Sheraton Review

I don't understand how they are still in business being across the street from the Marriot. I have had better experiences at the Red Roof Inn! Very outdated, we had an old box TV in our room and the rest of the room was pretty dark and gloomy even with all of the lights on and there was nothing special about it.. When you reserve the club room and lounge make sure you re getting the club room and not just access to the lounge. The staff was very uninformed and misleading, we were told that our room came with free continental breakfast and when we asked the front desk were to go they sent us to the restaurant on the fourth floor who then informed us that it ended an hour prior and was on the twelfth floor. One of the employees told us that the hot tub has been out of service for over three years, the steam room in the ladies locker room wasn't working and the sauna is unbearable. I would recommend booking through Travelocity or another site other than their own their policies on the site apparently no longer apply and the prepaid rate is not really prepaid... They took the money out of my account when I booked and then told me that the payment never went through and I wasn t notified until two months later at check in. Parking and internet are overpriced as well as the restaurant. Overall I was not satisfied and will never stay there again, worst weekend of our lives! I will spend a little extra and stay at the Marriot!

It looks like a beautiful hotel but I didn't get to spend too much time there.

Parked there. The parking garage was supposed to be $18 for the day. When I left the machine said "card cannot be read." And charged me $27 for some reason. It was finalized before I could do anything.

I was here for a conference. Parking was extremely expensive but otherwise the hotel seemed very nice.

Clean and freindly. My room was facing the highway. Didn't sleep well from highway noise!
Excellent service though. The staff is fantastic.

Very nice rooms and staff. It s a very old building with older decor but set up well. The bathrooms and rooms are newer. Marriot will update it soon. Close to downtown, MGM, river and local attractions.

Visited for APIC conference. Nice accommodations and the food they provided was very good.

The layout of the hotel inside is very unique and pretty, the rooms were clean but they had no fringe. The service was amazing. We had a large work event and the indoor restaurant/ bar stayed later than their usual closing time to accommodate us. Overall a great experience!

Spacious rooms. Very comfortable beds. Friendly staff.

Would not recommend. Just attended a dance event with my daughter today, and had my parking validated to leave. We were told parking would cover a fixed charge, which was equal to the cost of my time in the garage. Upon leaving, the parking attendants demanded $7... saying things like "Look, pay me cash and I'll allow you to leave." Their tone was aggressive and rude, as if they had the right to detain us. They even told me they couldnt accept my Mastercard because it wasnt a real Mastercard, demanding more cash or another payment method.

My wife had a similar card from our bank, which she handed the man, he argued with us that it wouldn't work because it wasnt real either. One of the men continued to put his hands in my car, violating our personal space, as if to grab another form of payment I wasnt ready to provide. I still dont know why I was charged, or even for how much. This was an unsettling way to end an otherwise great day. It soiled the whole experience.

Her card worked fine, by the way. We were "allowed to leave" after that. Good riddance.

The facilities were great, but I hope to never return, and I hope the dance group never has this hotel as a host again. We were essentially harassed by the parking staff after a long day. I'll be mentioning it to our dance group, hopefully we find somewhere else to host us going forward.

It was a fun room and nice pool. Pretty much what you'd expect

I travel a great deal. One thing I expect at any hotel is that when I'm in my room its quiet. I understand that sometimes people walk through the halls and talk. I'm used to this. However, when you can hear entire conversations four floors down or screaming kids from the ballroom area three floors down, in your room, that is unacceptable. The open atrium design of this hotel funnels all of the sound up to every floor and every room. I've been to other hotels that have an open design like this with out nearly this much noise coming into the guest rooms.
If you want a quiet night's sleep don't stay Sheraton Springfield.

Went their for a training. It had comfy chairs and nice conference rooms.

I deliver food there all the time it looks clean the staff is courteous as far as I know the prices are adequate compared to other hotels that are comprable

Have stayed there many times and never have had a bad experience. Pub is small but great place to hang.

It was great and the staff were very warm and willing to help

The hotel is nice. Good full size gym The surroundings are sketchy at best. I walked around to get a bite to eat and was not impressed and often worried about the people that were around me. I was soliceted for $ several times. Very run down neighborhoods next to the hotel. Hope you have a better experience than me.

