Best view of any restaurant in Venice. Food is okay but the refurbished interior and restrooms are very nice and much needed. The pier is still an issue.

Excellent food and service! Great place to go with friends
Used to be better. Poor service, mediocre food and high bills are the only memorable recollections...
Location is great and the mango bangos are very good. A little pricey but worth it considering the location.
I NEVER ATE AT SHARKY'S First of all, we called ahead and the woman who answered was extremely rude and irritated with us after we told her we were a party of 15. When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostesses expressed their irritation towards us. The long wait was understandable because of our large party and the popularity of the restaurant. What was certainty unexpected was the lack of accommodation and courtesy provided by the staff. Three different instances from three different employees, we were treated like they didn't want us there. Our solution (please, follow in our footsteps) was to get a few pizzas from New York Pizza Cafe down the street. The two guys working there were conversational and kind and the food was amazing and well priced. They were extremely accommodating for our large group, asking where we were all from and cutting our pizzas into more slices. Although the view at Sharky's on the pier is beautiful. The service? The ugliest.
Very friendly, great food. Love it, beautiful setting as well
Wonderful evening great way to bring in the New Year. Excellent fireworks display.
very nice place to eat , food is delicious and service was great.
I recomend everyone to check it out.
fast service too.
Fun atmosphere, good food, nice views of the water, best key lime pie EVER!
You are paying for the view and convenience of steps from the beach. Got the ceviche and it was mostly lettuce. Split an entree of fried fish, scollaps and shrimp. Not bad. Worth going to but keep expectations low on the food.
Awesome Service and Great Food !! Oh yeah and the Drinks
Horrible! I just took my family down from Sarasota. The waitress had so amateur training that I was feeling sorry for her. Although I was being super nice with her. I also did restaurant management, staff training and bar training, but we had a family night out so i was being nice..... After the food was cold and the drinks were late ( about 20 min) I was still being polite, it was a Friday night!!! I asked for liquor menu, she said they don't have one!!! I ended up paying 150 only for drinks..... at the end, I was still polite when the waitress walks up to me and ask me why I only gave her 20$ plus tip after I paid $250......(We were at the ground level smoking area, dirty cheap plastic table and chairs)
After so many years of food serving industry this was the most shocking complain I ever experienced at a "restaurant".....never again!!!!!! at the end I gave her $10 more because the ladies around me , They saved her job.....
First stop on our arrival from Canada. I had the boathouse salad with grilled grouper... INCREDIBLE!
Friendly staff, amazing food. Beautiful view of the pier.
We are here for a week and will definitely be back.
I come here every time I'm in town I come here. Family eats here a lot. Kind of expensive, but worth it.
Beer. Coleslaw and Chicken salad was not cold. Makes me worry. My friend ordered fish tacos and recieved Baja tacos. Waiter swore he was right and friend was wrong. He didn't write anything down but insisted that he repeated the order verbally twice. Baja tacos have shark meat that my friend never eats due to the mercury warnings. The waiter started handing money to my friend because regular tacos are $4.00 cheaper. What an insult! We will go back but hopefully things will improve.
Landmark restaurant at the pier on Venice Beach. Good food. Prices are decent. If you sit outside you may have to deal with flies.
The food was cold. Our waitress was never around. The waiter next to us was amazing. I normally love this place.
Sat at the outside bar yesterday, waitress was really rude. Definitely gave of some bad vibes. Thank goodness they had a dark haired professional waiter there to pick up the waitresses efforts to try and just make it to the end of her shift. The food was great. Had a black and blue bacon burger.
Good food but service is very unprofessional. Definitely worth checking out . This was just my experience.
I was kind of expecting more. The margarita was so so and the nachos were not something you would expect out of a dine in restaurant. Shredded cheese thrown over chips and put in the oven. Wish it would've been a more extravagant than that especially for 15 bucks.
Great servitude fair prices right on the gulf of Mexico I will be back here for sure
Had a great time. Love seeing the fisherman catching fish and sharks. The food was great and the drinks even better.
Fun fun fun at the beach. Food is good but not especially healthy. Margaritas are a weird blue and I do not care for the taste. Waiters are knowledgeable and.courteous. I recommend if you want to spend a touristy day at the beach. Kids seem to love the vibe.
Great New Year's Eve party outside on the patio!! Excellent view! The nachos with spicy shrimp were YUMMY! The Key Lime Pie was delicious!!
Swordfish was great. Server was great. Pigeons suck.
Endless fun getting shells and shark teeth. Water is beautiful. There's a gift shop and two restaurants. Public bathrooms and outside showers. Love it here!
Food was bland and overpriced. Sat on deck where plastic lock ties attached lights to rales. Brushed my arm against plastic lock tie leaving and it was so sharp it cut my arm. Left bleeding. Wouldn t recommend or return.
