Sharkies is a great place to eat and enjoy the beach. Right on the Gulf, it has a long fishing pier. You can spend a day on Venice Beach and then put on a cover up and go to Sharkies to eat. The atmosphere is laid back and very resort like. Nice little gift shop too. Oh yes, there is another new place, more formal, on the second floor, check it out!

Was not impressed with the fish tacos for $19.50 ! Yikes
Friend had surf and turf and was ok I guess he didn t finish.

The drinks are like $2.99 for pop, I had water !

We had the clams as a appetizer they were great !

Employees wearing mask is good.

Total bill with tip for two was $65 ok service but acceptable tipped 20% for the sever (they got crushed by covid shutdowns)

Thats a lot for lunch I thought, beautiful view though !

Touristy. Mostly outdoor eating but a longer wait for that so we opted for inside. Sharkey's menu has changed a bit over the (20 or so) years we have visited. It is smaller but we found some good food. We ordered peel and eat shrimp but they were way over cooked. I order fried grouper with seasonal veggies and coleslaw. My husband order broiled scallops with yellow rice and veggies. My plate came out with yellow rice and spiral carrots and zucchini and sauteed green beans. His was plated the same. I had to request the coleslaw to be brought out.( I didn't want or care for the rice). But the grouper was tender, meaty and I could have eaten a plate of the vegetables alone and been happy. My husband enjoyed his scallops but didn't eat the veggies because he had a pre dinner salad as well.

On 11/25/16 I witnessed unprofessional at the highest level. A small group of four people were sitting at the table next to us. They appeared to be very respectful people. The waitresses treated them like crap. She was rude and very disrespectful to this people. When ask to see a manager he to was very disrespectful to them as well even threatened them with body harm. All they want was an explanation to there complaint. Never once the costumers disrespectful. They remained professional even though the stuff and management at sharks was not. I will not be back and will recommend others to not go back either.

Fun atmosphere. Food is good but for the price, I've had better. We tried three appetizers that weren't very good. The main course was good but again, I've had better. There aren't many restaurants on the beach in the area, so I would go again and try something else. Took a walk on the pier after dinner and the beach was gross. Dead fish and trash all over. Was surprised to see a few people walking on the beach. Ugh!

Service was terrible, complete lack of communication, front end manager had a horrible attitude and blamed our hour long wait for food on the kitchen manager, the shrimp was rubbery, fish was soggy, and the burger was harder than a hockey puck. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the meal was comp'd.

Great food, great portions, great service. Although they were packed Zack our server did not leave us wanting. Everyone was super friendly. Sat inside but still had a great view of the sunset. If your in the area don't miss a visit. Atmosphere was perfect, just what you want and expect when you think of Florida.

Stuffed flounder was delicious. Prices are fair but sides could be better. You get technically two sides but only get to choose one. The atmosphere is excellent. Would definitely go there again.

Sharky's is always great, pretty pricy dinner menu but their lunch is really reasonable. Some of the most satisfying waterfront french fries in Florida. Great vegetarian options, too, as long as you like beans!

special day for us as regular Sharky customers, usually celebrate anniversary at Fins, but i felt poorly on the date, so decided to order from the little Sharky truck on Pinebrook

ordered fish taco on 9/22, the last day of the little Sharky's truck, was given a hamburger bun with a piece of fish sadly laying on the bun -- no sauce, no taco, no nothing -- just a piece of fish on a dry hamburger bun with a little container of edamame. this is a taco??

husband ordered mojo pork taco -- this was on a couple flour tacos, but no sauce, no salsa, no no no anything, only 2 small containers of coleslaw. this is a taco??

did not realize the total disappointment of our meal until spouse arrived home with our poor example of a dinner.

Crowded! We arrived about 5 on a Saturday. Found a parking spot. But they do have valet parking. suggest reservations. They are extremely busy between 3 and 9. Got a seat at the bar. Food is wonderful! We had calamari and a vegetarian dish. Service was good considering the crowd.

Excellent spot on the beach but VERY busy. You have to wait a long time for a seat unless you are lucky enough to grab a seat in the open seating area. Good thing that they give you a beeper as to when your seat is ready and its signal will reach all the way out on the end of the pier

By far the worst place I have ever experienced here in Venice. A server named Vincent was by far the most rudest ugliest nastiest person that my family and i have ever encountered. Never will I ever give another dollar to this business a day in my life. Highly do not recommend coming here. The are also very rude about service animals. Absolutely disgusting.

High priced food and not good food either. Waitress was not good. The food appeared to be sitting for some time before it was brought to us. This is a good place to have a drink and enjoy the ocean view but pass on food.

Food was excellent. Had the chicken quesadilla, and was expecting it would be flavourless and generic. The tortillas looked housemade and it had wonderful flavor and spice. Onion rings were plentiful, crispy and had a housemade dipping sauce. So good! Will definitely come back.

Sharkey's is in a nice place, and you can enjoy the sunset on the pier or walk on the beach before or after eating. The restaurant is fine, but a bit overpriced. You're paying to sit by a window or balcony where the sun is setting, so it's good for a date or entertaining visitors. There is also a kind of tiki bar attached which is more low key and fun. Dogs are not welcome, even though the South side of the pier is a long wonderful dog beach.

Always a great place to stop and have a drink or grab a bite to eat. Due to location and venue you can expect to pay about 20 to 30 bucks per person easily or you can come to the outside tiki bar from the beach and enjoy a refreshing drink . Its the best on the water experience venice has to offer!

We LOVE Fins for its atmosphere and fabulous food. I do wish however that the host would smile and greet us when arrive. When I'm about to drop a substantial amount for dinner and drinks the least we could get is a friendly greeting. Same guy everytime..... smile dude!
