sheraton broadway plantation Review

Came here to visit a friend. Gated community has a great first impression. The suite looks like a motel from the early 80s. I don't understand how they can charge the amount they do for what you get. I wouldn't book here. There's plenty of better places to stay, like the Barefoot resort.

The property is close to food and entertainment. The pricing was pretty good for a family of 5 in December as well. It's easy to get help when needed. It's good that the dishes were clean, as many places have filthy ones in their condos/villas. There's no daily cleaning that I know of but you are given free detergent that is fragrance free along with dish detergent. There is mini golf on the property, tennis, and a pool as well.

Things were a little dusty, but other than that everything was great!

Nice room with a fountain view. Close to Broadway at the beach. Definitely worth it.

Terrible customer service. Room was dirty. Staff walked into our unit without knocking. And they complained when I was in handicap spot even though I displayed my placque.

Great rooks but the cleaning service didn't do a great job there was dirt under the couch and left over food under the futon

It was a very nice, clean room. Located just a couple minutes away from broadway on the beach. The only downside was having to wait to get in our room for 2 hours past the main check in time.

We love it there! Steer clear of any Timeshare people! The resort is great! The employees at the resort are awesome! Love Jenny H. at the front desk and Tori and Mel in activities!

Very beautiful resort. Rooms are very nice. All pools are heated. Very great experience.

First of all the location is great, there were some issues but it was fixed, rooms are great which there is a kitchen, master bedroom, living room it differs for each area, however the housekeeping is bad, they were supposed to replace the garbage but they didn't and the towels as well. Besides the services my family enjoyed our stay here at the Sheraton

I love this place. This is my second visit. Pools heated even during cold weather. I wished they had eating establishments on site. You can do food delivery.

Beautiful resort. Kids loved the pools and water slides!

Cleaning staff needs to pay attention to details. Mold on shower curtain, stains on carpet, crumbs under couch. Rest of the resort was very nice.

Great location, clean room, but little behind on services. There was a dead cockroach outside, near the entrance of the room. Staff were nice, but there is no daily room service, we have to clean and make our own bed.

I don't have the time to tell you how great this place is. I will be back and I had a wonderfully time vacationing there. Nothing bad to say at all about this resort.

I like it a lot better since Marriott acquired them, they have several available on site amenities that are free. It is good for kids, not overly nice for a purely adult group though as there are always lots of kids around.

We stay here every time we visit MB. They offer many activities and have a very fun little water park for smaller kids.

Location was great however the room needed a good cleaning. Seems they don't actually clean your room while staying here. You are lucky to get clean towels and your trash taken out. I didnt like having to repeatedly ask for services that should have been done.This was our first time here and our last!

In this day and age the Sheritan should be going above and beyond.
As a member I would stay elsewhere if visiting Myrtle Beach. And to me as a member thats sad to say.

Rooms are okay - not quite as spectacular as they once were years ago. Poolside prices are absolutely outrageous, even if you factor in the "convienance fee"...almost $8 for frozen grapes is steep, let along a $8.50 V8 Fusion Smoothie (yes the juice from the bottle). The staff was calculatingly accommodating. Not genuine and definitely dismissive to the point where you could tell that they found the line between providing customer service and not losing their jobs. It's not their fault but it is easy to point fingers at management. The SPG (Starwood preferred guests) chain of reseots that was previously owned by Sheraton has very recently changed hands. I'm not saying that these aforementioned issues is due to that one factor - it was extremely busy while we were here - but we have been here during times just as busy and had a better experience. This is no reason to avoid this location - just insightful feedback.

Great resort for families. Pool area is fantastic, complete with lazy river and water park for all ages. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and more importantly, affordability of the family activities and crafts. Some amenities are on hold due to COVID-19, but it seems they've really done all they can to keep as much open as possible. Great location, always enjoy it.

Only stayed a night bit very nice. Will definitely come back for a longer stay with the whole family.

