great place for some great food, they have choice pork chops and fried rice.. also don't forgot there kalbi... if you looking for a good place to have some food with friends and grab a beer this is the place to be, they also have sports playing at all times two thumbs up
Awesome staff. Hung out at the bar, great Thanksgiving buffet
Great comfort food...almost too much to eat! Great left overs! Valet parking...great service! Good for a group of family or friends!
This another must try place in Waikiki.
Known for local food but offers all dishes through mainland. I ordered signature garlic chicken and turned out yummy. They offer big portions good for two. Manager (lady from evening shift) is very kind and explains menu to your understanding. Staff is super polite and service is quite quick. Ambience is beautiful with table bar on side.
Thanks
I went on a company trip.
Anyway, it s all volumey!!
I think the taste will suit Japanese people as well
I love their fried pork chops. Was feenin' for some last night at work. Mentioned to a patient that I was going to side street inn. They suggested I try the fried pound cake after I get my pork fix.
30 minute wait at 2030 on a Saturday night is not a bad wait at all for this place considering the 10+ people standing on the sidewalk outside of uncle bo's (2nd dining choice). There was no open seats at the bar ... shucks! The place cleared out a bit at 2130 once a large party in the back room vacated.
So I tried the pound cake that was suggested for the finale .... hmmm definitely not impressed. I mean, it was okay but not worth the calories ... double shucks! It says it was fried but honestly it tasted like it was drenched in chocolate sauce. I just ate the vanilla ice cream on top.
Didn't include pics ... sorry, I was pretty darn hungry
One of my favorite restaurants /bars. Valet is your best option. Paid parking in the adjacent lot is plentiful, but make sure you pay and don't overrun your allotted time. They do tow.
Looked scarey outside and inside doesn't look like much either but the food is good. Funiture needs reapolstered and layout changed. Met friends and they were in a hidden area.
This place is great. Very busy. Locals mostly, so if you want to eat where the locals eat...just dont advertise this and post all about it. Keep it a secret. The food is bomb. They got good drinks too. Highly, highly recommend.
