It took me too long to make the decision to have my bunion removed. It became very large and unsightly. People were commenting on my foot often asking "does it hurt". I did my research on Dr.S. Nadal and liked what I saw. In less than a year (8months) I was back to all of my regular activities including yoga and living pain free. I can wear any shoes I choose now and show my feet off all the time. Dr. Nadal did an amazing job on my foot. I would recommend this surgery to anyone who would like to have 'happy feet' again.

I had my bunion operation 17 years ago and have had no pain, no return of bunion on the operated foot and no growth of bunion on the other foot. I always wear my orthotic. Recently my 17 year old orthotic cracked so I had to return for a replacement. I heartily recommend Dr Nadal - both for surgery and for orthotics.

Finally helping my aching feet.

I had bunion surgery a few years ago and love my happy, pretty "new" foot. No more aching or uncomfortable shoes. Dr. Nadal and his team did a great job on both the operation and follow-up to minimize any pain and to maximize a successful recovery. I plan on having them do my other foot when the time comes... and it will.

Well it has been 10 days now since my 3rd surgery with Dr. Nadal and I am so happy with the results to date. I have had very little discomfort and my foot seems to be healing fine. The sutures were removed today! Dr. Nadal performed 2 bunion surgeries on my feet five years ago and they were such a success that I decided to have metatarsal surgery to alleviate pain in the ball of my foot. I am impressed with the cleaniness of the surgery area and the professionalism of both Dr. Nadal and his staff. Dr. Nadal puts you at ease with a very relaxed environment (music playing) and his staff always make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Nadal's minimal invasive surgery for a pain free experience!

I had a severe bunion on my left foot-it's been removed-Sheldon Nadal did a fantastic job -I had great support from both him and his staff. It has only been five months since my procedure and my foot looks great, feels great and I am back to my daily activities and wearing shoes with no pain.

As long as I can remember I have had pain on the edge of my foot -- I put it down to having fat fee. My wife went to Dr. Nadal to have her bunions corrected; she was extremely happy with the results so she suggested I should talk to Dr. Nadal about my feet. I went in for my assessment - he reviewed the x-rays with me, showed me where I had a problem, and explained how he could help -- using clear and understandable language. After a short reflection I scheduled the surgery.
The surgery was painless (even for a wuss like me).
Regular followup visits were scheduled. First Dr. Nadal would examine my foot, then one of his assistants would do a laser treatment - the assistants are all friendly and professional.
If you are having problems with your feet, I would recommend a consultation with Dr. Nadal.

Dr.Nadal comes off curt when you first meet him. However, you will quickly learn that it's not for lack of caring but rather for the sake of efficiency and precision. Answer the questions he asks. Don't get off topic and for goodness sake do not touch your mouth or face as you speak or you will end up with alcohol disinfectant on your hands! A sanitary workplace is very important.

Dr.Nadal is caring. He made me feel at ease with his love of music and Spotify playlist. His staff seem to respect him and listen to him. When he asks for something they deliver immediately. As a client, when you ask the staff for something (i.e. insurance forms) they also deliver. Appointments are relatively punctual. I haven't had to wait too long.

I had minimally invasive metatarsal surgery done. I walked out of the office, never took pain medication. 6 months later I'm back to training half marathon distances. Dr.Nadal is a master surgeon and I highly recommend him!

Highly recommend Dr. Nadal's office. I was referenced from a nurse in Kingston, and have had such a great experience. Very thorough with follow up appointments and SO accomodating. Jennifer the receptionist is so nice, patient, understanding. The nurses all have a smile on their face, and are so personable. Any questions you may have are answered. Doctor's offices are usually cold to me, but I travel 45 minutes out of the way to them and will continue to do so for any foot needs!

Please DON T go to him for any work. He charges you a tone of money for partial work. He will claim to do one thing but do another.

I have had two surgeries with Dr. Nadal. The experience was excellent. Lots of care was taken with follow up. After managing pain for 10 years, I am now completely pain-free and comfortable. Thank you to Dr. Nadal and his staff for their expertise.

