Staff were friendly, nice space, however many of the guests were vegetarian and food was terrible. We were served a side plate of lettuce and mushroom for entre and a bowl of rice for mains. Ridiculous! As people's steak and chicken came out, you could see little effort was put into all of the food. My husband's sweet potato under his steak was lumpy and watery at the same time, and others said their chicken was dry. $100 per person. We complained and were brought an alternative 'side' of cooked vegetables. Come on people??? Poor show. We do like to eat food and do have taste buds. Very, very disappointing and will not recommended.

The venue was large and open and catered to 100 plus. The food quality was excellent and service from staff was great considering the amount of people. Overall Sferas was a great place to hold a function
Our stay was a wedding gift from a daughter as we are oldies getting married again. We found the room excellent and the bed was so comfy could have bought that mattress home, everything was clean and set up great full marks from us. We will definitely be recommending your suites to others.
Short version: had my wedding there, terrible service, 0 flexibility what so ever, poor time management, the staff setting up the wedding were rude and did not co-ordinate with my wedding planner what so ever and were rude to her.
Long version: organized my ceremony for my wedding through them. We decided not to have our reception there and after that their demeanour changed. after paying a heafty price for something so simple i thought theyd have some flexibility for us, e.g. late checkout on the room so my wife could get ready in her room with the bridesmaids, but no, they made us pay for an extra night that we were not going to use, not to mention they couldnt use the room anyway because they dont have cleaners on a sunday so they couldnt clean the room and give it to someone else anyway! They said "if you had the reception here too we may have been able to do something". Refused to store the flowers on site until we had to call up when they insinuated my florist was a liar and said she didnt call them at all. There was an extreme lack of communication, didnt return calls or emails for days. The actual day of the ceremony, the function managers ensured that they would start setting up at 2:30, i arrived at 2:50 where they had only just gotten the arbour out. It took them another 20 minutes to only get a few of the chairs out and guests had arrived with nowhere to sit! The function manager proceded to try and put the arbour in the wrong spot, i tried to correct her and she was rude to me saying that "no your wife said it goes here" to which my wedding planner said "no goes here as per the diagram that the bride drew." Then the function manager said "well im putting it here because thats what she said" so i had to intervene until (begrudgingly) the function manager conceded. Then they set up the chairs wrong too which we then also had to correct them. This may sound nitpicky however with the price we paid and how much detail we offered which they understood on the day they seemed lazy and unprepared. In the end the set up was beautiful and the ceremony was perfect however the hassle to get it to that and the fact that the groom had to intervene is ridiculous considering they were boasting their proffesionalism. The one person that showed care and proffesionalism was Morgan. She was extremely helpful. Would not recommend this venue to anyone to have their wedding.
Stayed her in may after a operation at modbury hospital Loved th spa bath/shower area............. room was average..lounge uncomfortable. View was nothing special. .pricing of room items expensive. .lots of doors to go through to get to rooms..
Cheap wine, was a $90/person 5 hr package for Xmas. Had to ask for refills all night inc ice for bucket. A table of 10, 1 small bottle of water! Had to even keep asking for water. Food ordinary, Mr Buzzy was the band who were good. No options for vegetarian or diabetics, 1 salad bowl with lettuce leaves, 1 onion round, cocktail tomato 1 for a table of 10 which was all the vegetarian could eat!!! Definately not value for money which is why we stopped going years ago, nothing has changed. Won't be back.
My Wife and I had our Wedding Reception at Sfera s in the newly renovated Studio Room and were happy with the service Christina and her team provided to us. The event was well organised, the room looked fantastic, all requests were managed in a timely manner and the waiter staff were friendly - not to mention the food was delicious! I would definitely recommend Sfera s Park Suites and Convention Centre for those looking to enjoy a stress free evening on their special day. Thank you.
Staff at reception were very friendly, and should be commended. But unfortunately the positive experience ends there.
One star lost for the dodgy internet issues. Claims to give a 500mb allowance, yet mine expired after less than 100mb (I track all my usage at all times).
Another star lost for the bathroom. Poor layout, the giant toilet roll dispenser is sitting right next to the toilet, making it very uncomfortable and awkward to sit. And the half-ply toilet paper was just insulting. The shower head was horribly rusty
Another 2 stars lost for injury due to the broken spa. First off, the jets didn't work. Second, there was a hack silicon repair job done on the water inlet, which I was unaware of until I'd already cut my elbow open on the razor sharp broken plastic. Bled a lot, but couldn't do much about it. No first aid kit in the room, just a bible and a $6 bottle of water. Reception was shut at 5pm, (despite claiming 8am-6pm on the sign beside the bed). Response from the receptionist was "Oh, hope you're okay" - Disappointing, though I'm sure she wasn't training to handle situations like that. Sure, it wasn't a life-threatening injury, but I was visiting the hotel to get some rest and relaxation... I didn't expect bleeding everywhere to be on the agenda. I've had to book in for a tetanus shot as a result.
Overall, I won't be back anytime soon. Next time I'll spend $20 LESS, and stay in a nicer hotel in Mawson Lakes with better views, better rooms, a nicer atmosphere, and lower odds of being unzipped by a dodgy repair job
Hotel check in closes at 5 so be sure to call ahead if you are planning to arrive later than that, but rooms are very modern and comfortable, and the staff were lovely.
