Not worth the money:

Not worth the money:
- No hot showers in the morning 2 mornings in a row
- cleaning service placed all our stuff at other places in the room so we had to search for everything
- lobby is Ok but not really a nice place to chill
- old-fashioned rooms
- no light at the ceiling, rooms remain bleak even if you turn on every light
- great location though
- hair dryer, iron and ironing board in every room

Nice hotel with decent amenities but the street noise is loud and the hallway was louder. Only one bar but it is a nice bar with a very good selection of beers and drinks. Excellent location in Times Square with easy access to everything in the area.

I was inaccurately charged twice for my stay at this hotel. 3 calls to customer service (not to mention, multiple reroutes to different departments) and 1 month of working to resolve this issue, and I still have not been reimbursed. Unfortunately, what was a positive stay has been tainted by incredibly negative customer service.

I stay here every year, but I swear the service gets worse each year. Maintenance seems overwhelmed as so many things need attention. Customer facing staff can be aloof to downright rude, certainly not helpful or even happy.

Pros:

Pros:

-great location
-great price
-great breakfast
-rooms are clean and tidy
-has a very big gym
-good transportation available
-good amenities
-beds are very comfortable and so are the pillowes
-good minibar variety and excellent fresh Starbucks coffee to brew with the in room coffee Brewer.

Cons:

-The hotel is super noisy cause of:

A) the lifts ring a bell once they arrive at any floor, if your room is near the lift it could potentially wake you up.
B) people shout in the corridors and don't mind the time at all, not a hotel's fault I know, however worth mentioning.
C) the hotel's location is fantastic but cause it's in the heart of the city, you'll hear all the traffic, the police sirens, the horns, the air conditioning units on the lower rooftops. It's easy to fall asleep if you're very tired. Not so easy if you're just going for a nap.

- I've had some waiters be a bit rude to us, for no specific reason.
- this hotel can be very crowded. 9 times out of 10 it's crowded. 6 out of 10 of those 9 out of 10 times it's overcrowded. Be prepared to queue a while for your check in, for the concierge and for checkout.

My conclusion is that this place is convenient however not relaxing for a prolonged stay. If you want to unwind I'd preferably go to someplace more quiet and less busy. New York is super busy, when you gotta get back and sleep, you don't wanna be waken up by a mega horn just outside the hotel or by these dumb bells the lifts play once they reach your floor. Just go somewhere a bit out of hand but still near Manhattan, use public transport or taxis to get to the center. But have the peace of mind at least 8 hours per day.

Bathroom is dated and smells. They charge a $25 Destination Fee that you can use it as credit for their restaurant but make sure you don't spend it at their bar plus they add service charge to the bill at the bar even we have only 2 person.

I have recently spent 3 days at the Sheraton Time Square. This was during the NYC marathon that I proudly participated at. The choice was taken as supposedly this hotel is close to the Park finish line (it isn t, actually 40 streets below) and potentially close to the bus to go to the starting line.

The Hotel was in poor conditions. Pretty outdated even for an old fashion Sheraton. The king room I was hosted at was dusty for 3 days. The personnel was not very helpful, gave different answer on some random extra charge on my card and it did cost - wait for it - $400 a night plus taxes. This is quite an amount even for the Marathon weekend. It is not near what you d get elsewhere. The food in the only restaurant downstairs is below average quality. The pasta for runner would have been better cooked at the local Applebee s.

It is not clear to me why exactly NYRR recommends this place, but I ensure you it is the worst you can get for that type of money. And shame on Sheraton to have such a terrible place in an iconic NYC location.

Decent big chain hotel on the northern edge of Times Square that might miss on the little things but excels on value and location.

Decided to make a weekend trip and see some great shows on Broadway. Got a great rate on this hotel from a website. Staff was fantastic on arrival, allowing us to check in early. Super close but not too close to Times Square. Also a few blocks from great bars and restaurants in Hells Kitchen.

Room was cozy but nice and clean. Water pressure was a touch lacking but still very hot.

We did seem some glasses that remained outside a room for the duration of our trip despite daily housecleaning. After hours security can be a little gruff. Otherwise this is a great spot to stay in

Great location between Time Square and Central Park. Easy walking distance to both. Good ambiance through the lobby, room was small but well furnished, lack of free Internet was very annoying.

I attended a conference here and stay here as well in 2016 and March 2017. While overall facilities was okay, the recent "upgrade" to elevators makes it utterly impossible for conferences. The newest system would allot everyone going to same floor to same elevators, but during conferences as everyone is going to same floor, it makes it impossible to get on any elevators. Average wait time is 10min for an open elevator, which really derails a conference that emphasize punctuality. In addition elevators had problems and would "sink". It was one of the most frustrating conference experiences I had.
Other than elevators stay was okay. Staff is polite and professional. Hotel was clean.

Nice hotel, clean, however only giving 2 stars inasmuch they automatically charge a destination fee of $25.00 per night, per person. Fyi...the hotel is not cheat already without additional fees, thus 2 stars.

It's so nice being here. Not because the place is nice. It's because of the people. The people are so courteous. I mean like everyone takes their time to explain things or they just talk to you, I mean they take their time and have a beautiful conversation with you. Thats awesome. Were you going to go and find that kind of service? I'm impressed.

The lobby was very crowded and the elevators were not very efficient. We were called over by a worker and lead to a service elevator with 8 other people. Room was decent but not great. Can't beat the location, and with that comes the crowds.

When we got there, all their systems were down and they couldn't give us the room keys till atleast half hour after we got there. Once we got there, we had blood stained towels to welcome us. It was disgusting and I am never coming back again.

The location of the hotel is great, but I'm honestly surprised by the poor quality of the rooms. I had expected far better from the Sheraton brand. The prices are good, the location is great, and snug rooms are to be expected for NYC, but there are tears in the room furniture, paint peeling off the walls, and the bedsheets feel like sandpaper. I honestly don't know how this hotel can claim to be 4 stars when they have such tattered rooms.

Our dance studio has attended many dance conventions and competitions at this hotel, and we have had great experiences. Like anything in New York, there are areas of the property that can become congested during well-attended events, but that's to be expected. Very close to great food, coffee, shopping, and attractions.

Terrible experience at this hotel. I am a Starwood Platinum member but had so much trouble at this hotel. They are very inflexible in terms of facilitating my change of schedule. Charged me three times for the same stay on my card (still not resolved because they asked me to try again calling Accounting during business hours), caused great confusion, and when I call the hotel (multiple times) regarding my requests (e.g. change my check-in date, email me receipt, cancel my stay, dispute duplicate charges), they showed impatience and impoliteness. I would not stay at this hotel again when I am in New York.

Good location but thats as good as it gets. Rooms dated and filthy so thank god we did not have to stay long. Bathroom disgustingly dirty (Cleaned it myself before i let my kids use the shower) . Rude staff on check in and it feels that if you are not a preferred guest then they dont care about you. We paid a lot of money as a family of 5 for 2 rooms and it was a disaster. Also paying for wifi at this day and age??? I also went to the computer room for a few mins to check work details and it cost me $15 to use a computer. Not even a complimentary blt of water in the room. Shame really

Elevators are slow and get backed up. There was no acknowledgement of my status. Our first room was a connecting room on the 50 th floor - it was very small, sparsely furnished, and the bathroom was in bad shape. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night when the adjacent room started smoking and the staff couldn't do anything about it. Overall, I give the hotel a "meh".