I've got nothing bad to say about my visit. Just returned from a one week stay there with my daughter. Room was more than adequate, clean and other than the resident geese, no one bothered us. We had an issue with our in room dvd player and it was addressed within minutes. The staff were friendly and attentive. No complaints at all.

Clean fairly quiet. We hear the kids upstairs in the morning but that was about it.

Here because of the flooding and my truck was broken in. Went to the office and reported it. They was very unhelpful and rude. Never again.

Room was nice but we didnt get the two double bed with pull out couch that we paid for. They shorted us a bed. We are 4 guys there for bike week. We asked for two extra blankets and were denied. Front desk that night was not very hospitable. No sheets on the fold out . Amenities were nice. If you gave us an extra blanket, that I'm sure wouldn't have broken your nights budget, then I guess your rating would have been better. Then they sent the security guard to ask how many people were staying there. 4 people 4 blankets. I dont think that was too much to ask for.

Pool is very child oriented. 3 feet deep everywhere and there is 3 pools. The arcade is lacking and the ping pong table is right next to the pool. But the rooms are very nice

Found this at the last minute- JACKPOT! 3 people- one King and a pullout. We had a kitchen, nice bathroom, and small screened in porch. Super friendly staff, as soon as we called needing anything, 2 to 5 minutes later someone was at our doorstep ready to help! While we don't like timeshares, we were offered to go to a "presentation" twice: once by telephone, once in person. They weren't pushy at all, perfectly kind when we politely declined. The geese were nesting and a bit aggressive, but the staff can't really help that. Nice pool area, LOVE the activity options. I wish the exercise room was twice to three times the size it is, because it gets a little cramped. DONT DO A TIMESHARE- but stay here as a hotel/resort!!

We have flextime there was going to met out son for his birthday. But it poured so hard no one wanted to travel. We were all cozy in our condo. Good walking and biking grounds. Close to beach.

Its like being at an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean without the free alcohol. Loved it!

Staff and lifeguards were grate room was nice . The out side of the blds could use a little work

We come here every couple of years usually in the off season. People are friendly villas are good size. Some are newer than others, ask for a newer on if possible.

Furniture is starting to show wear and could be replaced. It was the first week of December and very slow.

We moved to this place after spending 3 horrible nights at The Patricia Grand and I must say, my only regret is not staying here in the 1st place!
On my birthday (3/28) the weather was gorgeous! There is SO MUCH TO DO on the grounds that it is ridiculous!
Since we were there in Easter I was kind of worried about my daughter missing Easter festivities. They actually had Easter activities all day long including a huge Easter egg hunt!
Every single day they have a list of activities to choose from not including the pools, hot tubs, lazy river, huge basketball court, volleyball court, miniature golf, etc.
It was awesome!!!!
It's in close proximity of Broadway at the Beach (2 min away) and Walmart and the beach are right around the corner! Whenever we go back I promise we will be staying here!

Friendly staff, lots of amenities, the lazy river is a particular favourite of our family. A nice place to go for family vacations. The full kitchen allows you to choose to stay in and cook or go out to eat. The washer & dryer in the unit is another plus.

Worst Week of our lives. Stayed in Building 8, rm 811 and 814. The rooms were loaded with Cock Roach's and other bugs. The units smelled like MUST the entire time from the Air Cond. and there was a HEAVY odor of Natural Gas. The management ignored our complaints.

OMG!!! This place was incredible. Highly hospitable, beautiful views, and SO MUCH to do!!!

I have been an owner of this time share since the first piece of piping was being installed. The first time I saw the location it was just a small clearing with the pipe sticking out of the ground. I really enjoy going every other year and it seems to get better with each and every time. I am glad that I invested in it.

