A couple of minutes from the city centre. Everything ok!

Very comfy beds, clean, decent sized rooms and ensuite, tea and coffee plus kettle supplied. Decent view, convenient location, nice and quiet. Enjoyed my stay. Would stay again

Friendly staff, decent breakfast for a hotel of this price range (buffet style). Rooms were incredibly hot, but this was on a very warm weekend in summer, so this probably isn't usual.

Shocking service, was told check-in is available at 3pm however the manager insisted this is from 3pm so basically you can only check in if the cleaners are on the ball !!!!

Only giving a star because you have to so you can post. Had a terrible stay, the room wasn't very clean. The bed was not comfy and we did not sleep a wink as there was arguing/shouting all night which did not stop till 10am when police had to be called.

Very lovely rooms, lovely staff, cosy and definitely would stay again! The location is just 13 minutes away from the station by foot.

Tried to book a single room for 2 nights at OYO, Sheffield Metropolitan. Website is appalling. Called OYO central reservations. The person I spoke to was trying to book me the OYO in Luton!!!

APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Why did I sign up to their one time password!!!

Booked a standard double room online for one night, when we arrived we was informed there was a problem with the system and there was no standard double beds available so would be staying in a twin room. Annoying but I understand it wasn't there fault. However this was not dealt well by the receptionist who wasn't welcoming and offered us two free drinks at the bar as compensation (I'd expect a little more for a mishaps like this but nevertheless). When redeeming the the drink I was disappointed by a flat lager. The service when checking out was much better though.

The room was surprisingly large with an equally large bathroom which was nice but the room looked outdated and the sofa in the corner needed a good clean.

Friendly staffs, well maintained rooms and beddings and for a budget price, I was surely impressed.
Would surely be going back there if I have a reason to be in Sheffield

Basic but nice enough, lovely staff, clean, good location

Room was massive, really clean and comfy. The check in was quick and easy, parked at the front of the hotel which was convenient. I wasn't well in the morning as I'd had way too much to drink at the Christmas party so they let me check out and hour later - really appreciated this thank you.

HATED IT! STAFF WENT THRU OUR BAGS ... The manager was really good and helpful tho.

This hotel is quite tired. Room was clean but no air conditioning made it quite uncomfortable.

Windows are not always closed well and the hairdryer is under the desk that is not easy to use.

All staff were friendly, warm and welcoming the down side was waiting over an hour for an iron and ironing board to be sent up to the room after asking reception team for a 3rd time for one

Standard hotel. Nice staff and facilities, but could use with a mini fridge in rooms.

Decent place. Room a little bit cramped for three of us

Good hotel & reasonably priced. The staff we met were lovely very welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Nicely furnished room. The bathroom wasn t as modern as I m used too in hotels but it was very clean.
Taxi s were cheap from here to the Kelham Island area

Reception staff are a little slow on service however the rooms are a good size with the essentials provided. Could do with a little bit of maintenance in places and a bit of an update but overall its not a bad place.

Good room, courteous staff and above average breakfast. Short walk from station and 5 minutes from city centre. Overall, very good.

Tidy and comfortable, no noise. Only issue is that we asked for extra sheets as it was cold and we were given stained ones.

Budget hotel, quiet yet close to town centre, good breakfast.

Good room size bed was comfortable only criticism is room was a bit dark as not all lights were working and the food at the bar although nice was a bit pricey for what you got however the staff were all helpful and friendly and was easy to locate from train station just a walk down the street. I enjoyed my stay.

Very disappointed as I was staying for a whole week and they used barn eggs for breakfast instead of free range. A shame they don't responsibly source food for such a comfortable, clean hotel.

Outstanding at every level, staff and customer service was excellent, rooms wee modern and stylish, beds very good had a great night sleep.

Buffet/Cooked breakfast was perfect, wide choice of everything. Complimentary newspapers at reception.

Great location for access to city centre (a few minutes walk) and also to Major roads and motorways.





I would highly recommend this to family, friends, colleagues and visitors. Excellent, loved it!!

The room was really good, but too hot and stuffy for me so had a restless night, but it's handy for town and staff friendly.

Not recommending it.
No AC and it gets very hot in the rooms.
Rooms all dusty and full of spiders. Because it was very hot couldn't open any window as it was full of spiders and even more would get in from outside.
Friendly staff tho.

Management must be aware where this hotel needs improving. Rooms are old, no air conditioning but quite good breakfast. The price was high from Saturday-Sunday.

