Went for work. Rooms are comfortable. The one tiny elevator is really weird. It's very easy to walk to dinner.
Dated facility and inconsistent staff service especially in the restaurant. And be ready to endure CNN 24/7.
Great hotel in the heart of Cambridge, right next to Harvard. It's quaint, cute, and the rooms are stellar and well lit. A nice little slice of history, perfect for those really pushing for that authentic Cambridge experience.
Queen rooms are cramped and you can hear neighbors through the walls and floors, but there is a nice charm to the furnishings and building, overall.
Our stay was a quintessential Harvard Square experience. The staff were courteous, the hotel lobby is simple but elegant, and our room was lovely. I've read reviews complaining of small, awkwardly-shaped rooms, but our room was a standard layout and not terribly small for an urban hotel. The location is excellent. The fitness room is well equipped and spacious. The only drawback was plastic drinking cups instead of real glasses - surprising for such a traditionally grand hotel.
The staff here are wonderful. They helped us when there was a problem with our payment. They were very attentive and kind. The beds here are amazing. Best sleep I've gotten in a while. If I were to ding it for anything the water pressure was not great. In my experience that is normal for hotels though.
Front desk was helpful, room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious
Great hotel. Quaint, clean and I must say...the most comfortable bed after a long day.
I was at the Sheraton for a formal dance. It's in a very convenient location close to Harvard Square and the facilities are beautiful and spacious!
The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were clean. My room didnt have a refrigerator unfortunately.
We went to Nubar at the hotel for a holiday function and had a wonderful time. The food and drinks in the lounge were great and the staff was very friendly!
Amazing location! Nice rooms. On site parking is $31 per day.
The rooms were beautiful and the service was exactly what it should be.
Excellent Service, Staff, Hospitality, Very Clean, Covid19 Obliging Rules In Place, All Around Safe, Clean & Memorable!
I was there for my work holiday party. It was great!
Nice ballrooms, although not enough space for a career event that hosts universities in the area
I was only in the Washington Ballroom and the restaurant, but everything looked gorgeous
I have attended multiple events in the restaurant and the events rooms. Each time has felt very fancy, with professional wait staff and high quality place settings. The food is good, and the bar is not overly expensive, especially compared to the rest of the area.
Excellent food and service. Facilities clean and well kept.
Love the old building being repurposed and the staff was very nice
I enjoyed the breakfast at the Nubar restaurant, the sausages were excellent and I had to consciously stop myself from going back for another apple turnover.
The location and general.hotel features are great. However the WiFi is super terrible. I'm disappointed they haven't upgraded to a bandwidth that can support general internet browsing VPNing and the like. Tempted to say 3 stars with how slow it is
Pretty nice Great place to have professional events.
You'll need a ladder to get on the bed... and I'm average height
Great location. Great room. Odd lobby and elevators.
My favorite hotel in Cambridge. Great location (less than 10 minute walk to nearest T stop) right by Harvard Square, so you're far enough away from noisy parts of the Boston/Cambridge but still right outside exciting areas.
Older hotel with nice large rooms, great location, nice club lounge, great staff!
The hotel is very close to Harvard University and it is an 8-minute walk to Harvard Square. It is a convenient location. The building is old but the place is generally very well kept. The staff is invariably very courteous and helpful. We had a 2-double--bed room, which is small but adequate for us. The air conditioner is old style although a modern thermostat has been installed to control the temperature. The air is too powerful near the air fins. The elevators are interestingly small but practical for the days we were there when the occupancy rate seemed low.
The price is reasonable so we will probably stay there again in future.
Nice rooms, polite staff, walking distance to Harvard. A little pricy though.
Great place to accompany the son in the marriage !!
Great hotel great location, however rooms are not ready as advertised which is 3pm check in, could not find bags when we came back that we left with them since the room wasn't ready. Cleaning staff knocking on the door trying to get us out at 11 am when check out is at noon. Just felt like they can not flip rooms very well late in early out thanks for staying don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
I loved being so close to Harvard and next to the Charles River path to go out for morning runs. I wish they offered a light complimentary breakfast option. The sink was leaking onto the floor when we first arrived. I called the front desk at 10 PM and she sent maintenance up to fix it right away. The hotel felt quite dated, especially the elevators. But overall it was a pleasant experience.