The housekeeping is certainly not up to the Marriott standard I am used to. The bedding was dingy, mold looking in the down alternative comforter. Large Xs written in permanent marker on the comforter , as if they were marked to be thrown away! Had to make 3 requests for the linens to be changed because they couldnt figure out what was wrong with them... hmmmm... . Also, the water went out in our building where we couldnt shower before a conference. Rather than offering to put us in another room they suggested we shower by the pool.... ok we tried that and it was sketchy and not accomodating for a party of 4 women to get ready with one small shower with no where to put our clean clothes or to dress without being seen by people at the pool. So we had to beg for another room. Which shouldve been offered first! The beds were never made neatly each day. The new towels were not put away each day and the trash was not completely emptied. <br/>Customers satisfaction is not a priority here and as an platinum marriott
member, i would never recommend this place to anyone.

We got there the first day and checked everything thing out in the room and unpacked bags and relaxed and enjoyed our vacation. Went to bed and woke up and found a bed bug in the bed. It's a good thing that all the sheets are white. It was a time share.

Clean rooms. Well maintained, but the staff needs to do better on keeping schedules. Due to Covid-19, fitness center times must be scheduled. When we arrived on time, we were told that we did not have a slot, even though we booked it the day before. So after walking up to the building, we were turned away. What happened? Also, the bed was horrible. Uncomfortable and short-sheeted. The head of the mattress was lower than the foot of the mattress. Had to rotate the mattress to make the bed a bit more comfortable and not feel as though we were sinking.

Very nice villas pool, massages, shuffleboard, basketball, Riverwalk pool, beach bar. Not far from Boardwalk at the Beach on Robt Grissom Pkwy.

Amazing stay that is surrounded by awesome attractions. Rooms are clean, not loud, and within short drice of all Myrtle Beach attractions.

Nice location, just didn't get to stay entire visit due to hurricane Matthew.

Great place to kick back, enjoy the heated indoor pool and the outdoor hot tub. Staff super friendly and helpful. Quiet location, accommodations clean and updated.

The staff so far has been great. The room is quite satisfactory. We still have several more days to look forward to and we will add additional comments as needed.

Location was very nice and clean. There is security at the gate to enter the property which is nice to keep out the rif raf. Check in and out was very simple. Will definitely stay with them again.

Super nice accommodations. More of a resort feel because they have mini golf, kiddie pools, wet bar...very nice. We will definitely be back.

this resort is spotless and has tons of things to do. there's a miniature mini golf course, there's a lazy river, a pool, and a mini water park for the kids. there's this cute little bar on the pool and it has great appetizers and great smoothies. this resort is placed perfectly, it's only a little over a mile away from the beach, and close to everything else as well. the rooms are perfect, i would live there honestly. the beds are so comfortable, the kitchen is perfectly sized and the living room is perfect too. it even has a cute little deck. you can't hear through the walls either so there's some good privacy.
GO! GO! GO! seriously, you can't have a bad time here, and there is so much to do in myrtle beach as well.

We were sold on doing a presentation at their preview center and getting Wonder Works passes for the family. When getting there we were told we couldn t do it without a Major Credit Card, and we could not use our bank debit even though it has VISA on it. We had already used the passes and were basically forced to pay the full price for the tickets. I left some voice messages for the GM and he had someone else call me back. That person said if I come back next year with a credit card he would take care of me. I shared I will 100% not have a credit card next year and will never have one. Terrible policy to have for the presentations, anywhere that accepts credit cards also accepts Debit Cards with VISA logo. Except for this Sheraton. Terrible policy to have!!!

Amazing place to stay for vacation. We stayed in a 2 br Villa and it was huge and was perfect for my family of 5. I would give the place 5 stars but the walls are paper thin and the people or elephants above us were very annoying. Everyone is very nice at the resort and the pictures looks just like the resort. All in all it was a great vacation and as usual Sheraton always knocks it out of the park. Also the location is perfect

We are owners and this has been the worst experience ever. Rooms very dirty, no toiletries. The two pools were closed and the ones that were open were not heated for most of the trip. They changed the opening day for the snack shack so we didn t have that as well. It seems to be worth the trip for those who get to rent the rooms and not pay the owners maintenance fees. Lucky you!!!!
