Very clean and comfortable accomodation, reception easy and friendly. The tapas bar next door was quiet on the night we went, but the service was very friendly and fast and the food delicious!

A lovely place for a wedding. The reception room, Starlight 2, looked impeccable & staff were polite & attentive.

Our accommodation was clean, spacious & well priced. Our room had ample pillows & a decent balcony, unfortunately the heater wasn't working well & the room was quite cold & with no staff onsite overnight we just had to put up with it.

A darker privacy blind between the bathroom & bedroom would not go astray as they are quite see-through, but the spa, shower & toilet all worked fine.

It would have been perfect if breakfast was an option & if there was a snack mini-bar.
Staff were able to accommodate our late checkout which we appreciated.

Very large, can cater for any size event, but they don't handle dietary requirements very well. I had a sign on my table and they still have me a contaminated meal. For entrees and mains.

My experience with Sfera s from beginning to end was absolutely horrible.
1) I had 5 wedding coordinators because they seemed to keep quitting, but no one ever communicated with the next one. 2 weeks before the wedding the new coordinator, Nicole, still didn t know what room we were in and knew absolutely nothing.

2) Before booking with Sfera s I visited the venue. I fell in love with a hanging floral arrangement above the bridal table and the coordinator told me it was theirs and can be included in my package if I make a deposit that week. We spoke several times about it via email and ensured my deposit was paid in time to secure the hanging.
1 week prior to my wedding I contacted the new coordinator, Nicole, to re-confirm again (didn t want it added to my bill due to miscommunication). Nicole replied and informed me it didn t even exist!! The bride that got married the week of my visit had purchased it and I had been misinformed . Nicole said she was happy to get a quote for me but it will be around $2000-$3000!!!! One. Week. Before. My. Wedding!
I emailed the owner explaining how upset I was, forwarded all the previous confirmation emails. He responded She no longer works here, sorry you had to deal with her, but there is no Floral Hanging and you will have to pay for one . His resolution was that he will waive the $220 cost that they have the right to charge me over my final number change. I had sent them my final numbers at 4:15pm and remembered two guests were no longer coming so I sent a revised email at 4:28pm with the correct number (minus two people). He said I could use that saving to put towards the floral hanging. I ended up being $2500 out of pocket.

3) Our Private Bridal Party Room turned out to be a reserved table for 6 in their public Boca Chica Bar. I was disappointed it wasn t a private room and would only fit half of us, but imagine my frustration when we get there and are turned away because the room was booked out for a 60th Birthday Party! I shared my frustration to Nicole, the wedding coordinator, I said I know its not your fault but this isn t what we agreed, I expected it to be a private room away from the public and where we can all be together for photos, I spoke firmly but calmly. She aggressively replied Well Jess, I ve worked with soooo many brides and you are the only person that s ever had an issue with this . She literally made me cry on my own wedding day after talking to me like this in front of everyone and completely ignoring how I felt. We ended up just all sitting in the hotel room and were unable to do any bridal party photos.

4) I asked to use the backdrop for our ceremony. I was told it would be a $200 cost BUT Nicole said if I wanted to do a trade and give them my Love neon sign. I agreed to pay the $200 as I wouldn t be giving them a $1500 neon sign. My sister however asked to speak to Nicoles supervisor to ask why it was $200 when the backdrop is already set up in the same room. The supervisor turned to Nicole and said Why did you say that? We don t charge for the backdrop when its already set up? . So it seems clear to me now that Nicole just wanted the neon sign.

5) Whilst doing photos Nicole asked me how much I would consider selling the floral hanging piece to them for. Yes, THAT floral hanging piece that was 'included' that I ended up paying $2500 for!

6) Our table skirting kept falling off so a guest went up to a man behind the bar and overheard him say to the waiter I cant wait for this f** wedding to be over and for this couple to be out of here . It was the owner Michael. She had no idea about the previous issues and she came to me and said Um, did you realise these guys hate you? How embarrassing.

Sfera s constantly tried to make me feel as though I was exaggerating or being demanding however the fact that the issue was them was confirmed when almost all of our suppliers complained about how disorganized and rude Nicole was.

Sferas overpromise to secure a booking and do nothing when things go wrong. So unprofessional!

my partners mother and it was so disappointing. I called and made a booking on Tuesday and i got the date wrong so i called and cancelled my Tuesday booking and made one for Friday. The guy i talked to didn't cancel by booking on Tuesday.I asked for a table near the window as my partners mother has been wanting to go there for 2 years but we were in the corner not what the guy said we were sitting. When we got there a staff member sat us down and gave us menus but when we asked about the menu she didn't know much about the menu or the pasta. I got the fettuccine and is wasn't cooked properly as some of the pasta was stuck together and hard, I only ate half. It took alot to get our waitresses notice to get more drinks and spoons for the pasta as they didn't give us any to start with. I didn't want to embarrass my partners mother so i didn't say anything while i was there or i would have straight away. I really thought with all of the hipe and fine dining prices it would live it to its name but severely disappointed. dined the 29/1/2016 haven't received an email back or anything!!

Newly named restaurant, Paradiso.

Newly named restaurant, Paradiso.
Boca Chica is great.
But don't bother with Paradiso.
With children running the place. Staff were hopeless.
Prices are high. Meals expensive and small.
A less than cafeteria atmosphere. With expensive drinks.
And fish that was not fresh.
Don't waste your money here.
Better to go to the Grand North.

Im staying at Sfera's tonight and my access card didnt work and after 5 mins i got in via the restaurant. One of the bedside lamps doesnt work and there is no remote control in the room for the television. Disapointing.

First time at Sfera's, it was truly a bad decision and a horrible experience. They promote this place as a function/convention centre with serviced rooms. Please expect zero service when a function is on, no one attends to anything else, apart from the function and funtion guests. Reception did not exist from the time we checked in till the time we decided to give Sfera's a miss and head back to the Crown Plaza. We decided to pack up at 9:30pm and leave Sfera's. There is a huge window that separates the room from the bath/shower/toilet, this window gets covered by a roll up window blind - despite this, there is zero privacy as you can see thru the glass into the shower / toilet. The rooms have interleading doors and on our night there was a crying baby in the next room which was crying for over 2 hours

The best thing is the location if working in the north eastern suburbs. The main problem is they always ask for full payment up front so we're not staying there this 6 night visit. Staff are not particularly welcoming or friendly. The place actually has a bit of a 'funny' atmosphere.
Servings at the Tapas bar are small and expensive - spent a fortune and left hungry.

Worst service ever experienced, no follow up and no option provided during the covid-19 situation. Always wait until the last possible moment to reply customer s request, the most unacceptable part is they even provide false/misleading information, will never come back to this place and strongly recommend all friends do not come to this place.