Close to the city centre, nicely decorated clean room with everything needed in it. Very quiet and peaceful with fast elevators to the higher floors. Only issue was booking a double room and getting to single beds next to each other but nothing major

A great cheap hotel that is a more personable alternative to travellodge and premier Inn although parts are a little run down

Beds and room OK, clean and comfortable. Very noisy as it fronts a busy road and there's lots of building work going on. Also woke up both nights of our stay (around 3am) by noisy guests banging on their doors and slamming them with no More

Really polite and helpful receptionists here. The room was spacious, warm and comfy. Appreciated having instant hot choc as well as tea and coffee. Wish there was a car park on site but found the road down the right side of the building that leads to the Hilton is free if you park between 8.30pm and 8am.

Under new management so hopefully the lack of air con and other issues will be addressed. Mouldy fruit in with an otherwise good breakfast spread. Lovely lady called Marie on check-in. If it stays cheap and cheerful I would return regardless of issues.

Nice pleasant hotel, spacious room and a very large bed. Very clean and staff were friendly.

Service was good - staff were friendly and accommodating. Location was good, although not particularly pretty, 10 mins walk to the city centre. Rooms slightly shabby but a decent size. The bed settee wasn't particularly comfortable as it sagged in the middle. The shower was good and bathroom was clean.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was a bit tired and dated. Could do with a lick of paint and care.

Stayed here. Great city centre hotel with morden rooms. Parking is in their car park is limited but there's an NCP car park behind the hotel and the young man at reception directed me. It's paid parking, even in their car park.

The room itself is equipped with an King-size bed, an armchair, a desk and chair, a digital TV, a kettle and tea/coffee, an iron and ironing board and a small wardrobe.

Bathroom is spacious and comes with a bath and towels - not bath towels, but one size up from the hand towel. They were sufficient for my needs but if I was staying for longer than one night I'd have asked for full bath towels.

I would stay again.

Great location for a stag do, a very short (15 minute) walk to the city centre. Loads of great restaurants and bars! Hotel was fine, comfy bed and a nice shower. Not all of the lights worked, but this was only a minor inconvenience. There was also a miscommunication with the payment for the rooms and one of us was charged in advance without notice, but this was easily sorted at reception by friendly staff. Breakfast was a simple buffet, with lots to choose from! Overall a great location and a good hotel for a short weekend visit to Sheffield city.

A nice hotel that won't win any awards but that will provide a relatively comfortable and good value stay. The hotel is a tad tired looking and had seen better days. With all that said - for the price it is a great value hotel and in a superb location.

Booked a room for tonight through trivago to find out that the Metroplitan have "no record" of the booking. Despite me showing them the confirmation email, the confirmation of payment and a hotel confirmation voucher. After then checking in More

Very clean rooms, service from staff was good as they were really friendly and helpful with any issues or problems. Room was spacious and bathroom tidy. Naturally didn't have a great view but decent enough with plenty of fresh air from windows.

First came out on this day, I see this Sheffield is so great. My heart has a lot of love for me

Good value and decent place. However there was a mix up with breakfast. We booked with breakfast included but we were denied.

Rooms need a bit of work done, but more than acceptable for the price. Restaurant is surprisingly good and the food is excellent

Had to Google the hotels check out time as it wasn't deemed information worth passing on from the hotel staff. Had a wake up call at 5:45AM that I didn't ask for, and the hotel is incredibly noisy. Zero sound proofing, with noise coming from other guests at all hours, slamming doors and shouting, to weird noises inside the rooms. Clean, comfy beds is about the best thing I can say about it, but it's not like I got to enjoy them. Hotel is in dire need of upgrading.

The rooms/furniture in this hotel is ridiculously outdated. I admit the reception area is relatively nice(such deception!) but I wouldn't stay here again if it was free.

I was at the hotel for an interview. The staff we very helpful and friendly. The conference/meeting room was clean and bright with a comfortable temperature and the ladies toilets were very clean.

Absolutely sweltering, worst night sleep in a long time

Hotel looked a tad shabby from outside but made up for it in the rooms. Nice and clean with towels and slippers laid out on the bed. The bed was really comfy so we got a great nights sleep, the room was to the back of the hotel so was really quiet. The bar was only open until 12 so we missed out on the chance to have a drink by the time we got back after the show we had been to which is something I do think should be extended in a hotel that size. Great friendly service throughout. Next time I'm Sheffield I'd go back.
