The mosque is very beautiful, but the underground parking is closed and its too far to park the car and walk to the mosque. If you have kids up to 10 years old, dont take them otherwise you both will sit outside the main hall!!

Good spot in winter and without kids.

One of the most beautiful places ever seen.

Unfortunately it was a Friday, and due our limited layover time, we could not enter the Mosque.
From what we saw, it is absolutely breathtaking, the area is especially neat and the security staff very friendly.

The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one the world s largest mosques and a massive architectural work of art that intentionally blends different Islamic architectural schools. It features 82 domes, more than 1,000 columns, 24-carat-gold gilded chandeliers and the world's largest hand-knotted carpet. The main prayer hall is dominated by one of the world s largest chandeliers.

Friday prayers here are great but they do not let children in the main prayer hall which is something I find annoying. I understand some parents let their kids run around and shout, but the majority of kids don t make issues

A bit chaotic as it is very very crowded. You need to go downstairs under the big glass ball to register for a free ticket. The ticket will be scanned twice so keep it: once 20 in the complex and the gang 20 inside the Preyer room. Women can hire a dress to cover for free. They dont allow pictures of women without hair covered from outside the mosque what I found a bit idiotic as they are allowed not to cover the hair but for a picture they have to cover. I saw guards coming to people asking to see the last pic taken and then asking to delet it. You could see how people were very confuse especially the way they are approached by security demanding seeing pics. Bus 94 connects the Mosque with the bus station and the Louvre!

This is a truly magnificent edifice with stunning architecture and awe-inspiring decor. I participated in a guided tour which was open to everyone regardless of religious affiliation. Each person on the tour had a headset to hear the tour guide without having to get close. It appeared no expense was spared, since the best materials and experts were sort around the world to construct and decorate the marvelous structure. Get ready to feast your eyes and to swivel your head in all directions. And don't forget to look up at the spectacular chandeliers. If you hang around late enough, you'll be fascinated by the exterior lighting as well.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most iconical places i have come across. Located around 20 Kms from the International airport of Abu Dhabi, It has lots of cultural value and one of the best architecture of its times. The place is extremely calm and give lots of relief to your mind. The positive energy i felt is tremendous. People from all parts of the world , irrespective of their religion belief come here and witness a wonderful place. This place has ample parking space, lots of support staff to guide and a good food court and souvenir shops. There is no entry fee but the visitors have to register themselves, which can be done then and there. There is a small water fountain and a pool of water which gives a very nice look. There are photograph zones being marked so that you can take selfies and other photographs. Its hard to explain the feeling and experience in words so i would be posting some pics. If you are at Abu Dhabi , this is a must place to go....

Worth a visit for sure. Beautiful from every angle. They provide garments for men and women, so do not be deterred by the sign outside describing dress code, just continue on down the escalator (in the glass box) and you will be directed where to get a garment.

One of the pinnacles of the visit to UAE. Definitely worth a separate trip to Abu Dhabi.
The dominant color white contrasts beautifully with the blue sky - the clouds make it even better. The place is enormous, inner courtyard reflects columns and domes. It's a photographer's Paradise, inside or outside.
Also, second largest chandelier and the largest carpet in the world are worth looking at. You won't be admitted inside (without a tour, that is), but you'll get a good look.

The entrance is free, which is great. You might get lost at how to enter, the staff there is a bit grumpy and not all of them speak English well enough. The signs aren't really helpful, too - but the design and architecture are definitely worth the effort. Don't miss this place if you have a chance.

Plan your trip close to evening so as to enjoy the view in the sun light and later in the night lights adding great beauty to the massive white domes. Dress appropriate, check the website for details and timings.
