Rates expensive if you live in a rural area with no town water, no rubbish collection, no recycling, no sewerage, and no streetlights. At least we have a library - no wait, that's just closed. However, to be fair the 24 hour service number works and in my experience safety issues are attended to promptly and with follow up.

Appauling Service. Given the amount of money spent gaining Code of Compliance, the process is flawed. When the inspection was done, the inspector did not check off everything first to tell us what we needed instead it took 3 visits resulting in 3 times the fees. In addition to this we had emailed documentation yet it wasnt recorded resulting in the email being sent through 3 times over. This was a very frustrating experience & could be improved.
Thank you so much for your prompt resolution of the over-full doggy poo rubbish bins in North Waikanae. It seemed like just a half hour later or so someone was there doing the job. Thank you so much.
Any requests I have made on property and related issues with KCDC have always been answered promptly, efficiently and with friendly service.
Always quick to respond, very helpful and organised on every occasion (many) I have spoken to them over the past year.
