I ended up in this ER with a really bad bout of food poisoning and very dehydrated. Unfortunately I have a rare neurological condition. All I needed was 2 bags of saline and a mild sedative. I spent 6 hours explaining to 5 different doctors and nurses how to better help me. Out of 5 people not one of them listened. I spent 6 hours flopping around in a seizure before having a friend take me to somewhere where I could get some real help. Instead of being the science mystery for the zuckerberg ER that day.

Literally the worst. They have crazy people shouting in the halls, they take forever to see you. I'm talking 9 hours here. They run unnecessary tests, and find NOTHING btw. And then take another whole hour to discharge you. Also, completely dismissing my anxiety disorder.

Criminal billing practices. Operating a regional trauma center and refusing to accept private insurance is unconscionable and wrong. Why target and those who actually work for a living and pay for health insurance with greedy billing policy and absurd pricing for services, while catering to those who do not contribute? Disgusting. Front and center example of what is wrong with healthcare in America.

If you are admitted to the ER, and you don't have insurance. They give you a Hydrocodone then put you out by the dumpster. TEnjoy your $3,000.00 ER visit with out ever being seen by a doctor. Seeming to care about people only to pilfer money out of them is a time honored scamming tradition, and Zuckabook brings his A game.

I was involved in a motorcycle crash back in March. (thankfully nothing serious happened to me) But a trauma activation was issued to the hospital and I was swiftly brought to the trauma room where nurses and doctors started checking for any injuries. I had no serious injury just a bad contusion on my left calf. Therefore they just dumped me on a bed in the hallway where I spent the next 9 hours waiting for a doctor (who never came) to tell me what to do and send me home. After 9 hours they prescribed me with some ibuprofen. Moral of the story is , I received a bill for 35.000 dollars for being dumped in the hallway for 9 hours.. completely unacceptable in my eyes

Best Hospital in the World!!! Please read that statement carefully again!

I had a tragic, tragic accident approximately 2 years ago. My car, a heavy SUV--Mercedes Benz 450GL, rolled over me for nearly 1/4 of a mile. My injuries were so extensive and complicate that there was doubt I would survive. However, SFGH is the only hospital that could have saved my life. I learned through my private physician that the procedures SFGH's doctors and staff performed on me, could not have been done anywhere else!!! My doctor said: "They do pretty exotic things there that no other hospital will do, and I am convinced they saved your life."
Please overlook the minor things such as waiting time and the like. The wait time is well worth it, you get every second worth when you see one of their doctors. They are absolutely incredible. Dr. Manley--the Chief Neurosurgeon was given a great gift by God--his hands are miraculous!!!
I will be forever grateful to them!!!