Stayed last minute due to a dinner show, which consisted of a three course dinner and show. The organisation of the event was non existent, couldn't talk to anyone direct and nobody seem to know what they were doing . When we turned up to the event , we were told we needed to enter the dinner function with our overnight bags to collect the keys ? Um sorry what ! Room was clean but very simple. Meals at the function were adverage to say the least. We checked out of our room half hour past the due time , which we let the reception know . And without informing us we would be charged extra ? They allowed us an extra half hour to checkout. So a little disappointed. We got charged an extra $40 for a half hour extention on our time . Regardless would have been ok to pay it , but they should have advised us these costs . Not sure I will ever stay at this hotel again .
Really tasty food and polite staff always make an event one to remember. Sort of disappointed with such small drink sizes though, offering no Pints and only Schooners, but not sure if that was due to the sort of event I attended. Since I'm a nice guy I'm still giving 5 stars
Stayed after a function which was convenient. Not enough water pressure to have a hot shower at all (only cold). Same goes for the spa, could only get the hot water out at a trickle. The bedside alarm was still set for 5:30am which was a very unpleasant wake up.
Attention to every detail was the essence of this fine place. The waiting staff were fabulous, the food terrific and the atmosphere was the best. A great facility. Well done S'fera's.....it is a result of great management I am sure
My partner and I have been to 2 weddings this year with both receptions held at Sfera's. Both occassions had unique and lovely decorations, attentive service at both the tables and bar with a lovely view and great atmosphere.
The food was also great both occasions!
A really wonderful space for a small to moderate wedding reception size.
Large clean room with spa bath. Good selection of amenities and stocked bar fridge. Booking was easy and allowed for after hours self check in. Nice and quiet with good parking facilities. The only negative was lack of block out blinds which made it very bright early in the mornings. Could do with additional layer of bliss or curtains in addition to the translucent blinds. Helpful and friendly staff.
Lovely room. Air con a bit sus. Didn't like that we had to shower with all lights off because of the window wall between bathroom and bedroom parking great. Close to Tea Tree Plaza
Has my wedding reception here, what an amazing job these guys did creating the most amazing space, I will forever look at Sfera's with the happiest memories, thank you!
Fantastic accommodation and very open to helping us with our disability needs. They were happy for a hire bed and houst to be set up before we arrived and collected after we left. Many Thanks
Accommodation was perfect. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights. Our room was quiet and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful from booking our room to checkout. I would not hestitate to recommend Sfera's to family and friends.
We stayed at Sferas for a friends wedding, the accommodation was in the same area as the reception. Check in was really easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was easy to find with ample parking. The room was neat and tidy and the bed super comfy. We were very happy with our stay
Pros: Rooms are nice and big and function room looks good. Some may consider this a good place to get married. Lots of parking. Good restaurant on site. Lots of facilities nearby.
Cons: The room was so warm and the air conditioning stopped working on my second night of staying here which made a very uncomfortable night. Their staffed hours are very limited so cannot check in late, raise issues etc.. No unlimited internet. Far away from Adelaide CBD. No breakfast options at the facility.
Very underwhelming! We came here for a function and stayed in the accommodation. The food was very dissapointing - my main course of Atlantic salmon arrived and the smell was overwhelming...the chef advised there was nothing wrong and it always smells like that so it was replaced with a vegetarian option. More veggies were prepared and I m certain they were frozen quickly heated up as they had run out of what had previously been served. The organiser of the function sent the veggies back and they were returned just as inedible. The company was great but the food was a huge dissapointment...
Went there for my niece's Emma Brecivics Baby shower. Was a lovely afternoon, delicious food , lots of cocktails, fun X Games. Service was excellent all round. Great memories for Emma xxx
Amazing lights ,great airconditioning, clean, shower easy to adjust hot to cold, definitely come again was the closest motel for attending LIFEPOINT CHURCH .HOLY SPIRIT CONFERENCE 3 DAY EVENT,Which is on this year,2019,June 10th 11, 12th ,4 mimutes drive away.
Jess Lee was amazing with organising our wedding reception, what a star. We had the most amazing day and the food was amazing! All our guests loved it. Plenty of parking, accommodation was clean and the service was great! I honestly don't think it could have been a better day for us.
Requested a cot in our room for our 4 month old baby. Ticked the box AND added a comment in special requests. Arrived after reception closed... There's no number to ring, no way to get a cot... Have a full on day tomorrow and 3 hours of a drive home and will be exhausted from having to squish a baby in between mum and dad. Talk about sleep risks!!!! :(
**Edited to add. I sent a screenshot to the hotel on fb, where they've messaged me, to prove there was 2 requests added into my booking. Hoping they dont allow this to happen again. It was such a nightmare.
We had a stay at one of Sfera's spa suites, which we won as a prize. The room was nice enough, though a bit plain and lacking a few simple things you'd expect like cutlery other than teaspoons. For most, I'm sure that's fine. The location is good, the restaurant was also good, but nothing was exceptional. For functions, the spaces look amazing, but for a stay alone it was merely good.
Discussing Wedding menu...Wedding Planner was very helpful. Now waiting for the wedding menu to be emailed to us.
We have now had the wedding Gorgeous Venue... Guests did not need to wait for alcohol as placed on trays on the stunning bar to help them self's. Great Idea! Chapel is outstanding with chandeliers and view of the lovely park. It was a cocktail wedding however the food was a disappointment.Guest said to me they unfortunately missed out on food and many went home hungry..Food very ordinary. Additionally we did not receive Prawns that we had chosen for the cocktail menu.
Had first aid training in one of the function rooms. The room was beautiful and I actually thought about it as a potential wedding venue. The chairs were no good for the training seeing as we had to sit there for 8 hours but I see no problem with them for a shorter event. The grounds are beautiful