Dined at Nubar restaurant in the hotel. Wait staff were very polite and professional. There were two main areas, one for dining and another with smaller tables to drink and chat. Would recommend. Entrees are between $20-30
Cool hotel. Friends stayed here after they got married.
Vending machine on my floor was out of order. Other than that, pleasant stay so far.
Classy hotel. Good service. Rooms are not large but are comfortable. Staff is very good. Has a lounge for elite guests. Nice location. Convenient but not loud and crowded.
Great location - okay rooms. Breakfast buffet is expensive.
Great accommodations; I would highly recommend this hotel.
Parked in the lot and they let my kid use the toilet A++
Really accommodating staff and clean rooms. The beds were really soft, and when I lost something, they looked for it and found it.
Excellent location right next to Harvard. Has kept the integrity of the building. But, it is an older building, so there are no modern amenities. Nothing "wow" about the place other than the location.
Ants crawling on bathroom floor. Not very amenities for the price.
Really excellent property. It has top sheets on the bed (unlikely other nearby Starwood options) and the air conditioner works really well. The beds are comfortable. Chicken sandwich at the restaurant was very good too.
Friendly staff, will appointed rooms. Would stay again.
Used the parking here. Very close walk to Harvard but a bit price
Were awesome to us, asked them if they could pop the popcorn we brought and they happily obliged without any expectations in return
My Canada Goose winter jacket was stolen from the hotels coat room. I requested to move it into the auditorium where my event was being held but hotel management assured me the coat room was "being watched" and refused my request to move it.
Fast forward an hour later and my coat is gone and they claim there's no way to view the security cam footage and ask me to leave my name and number and they'll get back to me.
Shady management!!! Steer clear of this place!
We visited for the weekend as my husband had a class a Harvard. We had a Junior Suite that included access to the lounge.
The staff was very nice and extremely accommodating. I came down with the flu and was allowed to check out later at no charge as I was truly too sick to go out.
The hotel itself is quiet and very comfortable.
This was our second stay. We will be back when my husband has another on campus weekend requirement.
Recently stayed here one night for work. The staff is friendly and very professional. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. Not huge but well appointed and very comfortable. The location is great and easy walking distance for Harvard and Cambridge sights. I would definitely stay here again.
Amazing! Basically picked this out due to Hilton decided not to care over by the airport! Booked the presidential suite! Amazing!! Only down fall was the bathroom had a weird odor! Also when filling up the bath tub it was a yellow color and than a yellow ring appeared around the tub. Other than that amazing view! Wonderful customer from the staff! Parking was easy! Very clean outside, lobby and the room. Besides the tub.
Excellent all around everything you do the staff is also extremely helpful and nice. I loved it.
Boutique hotel feel in a convenient location. Worth upgrading to the lounge- excellent food and service.
Clean hotel. Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Great fitness center. Helpful and friendly staff.
Ballroom layout in 2 separate floors, audio system is not appropriate for the space
Good comfortable accommodations, conveniently close to Harvard Square. Reasonable rates and the restaurant's food (breakfast anyway as that's all we've eaten there) is decent. Rooms are not huge but plenty adequate for intended use. Service has always been impeccable when needed.
Zero star. The first time I really felt discrimination in the United State is with this hotel. My airplane to Boston supposed to arrive about 10pm, but was delayed about 8 hours, when I arrived the hotel at early morning, they already sold my rooms for the first night to others! I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and paid deposit to lock the rooms. They ask me to come back after 1pm to check in for the send night, but still gonna charge me for 2 nights or I can cancel the reservation but they will charge me anyway. The front desk is sooo rude. Asians, please do not book this hotel!
Overall a nice hotel convenient to Cambridge and Harvard. The rooms are a bit dark and small, however. Additionally the Internet access is extremely slow.
The hotel is amazing, and well placed within Cambridge. The conference rooms where I had meetings however were a little small for large meetings
