Shogun by Saisaki Restaurants Review

Rainy day was very pleasant under the large tent in front of the restaurant. First time their and looking forward to more of their fish tacos next time. Nice staff too!

My wife and I arrived during lunch no waiting no fuss good food great waitress.

I live in Florida and love good seafood. This by far was an excellent stop the restaurant was packed and you'd figure an hour wait I waited 11 min was sat and my server was on top of the whole service I had the harpoon and it was fried great family friendly also sports and news A Fantastic eat. This is my first visit to the new location. Amazing upgrade. Ordered the Shrimp Po Boy with sweet potato fries and a local Alewerks Coffeehouse Milk Stout. Sweet, tangy, crunchy. The shrimp were lightly fried on crunchy sweet apple slaw. Affordable with generous portions.

The food was good but I thought it was a little weird to look up and see camera right over my table.

Stopped in after visiting a CNU student and had an early dinner. The place was hopping but the service was superior as we were created, drink orders taken and without any pressure when we were ready to order no issues. My meal was the Holy Gumbo. Man what a meal! Big bites of CRAB, SHRIMP AND ANDOUILLE SAUSAGE that keeps your mouth full. Great place for a great meal.

Food was bland, cost is extremely high for the portion, staff was okay, extremely crowded even with a reservation still had long wait.

Crab cake was good but we're out of fried oysters which is what I wanted. Not New Orleans, which is what I'm use to , but I recommend. Waitress very nice

Service was excellent. The food was good. The scallops were excellent. Didn't have blue crab, so was a little disappointed. Great selection of local craft brews and good selection of sports on TV at the bar. Would definitely do again. Would appreciate it if all of the guys behind the line would wear head and beard covers.

Love this place. The shecrab soup and the rum runners are amazing.

was just told that regardless of whether I've been working out in the sun all day or not if I come to this establishment by myself I have to sit outside. The cool retreat inside is only reserved for people that come in groups. Not that the service was ever really that great but I did like the food the last time. but when somebody requests it inside because they've been working outside in their hot I believe that shouldn't be turned down by any restaurant. That's not taking your customers well-being in mind and I will never come back to this place again or recommend it to anyone

Great pricing, will do separate checks, and the seafood was amazing. We had a great time! I recommend the calamari and hush puppies, especially.

We had the mahi tacos, flounder, and one of the specialty salads and nothing failed to amaze our palate. Too bad we don't live in the area because we'd have become regulars mighty fast.

Dinner was horrible and way over cooked. Almost as though they forgot it was on the stove and still served it. Too many Illesponsibility kids working there. Lacks adult supervision.

Sat at the "raw Bar" with no wait. Oysters were excellent (raw). Combination plate had nice variety of seafood. Requested Bloody Mary had suggestions from bartender as to selection of Vodka and my taste in spices.

This place is a must! Staff friendly and attentive! She crab soup to die for(have to get the bowl) theres enough to share. Also got Crab legs and shrimp that was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this place to anyone. There is a bar area. and also serve your favorite brews.

Nice place. Was here before pandemic and had waiting line. Now it was about 1/4 full. Good draft beer selection. Had alewerks coffeehouse. One of better coffee stouts I have had. Burger and fries were perfect. Excellent service.

Place was jumping on a Thursday evening! Loved the atmosphere-high energy. Had the she crab salmon-was awesome-just missing side and veggie. Service was very quick, almost felt rushed.

Have been there a few times now and absolutely love them. Best calamari I've ever eaten. Everything they make there is just fantastic and the service is always fast and great.

Food was very fresh, staff seemed nice. I see why local favorite. Parking tough on work trucks, staff were kind enough to direct us to nearby staff parking. Definitely will be back. If you near Newport News...stop on by.

Food was good but expensive. Dinner for two (no alcohol) was over $100.00. Portions were meager, over $20 for 8 snow crab legs. Serve staff were helpful and attentive

We recently held a reception held at Harpoon Larry's. The staff was extremely easy to work with and took great care of our party. The food was excellent as well. Can't wait to make it back to the area to eat here again.

Love this place. The staff is so friendly and quick. The food is great. I like the Filipino/Cajun menu. Coffee is the best in this town. Tip: Get there early this place can get packed quick.i'm definitely a fan of the Sunrise Breakfast Shoppe. In, eat, out. That's my jam!

Nice atmosphere and awesome bar. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. I ordered red potato's instead of the fries that came with my po'boy. They charged me an extra dollar for that, even though both sides cost $2.79. Anyway, it turned out to be a dinky little bowl with TWO dinky red potato's in it!!! TWO! The service was great but the food so-so.
