I was employed at CareOne Evesham for exactly one year. At the time of my hire in October, 2017, I really felt like I had found my home as a nurse for the remainder of my career. Sadly, this was not to be. I have been a nurse for 4 years and I love every aspect of patient centered care because if not for the patients I would be unemployed. I pride myself on the connections that I have made with many of my patients and families. Having a loved one admitted into any healthcare facility is a difficult decision to make, and it s my duty to make the transition a somewhat smooth one. The staff who I worked with on a regular basis have become friends outside of the workplace. My decision to vacate my employ was due to unsafe nursing practices which continually made it difficult for me to want to go to work there everyday because I felt my license was in jeopardy and the patients well being was not considered. I felt management is and was not invested in hearing and/or knowing what the employees needs were. Working on the SAR (Rehab) unit is a high paced environment and the patients there are very sick so attentiveness to their needs should be of utmost importance. Staff to patient ratios are unrealistic and unsafe! Recognition for staff productivity and longevity are overlooked! The medical director is a bully and her staff follows suit! Bottom line... I would not recommend this place for employment and that is sad because the actual rehab department is excellent, the staff nurses are qualified but overwhelmed and overextended which causes frustration for them, the patients and the families! Unless and until CareOne Evesham ownership and management really decide to take these negative comments seriously and investigate and resolve these issues, then I fear they will continue to live up to its horrible reputation that it has gained in the community.
Happy employees make for a positive patient experience! TM
