There are no bad seats in this venue. Always great sound. And as a supporter, the benifets make shows at SFjazz all the more enjoyable and easier to get tickets. Our faveroit place for jazz in the city.

Very staff are kind, beautiful and cool building so you can see the performance soon. A wonderful live house where celebrities such as Camachi Washington and Robert Grasper appeared. This area is wonderful also in the surrounding cityscape.

This is an intimate venue with great acoustics; exactly where I want to enjoy this type of music.

Tips:
If you're buying tickets in their website, there's photo from every seat so you know what your view will be like.
Also, there are a handful of fun little spots with cheaper prices. I really enjoyed looking over David Glass's shoulder when I sat on the balcony row behind/above the stage. It's an interesting perspective, but can be tiring because you're leaning over a railing to watch.

At the beginning, the people are sitting in their seats as the lights flicker and they patiently await for the musicians to appear from backstage. By the time they're performing the last song, everybody's up on their feet and dancing to the groove... pretty soon you're witnessing a jazz party and a standing ovation.

Even though the performance space is large and gracious, the scale feels wonderfully intimate. the architecture is very sophisticated. I am not very knowledgeable about jazz, but I love to come to performances here, and I always have a great experience. This place makes jazz feel very accessible. Everyone should support this fabulous institution.

James Martinez is awesome. Talented. Made our event memorable. Despacito!

We enjoyed the evening. Food was not the highlight. Drinks were great.

The location was great for a large group for a couple of hours. Highly recommend. Someone should sign a contract with Senor Martinez.

Pretty awesome place. We saw a Chris botti concert. We sat at the top row, wasnt to far from the platform but the seats we actually sat on were made for kindergartens. Overall it wasnt as cool of a place that it could have been but the sound was fantastic.

Hands-down the best jazz venue in the Bay Area. Has two concert spaces: the (larger) Miner auditorium and the (smaller) Joe Henderson Lab, each of which feel wonderfully intimate. The acoustics in the space are state-of-the-art and even the musicians claim that it's one of their favorite venues on the West coast to perform. The have a continual lineup of stellar performances, so no jazz fan visiting the area should pass up the chance to catch a gig here.

Attended Gregory Porter's set and....wow! The setting was intimate and the sound was perfect great acoustics. I like the way the designer used lighting to add color to the interior and exterior of the location. The place is conveniently located between lower haight and downtown SF and assessible to several local restautants. Parking was easy for me. I lucked up on a close parking space right on the street. Several people were strolling throughout this lively neighborhood and for that reason I was not too concerned about theft or break-in. Metered parking was not in effect because I visited on sunday. The SF Jazz offers membership with many perks....well worth looking into if you enjoy music/art and meeting lots of people that have similar taste.

Really enjoying the Friday s at Five concerts during COVID. I am missing my regular diet of art, music and dance and this helps me make it through. Looking forward to coming back to the jazz. center.

Truly one of the best places to see and hear jazz in San Francisco. Very relaxed atmosphere. Most acts will let you seat late and get up in the middle of a performance. Full bar. Next door is a wonderful casual restaurant called b side which is also highly recommended.

We have seen better jazz concerts for less !! The quality is there ... not the quantity. I find the price exorbitant and excessive for what we were presented (1 hour concert perhaps), moreover we are very badly seated on plastic chairs. I will not return to SFJazz. Lots of blah-blah and little music on arrival.

Miner auditorium has some of the best acoustics for a mid sized jazz venue in the bay area. Sfjazz get some of the worlds best musicians to perform fairly regularly at this location.

Seating is brilliantly designed to have unobstructed stage views from each seat.

The restaurant on the lower floor (B-side) serves very good food and drinks - just make sure you reserve your seats a month or so in advance.

The only minor challenge for the venue is parking.

Absolutely the best. Worth your time, money and support - no matter what kind of music you follow. Well curated acts, small venue, not a bad seat in the house. Reasonably priced, even more so if you become a member. Main stage, plus another small intimate club downstairs and a great little restaurant and bar next door. One of the jewels of San Francisco. Support live music! Highly recommend.

Was here for a work event. Great venue that was surprisingly spacious and well kept, but concert seating is a bit tight, as most music venues can be. Also, many coffee shops, boutique stores and restaurants within a two block radius of you need to step away. No parking as far as I could tell.

Great live music venue in Hayes Valley. The acoustics of the room are great, as long as you are not 90 degrees from the direction the band is playing. Like most venues, the noise is a bit weird on the periphery. Try to choose a seat in the middle if you can.

There is also a great little bar/restaurant beside SFJAZZ called BSIDE that is often overlooked. If you have time before/after a show at SFJAZZ, it's a great little spot to visit for a drink or food on its own!
