Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel Review

It is a very nice hotel, but I've got to say; the internet is terrible. 3Mb/s down free or 6Mb/s down if you pay is laughable. Everything else was fantastic, I would give it 5 stars if it weren't an entire decade behind on the internet.

It was fine. The AC could have been a little stronger, but it worked well enough.

Recently remodeled (sort of). At first blush, this hotel looks newly renovated and very nice. However, for being fairly new they failed to update to modern conveniences. None of the rooms have power plugs anywhere close to where you actually need them. There are no power outlet features on fixtures, or usb charging capabilities. Did I mention no in room refrigeration? In 2016 it's unbelievable these features are not available.

I give this place NO STARS. I did not have a choice of hotel as I flew into Dallas for a convention with my company. I would have never chose this place to stay to begin with. When I arrived in my room, there was a roach that scampered its way through the bathroom and when I notified housekeeping they didnt seem to want to do anything about it or apologize. Sleeping in that bed was horrible. I woke up with bites on me. The room had a nasty smell.
Guest services were not any better. Every time I asked for something, they always got it wrong and when I needed housekeeping to clean the room, when I came to my room for the evening, it was not done. The buffet was dry and tasteless.
Now here's the real kicker. On my way home, I noticed that I had a charge on my card for 611.00. I of course called to find out what it was all about as I should have only been charged 245.00 I got a very nasty person on the phone. They say that There was huge smoke coming out of the room from cigarettes and they had to charge me 250.00!!! You have got to be kidding me. The smell that was in that room when I first got it was so horrible that I had to buy fabreze to try to get it out. Apparently they dont know the difference from fabreze vs Cigarette smoke. And Needless to say, 245.00 and 250.00 does not add up to 611.00. This hotel is a rip off. Be very careful.

Friendly staff, good location for business meeting/ conference.

I went to a church event hosted at the Sheraton. The ball room is very spacious and of good appeal. I stayed there 2 nights and the service was exceptional. Great hotel over all I will use them again in the future.

We were held over night after missing a connecting flight- the hotel staff were wonderful and super friendly.

as i write this review, I am staying at a hotel that charges about $100/night. The internet is wireless and free (and very fast). The TV has over 100 channels... all in digital quality. But to add insult, the "grand" sheraton which charges for in room internet, is not even wireless. They tether you to a desk! oh oh.... and even worse, if you pay for the internet in your room.... the 24 hour pass will not work in the convention area! They say "that is a different company". Whatever! I had to stay in the hotel for 3 days. Their cable channels often had noise and buzz. The internet OBVIOUSLY slowed down during peak time to nearly unusable. AND THEY CHARGE FOR IT. Why is it that a $100/night hotel has so many free amenities.... and hotels like "the grand shereton" charge you for everything... AND THEN... what they juts charged you for .... is SUB PAR. IF you have to stay at this hotel, make it clear to the manager that they need to catch up with the rest of the hotel industry!

Work conference, it was nice. Conference room was good, served good food after.

I went there to check out they ballroom. It was nice, but not over the top for the quote I received. The plus was that you get free bridal suite.

Mediocre and expensive. Much better options nearby.

Fantastic! Stayed the weekend to attend the fair (OU/Texas Weekend). With the free shuttle to the DFW Airport Dart rail it was super simple.

Stayed on 12th floor and AC barely works. Way too hot! Rooms ok otherwise.

The room was very nice and had small loveseat. The linens were also extremely fresh and clean. Bar staff friendly and attentive. The drinks were also very good.

Had some room issues. Couple things not working. Mostly good. Like the safest in the rooms.

Airport shuttle may take 25 to 30 mins to pickup passengers. Restaurant closes at 10 p.m.

Good hotel, staff are very customer focused. Really annoying elevators with really annoying card readers for the club floor. Really annoying elevators!

Went for an event, bathrooms were very clean but ballroom was incredibly cold doing the conference.

Asked for a room with a pull out couch. Took a few tries but they finally got us one. Beds were not comfortable, but everything was clean.

Breakfast bar was good, clean, easy access to other placescin the city, shuttle was a great service, hospitality was good.

Decent overnight/airport hotel but nothing amazing. Expect dated rooms and florescent lighting throughout.

Very good transport service airport-hotel and hotel-airport

Everything looks modern and updated but nothing works. I wanted to go for a 6am swim, I asked if there was surveillance cameras for safety purposes, I was informed that they are being worked on. Not safe enough to be out that early alone. The touchscreen directory doesn't work. Very disappointed.

The rooms here are very nice and the staff is nothing but professional. I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and never had a bad experience

Used this hotel for parking my car and getting transportation to the airport. Their website says they offer shuttle service on demand but upon arriving we were told it was only every top of the hour. We couldn't wait an hour or we would miss our flight so we had to uber to the airport. When we returned from our trip we tried to get a return ride but could never get through to anyone to pick us up. Once again we had to uber back to our car. Do not use this hotel for parking for the airport. WORSE EXPERIENCE!!!

The hotel is close to the airport and to many local attractions. The room is clean and the staff are friendly. The restaurant serves good choices. On the downside, I tried the breakfast buffet shortly after they opened and the food was cold.