Dr. Nadal and his staff were exceptionally professional, pleasant, caring and friendly. The whole experience was simply amazing.
I had arthritis in my big toe such that it was totally stiff, in pain constantly and getting larger each year. A local Chiropodist provided a new shoe insert with a steel toe plate to prevent the toe from bending. This did not really address the arthritis.Then I found Sheldon Nadal who is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) which means he can do surgery. Why? - because he is older and the rules changed in 1992 preventing future DPM from doing surgery, hence their new name Chiropodist.
My first visit was an assessment of my toe, x-rays and discussion of possible treatment options. I selected surgery knowing the cost would be incurred totally by me. Day surgery, in his office using only freezing of the toe area, was scheduled. Microsurgery meant that no large incisions would occur! The surgery took 1.5 hours, but it was pain free except for the initial freezing needles. Even those were handled in a gentle fashion. Throughout the surgery, Dr. Nadal explained every step - no surprises. If I felt any pain, I was to tell him so that further freezing could be applied. The bandage was layers of soft material wrapped around my foot. I gingerly walked out of the office with a special protective sandal. Tylenol was my only pain relief and this gradually became unnecessary by week three. Five weekly visits have occurred where the bandage was removed and replaced each time. My foot was cleaned and the Doctor examined the surgical area. Because it was microsurgery, the surface had only two stitched up holes and two other holes with steel rods holding the toe bones in place. These were removed at week four, without any pain. At first the toe was painful enough to not want to walk much except basic needs around the house. Each week I have become more mobile while staying in the house - no outings or outdoor walks yet. Recovery has been quick and swelling is gradually decreasing even as I walk more frequently per hour.
I would highly recommend people with foot issues to check the website and book an appointment. Five star treatment; five star medical work; five star staff who are stellar with follow up support.

Dr. Nadal was very informative about the procedure for bunion removal, clearly outlining what I would experience during the procedure and afterward. The procedure itself was quick, painless and my foot looks great -- bunion free! He has gone out of his way to look after my needs and address any concerns I might have. He and his staff are very personable and have been amazing beginning with the surgery and through each follow up checkup. I highly recommend Dr. Nadal and his staff!

Another arrogant Toronto doctor.. almost comically rude. I went to one of the other million podiatrists in the city and am very happy I did so.

Dr. Nadal was highly recommended to me by my twin sister so I went in with high expectations. I had to wait a few months to see him as I was a new patient, but definitely worth the wait. From my first contact with the receptionist at his office to the end of my most recent appointment, they have always been very professional, polite, personable, and pleasant. Dr. Nadal successfully treated my very painful heel spurs with extracorporeal shock wave therapy. Thanks to this therapy and the prescription of custom made orthotics, I have been pain free for the past four years. I highly recommend Dr. Nadal's services.

In 2004 Dr Nadal removed the bunion on my left foot- 15 years later I am back to get the right one done, you would find it difficult to see the scar. Would not have gone anywhere else.

I went to Dr. Nadal with bunions on both feet that made walking painful and wearing closed shoes a trial. I'd been putting off surgery for years because (a) I hate pain (b) I'm terrified of pain, and (c) I really HATE pain! The procedure is exactly what Dr. Nadal said it would be -- painless! I actually walked out of the office on both feet after each surgery and did not need pain medication even after the freezing wore off! Dr. Nadal and his staff have been wonderful, thoughtful and caring throughout the whole process. It has been a little less than a year since the surgeries and I'm back doing the things I enjoy -- one-hour work outs, walking everywhere and actually wearing nice shoes without foot pain! I've recommended Dr. Nadal to everyone I know who has painful bunions.

I had a bunion removed from each foot about a year a part. Each time the procedure was painless and I am very happy with the end result. I followed the instructions after the procedure and I was back to normal in no time. There are virtually no scars on either foot. A wire was temporarily inserted during surgery to keep the toe straight, for me that was the only phase that caused a bit of discomfort when I walked until it was removed.

Dr. Nadal performed bunion and bunionette surgery on my left foot this year. I am extremely happy with the results. I have been able to resume all forms of exercise without the discomfort of a painful joint. The aesthetic result is also great, well worth the investment.

Just didnt feel comfortable. Im sure Dr. Nadal is good at what he does but I just didnt feel comfortable after I left the clinic.

I first met Sheldon Nadel approximately 14 years ago when he performed 5 separate procedures on my feet. I was a flight attendant for a major airline for many years and wearing high heels for long days took its toil. The surgeries were painless and the results excellent. I have had many compliments on my feet and always give him credit and a referral.
I recently developed a painful contracted fifth toe on my left foot. I have booked an appointment to correct this.

