In 2018 I bought a 2nd hand Specialized Stumpjumper from a cycling enthusiast. Was a virtually new Shimano Deore BR-M6000 rear on (2017) and almost the same quibble with it. First the brake lever was leaking but that was to repair for a few euros. When the caliper which I had to buy new because Shimano does not sell reviesie-sets like most other brands. So I had to buy a new brake caliper from 40, -. Once solved, the brake lever went after a month or 3-4 leak. So now I'm back with a bicycle without brakes and I can not order new brake as I am a student and have almost no money. So I called Shimano, and they could not help me. I had to go to a point Shimano service. But I've been completely detoxified from Shimano and SRAM go on to Level brakes because my (original) brake a SRAM brake, and this since 2012 BJ bike) has been working well as far as I know. A new brake will cost me 60 euros.

In the service department I have been helped very well twice in the past months. In the first place, I asked for advice on replacing a Nexus 7 hub. I have followed that advice and the hub works great!

I also asked for advice about replacing a SRAM 9v shifter. This worked with a Deore derailleur and 9v cassette. Unfortunately, the previous owner of the bike had damaged the handle of the shifter beyond repair to such an extent that I had to replace the entire shifter. After a lot of searching I had found a SRAM 9v shifter, but ... it didn't work! Then I called Shimano, because a 9v shifter for Deore (from 2003) was no longer delivered. Fortunately, I could still find the shifter that was introduced to me after a pleasant conversation and it works fine. Thanks!

As a happy owner of a few mid-range Shimano reels, that provide me special entartainment and reliable fishing tackles,I may say that the Marketing Department staff have proved an exceptional consideration for a simple private customer's concerns.Such honesty and touching attitude would have carried out my own country,Romania, much far beyond the present days condition...

Unfortunately, quite bad experience with Shimano. Stradic ci4 bought for grab him 150 euros. In the summer 2 times a week for several hours fishing. Always properly maintained according to their regulations. Fished with light lead cups. He would say a lot, but he would have been prepared for that. After 3-4 months of use, it runs rather badly. Conclusion of Shimano: "this mill is heavily fished" no guarantee. Only offer a refurbished to buy for 80 euros (!). My conclusion: this mill is of poor quality and I am entitled to service. The old stradic fg of mn vismaat has been running for 10 seasons as a sun .... for me no more Shimano.