During a convention, there is almost no parking. There were extremely LONG lines for the elevators. $10 for a dry sandwich, a bag of chips and a fruit. You don't get to pick the fruit or chips you want, only Turkey or Ham on the sandwich. My niece is allergic to citric acid and they gave her an orange in her meal. We didn't know until we were at our table and opened them. Best to either bring food or just get a pizza delivered. They did have lots of cold water at multiple stations around the convention. They also put the Karaoke room next to another room that was having meeting. They came over and shut it down, because it was too loud. Not the convention's fault the hotel planned it wrong. Karaoke was VERY popular.

Rooms were good in size very clean comfortable beds but no commonal breakfast for the price of the stay is ridiculously stupid

I've been going to this hotel for 3 years now. I attend a Latina socials once a year and every year is great. Staff are friendly, beds are conformable and the bathroom have locks.

Fast TSA check, lots of options for food and clean restrooms.

Had an event at the Grand Ballroom. Bartenders were novice and the food was so-so.

It is conveniently located near the airport (DFW) and 20 min away from Love Field. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was as a good size and clean. However, there was a paucity of power outlets. They only had a few scattered throughout the room that were inconveniently located, used by an appliance, or didn't work.

I was impressed by this hotel from the second I walked in. They went above and beyond right from check in. As a breastfeeding mom, they met all the needs I required during my stay. London was so polite and helpful. I will enjoy my stay and would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel. Great rooms. Nice staff (mostly), had a good price as part of a special.
PROS: Close to airport, walking distance to Denny's, Restaurant in house, great Ballrooms, nice bar area and sitting area, stop on the route by a Sight-seeing bus tour that offers $5 all day transport along a fixed route going to Main street area. Rooms are clean and roomy and up to date. Beds are pretty comfy (pillows a bit small). Had a great staff person provide an unscheduled courtesy ride after another staff person provided some wrong information.
CONS: no bad experience at this location.
I will definitely be back next time. Easy location to catch a Lyft/Uber to go into town as well.

The bed and linens are nice with a large TV. This is not worth the fact that one out of three elevators are working. The line to get on the elevator is about 10 to 25 people deep at all times of the day. The stairs can only be used down to the 3rd floor and then they are locked. I feel like this was a fire hazard. The Tango Whiskey restaurant had one person working. Therefore the line just to order food or a drink was at least 15 people at any time. I would prefer to never stay here again.

My flight was canceled due to weather issues so spent a night here. Check in was smooth and the lobby was bustling with people on a Saturday afternoon. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm but I arrived at 1pm and they gave me a room! How cool? Thought I had to wait till 3pm.....luck I guess. Elevators right in front of check in desk. Clean room, nice bathroom. Complimentary water bottle, tea, and Starbucks coffee in room. Free shuttle ro airport. This was a nice hotel, would stay here again!!

Very big and nice place. Enjoyed a great dinner.

We had one bed for three people, then be they put us in a room with double beds. We had to ask over and over for coffee for the room. The maid said she was only allowed to leave two per room, (there were three of us). They brought us an old fridge, when we requested one. I felt unwelcome.

Nice, clean and spacious. Appreciate the free water bottle and the hygienic goods, however, the room I booked lacked a fridge.

You REALLY need to watch your credit card statements if you stay here!! I thought I was the only one. Apparently not. Supposed to have a $50 hold on my card for incidentals and got to my room and find $102. Really? I'm afraid to touch anything in the rooms for being afraid of a erroneous charge. I had no choice in the hotel my company set it up. Upon arrival the reservation was screws up. I waited 45 minutes in the lobby waiting to get a room. I will refuse to return to DFW for work if I have to stay here. Please do yourself a favor and check your credit statement very close often. Or even better steer clear of this hotel. There are many others in the area. Also note no affordable restaurants within walking distance.

Great room service. Free bathrobes and slippers offered. Also available was infant crib and high chair. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Outdoor pool and fitness center. Had a wonderful experience, extremely relaxing.

I was surprised at how much I liked the place... Normally Sheratons have worn out carpets and outdated decor.

The HVAC system was loud though.

I am not exaggerating when I stay that the hotel was filthy, espcially in the time of COVID clean should be done regularly. To start off they gave me an unclean room: there was food from the previous guest on the table and bed, used towels on the floor, and used bedspreads. Second, the ENTIRE floor had trash all along the hallway. I asked what was their cleaning procress was and the connoisseur said they deep clean one floor at a time and keep some floors as unused. So they assigned me to a dirt floor and I asked to be sent to a clean floor, they refused. I asked if the sheet and towels were removed after every guest even if they didn't looked used. The connoisseur dodged the question, it's a simply yes or no, and they wouldn't answer. When I arrived there were 3 police vehicles up front. The Sheraton is unsafe and unclean. I wouldn't trust coming here and would have never but American Airlines put me here when my flights were delayed and was forced to stay in Dallas overnight. This is the worst hotel experience I ever had and completely unacceptable during COVID. It's disgusting the conditions they keep their hotel. Stay away for your own safety.