Visiting from Miami. Loved the view! Enjoyed the fireworks show on the beach. Came back the next day so we could go on the pier and also dined indoors due to the weather. A little pricey for average food but it is ocean front dining.
My sister-in-law suggested my brother take us to Sharky's. We made reservations for 7pm. We were seated about 15 minutes early. We ordered drinks. I ordered the Mango Bango. Our waitress asked if I had ever had it. No. And if I'd like to sample it. Yes. Yummy.
I had the lobster stuffed flounder. Flounder wrapped around lobster and artichoke dip. Oh my God it was delicious. Loved it!
Went there for lunch had a good time. Great service and great menu, only fresh catches of the day
Great view. Drinks and small bites! Awesome service!
Location!!! it is close to everything. Great atmosphere
The atmosphere was fantastic but the food wasn't as impressive, however, would go back just for cocktails and the entertainment. Amanda, our waitress was covering many areas, but overall did a good job. All places have no so good kitchen experiences and I'd likely try one more attempt on the food.
Good food. Sword Fish ****. Waitress was great. Can't wait to come back.
great location , nice and friendly staff, food was ok .prices are fair for the location....
Great food and amazing view. PERFECT place to eat, people watch, and take stroll on the beach afterwards.
Great for havong some drinks on the porch and a fun menu as well! Crab cakes are SOOOO good!
I like this place my first two visits...the last however was disappointing the server was very snarkey and food was just so, so...not sure I will go again.
Fantastic food. Great service and hey .... It's on the back too. What's there not to love.
Great food, location, and service. Be prepared to wait.
The shrimp and crab nachos are the best! And who doesn't like a frozen drink while looking at that beautiful gulf water this has become our new weekend hangout place since things opened up
Service was excellent and the swordfish that I enjoyed was the BEST I ve had to date.
Great atmosphere, very tasty food, wonderful to relax with a few drinks and enjoy the beach or pier.
Good food and service though it was very expensive. Location right at the pier is wonderful
I partied in the owners of this businesses house when I was in high school. Dang they had a sweet Crib, loved the furniture on the balcony. Oh memories... Joanne koz..
Always great service. Live music, good food, ocean view.
My blackened mahi was cooked perfectly. I couldn't decide which frozen drink I wanted so our server, Rob, offered a flight so I could sample them all. They were all good, but this allowed me to get my favorite. Everyone else loved their menu selections.
Never had a bad meal here and we come often. As far as too expensive, consider the atmosphere, and ambiance, I'd spend the few bucks others refer to as too expensive. Thank you Sharkies staff. Your all awesome.
Since we live here, we are the ones who bring visiting friends and relatives to Sharky's. No more. It seems your quality/quantity of food and service has decreased as your popularity increased. The string beans and coleslaw served with my wife s extra small serving of 6 oz mahi mahi were terrible. The beans were all string and no bean. The coleslaw tasted as if was sitting on a sunny beach since morning soft and tasteless. My son s Fish Tacos tasted as if they came from one of the many fast food fish restaurants in the area at 3x the price. Then there is the matter of service or lack thereof. As a vegan vegetarian, (I can become violently ill if I inadvertently eat meat, fish or dairy.) I ordered the Tofu Island Jambalaya. It arrived as Jambalaya with all the shell fish, etc. The server said she forgot to write the vegetarian order down and mistakenly ordered the wrong dish. Apology accepted. After waiting another 15 minutes, the Jambalaya arrived with tofu and big pieces of pork. She blamed the cook. How many times do I have to explain to your servers that I have a special diet? So now I had wait another 15 minutes while all our guests finished their meals. Not a pleasant situation. When it arrive it was noticeably a smaller portion and very skimpy on the black beans compared to years past. I used to love taking my friends to your place. But no more.
Wonderful atmosphere. Wonderful location and view. Price, a bit high. Taste of food... not as good as the price should dictate. My wife agrees that I can make better coconut shrimp at home. My Captains Platter had absolutely no flavor. My daughters dish was short on flavor. The nacho's, while rather good, were put together very poorly and the two we had at the table didn't even look similar. We want to love it because some of our friends love to go because they think it's the best, but we know better.
Seafood was ok but a bit overpriced. I have had better dishes. I would suggest smaller portions at a lower price. Service was good and great views of the beach. Popular place for tourist but obviously not a favorite of the locals. I probably will not be back.
They have jerk chicken on the menu. I ordered it but it wasn't real jerk chicken. It was more roasted then grilled to get the char-broil effect. Not spicy at all. Peas & Rice was ok & sweet plantains was ok too. Not bad but not great.
Love to sit outside, food is good, and pina coladas are great...view priceless!