Had drinks with friends at the restaurant they have their the Services great to price was okay the drinks or very strong I was happy

Beautiful hotel, friendly and courteous staff, top of the line linens, uber comfy pillows and a fantastic view. I can't complain.

This is a great Sheraton set up for large events. The only downside is the lack of free parking.

The Sheraton has a hotel gym with a sauna and the spa place is actually quite nice for a hotel gym

Amazing staff. Great room! Overall... Very friendly and welcoming. Some really good places to eat within a 15 min walking radius.

Found the bar and meeting very nice and accommodating.

I attended for a Bar Association event. The conference room was well furnished, the waitstaff was friendly and professional, and the food was delicious.

We are staying for the 20th annual fatherhood conference. Beautiful view, most unique architecture. Overall a wonderful stay.

Ok place to stay. Rooms need upgraded unless you are elite status. The club lounge is a little outdated and food is not worth it.

I stay here for business and am Marriott Platinum Elite. Half the lights and fixtures in the suite didnt work and the wallpaper is bubbling off the wall. Every time the climate control never works and they had to bring up a fan because i was told they shut off the chiller to save money. If its any type of normal temp outside it will be 75 in your room. Pretty inexcusable for a Sheraton.

Not much to do around the hotel, parking was confusing, room was clean enough, don't bother with the food from either restaurant. Side note, one of the last parts of my experience was that as I was trying to enter the club lounge for some coffee the morning I was checking out...(3 hrs before the actual check out time) the housekeeper called out to me from down the hall multiple times asking what time I was planning on leaving. I do not recommend this hotel.

Solid hotel, friendly staff. Convenient parking. Good for a conference.

Great rooms, good food, adequate bar, fine view. Harley Davidson in the lobby. Seriously cool place to stay.

Asked for a second luggage rack three times after I was told by the Bell hop to call the desk. waited 45 min. Then went to get it myself. Poor service.

Wonderful accommodations as my chorus hosted a Regional Contest. I arrived early and my room wasn't ready but Jamella at the front desk understood my predicament as I needed to work and contacted her manager who approved her switching my room and accommodating me immediately. The updated rooms this year were lovely and my bed super comfortable. Our buffet dinner at the Sheraton was surprisingly delicious as was the service for the Harmony on the Sound chorus. Thank you for your support in letting us host a fantastic contest! We can't wait to return!

The room was in good shape. There was an issue with my billing but it was resolved. The interior was beautiful.

Outside noise was crazy. While not the hotel's fault, did not make for a good experience. Knew there was going to be a problem when we got to the room and there were complimentary ear plugs already in the room.

Great location. Good staff. Dated and Noisy rooms (along the highway).

I did not actually stay here I was attending a graduation across the street but visited the bar and restaurant afterwards and it was great, the food and drinks were great and the place was nice and clean.

The dinning hall was beautiful and the catering service was amazing and polite

Stayed two-three times. Got room #401 entitled to have breakfast at 12 fl club area. When i entered it, a lady who worked there shouted "Room number??!" I said "excuse me?" Hoped she will ask more polite way. Not really, nothing close to came out of her second time, same "Room number?!"
Is this okay for Shetaton?

No complaints. Really like the MVP bar and the rooms are super nice too. Right across the street inside the Marriot is a CVS and a Dunkin Donuts

My only bone of contention is that they have reusable glasses for water, but not for the coffee maker. Seems out of character for branding sponsored by Starbucks. Otherwise, it's great.

Stayed here for one night - this place is fancy! Clean rooms, good food at The Picks diner, and a pleasant atmosphere.

GPS can't find it. Hotel bathroom could use some cleaning, there was no mini fridge in our room and when we needed a cold drink we went to the vending machine to pay $3 for a sprite that didn't end up working. Fire alarm went off during our stay. Overall it could have been a lot better

Beautiful hotel...banquet food not great. Burgers way undercooked, ran out of food on multiple occassions, late start to eat. Staff was friendly.

Very nice and new. Close to the Springfield MGM so you can walk. Terrific staff. Upgraded our room for 10 anniversary. You may want to stay here instead of the casino.