Fashion etiquette during the 1970's and 80's dictated that appropriate dress for the office included high heels being worn all day, every day. As a young woman, I never imagined that I would require surgery to correct the years of abuse I placed on my feet. For over 25 years, I suffered throbbing pain as a result of the development of bunions on both feet. I recall seeing the services of Dr. Sheldon Nadal advertised in Chatelaine and often folded the page corner for future reference.

In 2008, I began exploring the idea of having the bunions on my feet removed and was referred by my family physician to an orthopedic surgeon, who was eager to slice open the top of my feet from toe to ankle to make the corrections required. Needless to say, I got "cold feet" and did not pursue the idea further.

I later learnt that my sister-in-law Cindy, a professional skater, had met with Dr. Nadal and made the decision to have the bunion on her right foot removed. She was so pleased with the care he provided that she encouraged me to make an appointment to see if I was a candidate for his minimally-invasive surgical technique.

By the time I met with Dr. Nadal in 2012, I was a zoomer and not only did I require the removal of the bunions on my feet, but both large toes were misaligned and my left foot overpronated. A bunionectomy on my left foot was scheduled first and three months later, the same procedure was performed on my right foot. Both times, I walked out of his office with no assistance.

Throughout this experience, Dr. Nadal has been informative, caring and thorough. The painless surgeries were performed in a sterile environment in his office under local anesthesia. Dr Nadal followed up personally 24 hours after each procedure. I experienced no pain during the procedures and very little discomfort during the recovery periods. During the five weeks of followup appointments after each surgery, he and his staff were professional, punctual and welcoming - Jennifer calls to remind you of each appointment!

And the care continues... I have been fitted with orthotics and upon receipt, was able to wear them immediately all day - perfect casting! They provided the support my feet required and when I slip my feet into my shoes, it truly feels like I am "walking on a cloud".

I had a bunion on my right foot that acted up when running and hiking. It gradually got to the point where it became painful to walk. Dr. Nadal performed the surgery on that foot four years ago. The procedure was a breeze as I sat listening to great music while leafing through magazines. The pain after the surgery was less when compared to what I felt with the bunion. I resumed all of my normal activities without any problems and was back to running on the treadmill after four months. I had surgery again this year on my left foot with the same results. My feet look fantastic and I am able to wear all of my shoes.
I would recommend Dr. Nadal to anyone who is experiencing painful and unattractive bunions. One word of caution - study up on jazz singers as Dr. Nadal loves to play the "guess who's singing" game.

After having pain in both my feet for over 10 years, I found Dr Nadal. I had surgery on both my feet for arthritic joints in both my big toes. I had the surgeries back to back. My pain was so intense before the surgery that it was difficult to walk and put on shoes at time. After the surgeries I am pain free. He is a great doctor that takes pride in his work and looks after his patients to make sure they re taken cared of. His staff are the best. They are all friendly and are great at what they do. The only regret I have is that I didn t go there sooner. I could of saved myself years of pain. I highly recommend him and his staff.

I was suffering from a very painful ingrown nail which had become infected. Dr. Nadal was able to see me on very short notice over the holiday period and provided prompt painless surgery and laser treatment. I was able to walk pain free immediately after and was provided with ointment and care instruction and a follow up appointment. The initial treatment and follow up appointment was provided in a pleasant friendly atmosphere with excellent staff. I am very pleased with the results and my toe looks great!

Staff great; had a bunion, neuroma and crooked toes. Operated back in June, 2016. Walking and doing yoga again, no problem. Toes straight, bunion gone and no longer feel neuroma. Highly recommend Dr. Nadal.

I saw Dr. Nadal for help with an extremely painful ingrown toenail. The procedure itself was relatively quick and with minimal pain, and the toe was only sore for a day or two afterwards. Dr. Nadal was very good about following up with me afterwards, and I felt comfortable with him at all times. I would highly recommend Dr. Nadal for anyone needing footcare in the GTA. His office is easily reached by TTC (short bus ride from Eglinton Station).

When reading comments on line about bunion removal surgery at your local hospital there is a common theme unbearable pain, couldn t walk for weeks and needed crutches to move around. After reading this I decided to live with bunions forever. Until my husband came across Dr. Nadal s website and encouraged me to schedule an appointment. 5 years later I am bunion free! Dr. Nadal s professional and expertise is incredible. He is very thorough, patient and made me feel at ease throughout the entire procedure and during my post op appointments. My wife had surgery to help with pain caused by severe arthritis of her great toe. The office was always accommodating to apt. times and the whole experience was very positive. Her toe feels so much better now, and she tells me that should she need the other one done in the future she would indeed go back to see Dr. Nadal. The procedure was literally pain free, the anesthetic was given so smoothly she never felt it go in. He was surgically very clean, ( she has been an OR nurse ), and the time went by very quickly, with him chatting and music playing. Each follow up apt. went the same way and there was very little pain involved. She would highly recommend him to anyone who has problems with arthritis or bunions and wishes an alternative approach to traditional hospital orientated surgery. She was able to walk immediately and had no cast to deal with, and the scar is nearly invisible....compared to having to walk with crutches for 6 weeks or more and a cast with the regular surgery, and there is quite a long scar and a lot of pain afterwards.

Don't hesitate to have a consult.

Spent years looking at an ugly toe. Saw an advertisement for Sheldon, made an appointment and got it all fixed up complete with monitoring and follow ups to make sure things were going as planned. Took care of some other minor foot aliments while I was there as well. Not sure why it took me so long to go and get this done. I would say some of the better money I ever spent.

I was quite nervous about having bunion surgery but was very pleased with the local anaesthetic and surgery. Dr Nadal explained the procedure very carefully and he was wonderful during the procedure. There was absolutely no pain.
After the surgery I walked out of the clinic and down to the parking lot. I was off my feet for one day and was moving around well after that. I could definitely have returned to a desk job in 10-12 days.
The follow-up care has been wonderful. Dr Nadal's staff are careful and caring. They take their time and look after you well. Overall, the level of care has been excellent. I strongly recommend the clinic and Dr. Nadal. Tony

I feel that I paid some tax on stupidity coming here. Before first appointment they give me a paper to sign, stating that I understand that this person is not a "real doctor". After that everything was pretty logical. The guy does have an X-Ray machine, so he made X-Ray of my feet, then honestly told me that he has no idea where the pain is coming from... but, if I wanted to, he could offer me a $650 arthritics. That was the end of the appointment. The only two things to add: he was 40 minutes late for my appointment and he charged me $300 for nothing. I am not sure why I paid. Of course, not coming here again.

Dr. Nadal provided me with the best orthotics I have had in years! He quickly assessed my condition and now I have much less pain when I go hiking and feel very comfortable walking my 10,000+ steps a day. I have a very good perspective with regards to my bunion procedure done by Dr. Nadal. In 2006, I had my right foot bunion removed by an orthopaedic surgeon at a hospital with total anesthesia. In the days immediately following, I had a lot of pain and didn't tolerate pain meds well. The end result was good, but I never saw the doctor after the operating room. In 2009, I had my left foot done by Dr. Nadal. The difference between his procedure and the one in 2006 was significant. I experienced very little discomfort following Dr. Nadal's minimal incision procedure, which was done in his office under local anesthesia. The only pain med. I took was extra-strength Ibuprofen. Follow-up care was frequent and well-organized. It's three years since, and I just had another check-up, with another scheduled in a year. The end result is far superior to the orthopaedic surgical one, so I certainly recommend Dr. Nadal and his minimal incision procedure to anyone and everyone.

I cannot tell you how important my experience was with Sheldon Nadal.
I researched bunion operations for a long time and was deathly afraid of doing it. I have been telling everyone about it since!!!!! It is no word of a lie: I felt NO pain!!! None. The procedure was quick and totally pain free. I never needed to take the painkillers after the procedure. I now have no marks on my foot except for a tiny little dot! I am wearing high heel shoes again.
I will need to get the other foot done but feel no worry whatsoever. I will go and have Dr. Nadal do it again.
The check-ups were always thorough and extremely caring. I cannot say enough about this. The best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your feet hurt, stop! You have to see Dr. Nadal.

My feet hurt and I spend a lot of time on my feet; sometimes 16 hours a day. Especially the metatarsil. No one could help and I tried it all. Then I found Dr. Nadal. Magician, no. Sorcerer, no. Genius, yes! I felt the difference with one sound and laser therapy treatment. It sounded too good to be true. But is is not!

I had 4 treatments. I can now walk like a normal person and wear normal shoes. If your feet hurt, they don't have to. See Dr. Nadal. It was worth every penny and the three hour drive, one way; that makes 6 hours just for an appointment.

The staff are great, down to earth people and they revere their boss.
