Sew Fitting Review

I was recommended this place by a good friend/coworker. They are extremely professional, and very personable. I bought my wedding dress online and when I got it, it definitely needed work. They found a gorgeous sequin fabric to attach to my sash, fixed initial mistakes and I am extremely happy. I have two more fittings, and everytime it looks better and better. And the price is reasonable!! Also, they have cats, and in my eyes, cat people are kind loving and fun. So all in all, go here if you need ANY alternations!!

I took my wedding dress here to get worked on. It just needed some bead work and shortened a little. I was very very happy with how everything turned out! My dress was beautiful!! The staff is very friendly!! It is a little more expensive than some places I looked into but it was definitely quality work and worth the money!

I purchased a dress for my son's wedding. It is beautiful but it was long and I was going to be at an outside wedding in August!. Sew Fitting altered the dress to knee length. It has a 2 layer overlay and they did a fantastic job. I recommend them to everyone.

Ended up being a lot more than I wanted to spend on tailoring for my wedding dress, but I am happy with the final product. It fits flawlessly. Cisa is very good at what she does. If you are on a budget, I would suggest to shop around a bit, but if you are most concerned about getting a dress that fits you like a glove and looks amazing, then Sew Fitting is the place to go.

I was looking for someplace to take my wedding gown to be altered and found this company online. When I first went in, I was told by Cisa that my alterations would be a specific price, which I thought was a little expensive, but I agreed (and signed a contract). However, when I went to pick up my dress "3 days before my wedding", She charged me an extra $100 dollars which I didn't expect to pay and it wasn't in the contract. I went to several fittings and at no time was I told that there would be an upcharge added to my balance. When I asked her why was she charging me $100 dollars extra on top of the $500 she originally quoted per our contract, she replied, "Well, I spent countless hours and had to do a lot of extra work on your dress" Needless to say I was furious because I was already on a budget and she could've told me this at my last fitting or called/ emailed me this new information. At this point all I could do was pay the money and get my dress. I will never go back to her. Very big disappointment.

I had a terrible experience with this place. The first time I tried to go, I arrived well within their business hours, but was told I would have to come back because the seamstress was out for the next 2 hours so there was no one to take my measurements. I couldn t find another time to get back there for a week. Then once I finally did, it took them 2 and a half weeks just to hem the sleeves on my jacket, which cost me $42. Then to top it all off, when I finally got my jacket and got home today, it had cat hair all over it and a saliva stain! Because they have shop cats! SHOP CATS. I know I didn t cause the stain because the jacket was brand new. I still can t get the stain off and I m going to have to have it dry cleaned. I will NEVER go back.

Great local business. They do both men and women's and their prices are good for the area.

They did an amazing job on my wedding gown! I had a very long train with a difficult bustle and she made it so simple. The wedding dress looked like it was personally made for me after she was done with it!

They did a wonderful job giving my sewing machine a tune up.

I always come to them! They are quick and good at what they do! Sometimes a little pricey, but if you want a job done well. I've had many dresses hemmed and various other needs. They are always nice and alert you if there are ever any issues with promise times. Which I've only had one once and they ended up getting it done on the promise day.

Cisa was super nice to me for me & my fiance's measurements appointment. If I need any alterations on my wedding garments I'm definitely going back here.

Amazing work! Not only is this the cutest little shop, but they did amazing work on my bridesmaid dress! It fits so perfectly, I have never had a dress fit me so well. They were friendly and professional, and communicated with me a long the way. Also the shop cats are the best

Supposed to be open today from 11a-4p. I arrived at 12:50.. locked up tight and not a soul in site.. Wasted trip

I utilized their services for my Groomsmen alterations. Wedding was June 24th 2016. I was ecstatic with the results. The whole process was very professional, yet with a "down to earth" type feeling environment. Based on my research, pricing was more than fair. I was very specific with my desired outcome and look. I wanted individual suit components, per groomsman, to be custom tailored to a fitted, neat, athletic style. I'm not particularly overly muscular, and yet my button down and jacket would speak otherwise. Again, I was very thrilled with the outcome.

So why would I wait so long to post a review?

EASY. I'm not someone who posts reviews. I take it for granted that if a company is in business, they must do their job to at the very least a satisfactory level. It wasn't until 5 minutes ago when a friend asked for "My tailor's" contact info, that I came across the review posted prior to this one. In my opinion, it's a review posted by a competing company OR he/she who wrote the review posted it for the wrong company. And that's not fair. My review is accurate.

I really wouldn't go anywhere else. I am a guy, worse yet, an engineer. Therefore, I have no idea about alteration of clothes. The folks at Sew Fitting made alterations easy...try on, they mark, and a week later, all done. The ladies are very friendly.

My bridesmaid s dress was at least 3 sizes too big, but the store couldn t correct the order because it was a final sale. I was very afraid that the dress couldn t be altered and I d have to get another dress, but Allison at Sew Fitting did such an amazing job fixing it! It had to be taken in a significant amount, as well as taken up on the chest and shoulders, the sleeves shortened and the dress hemmed at the bottom. The dress honestly looks brand new and fits perfectly! I m so happy with how it all turned out and will definitely go back in the future if I need any other alterations.

The alterations were meh. They didn't listen to me about the fit I wanted, but at least they fit slightly better than they did before, for $20 a piece. However, they NEVER CALLED ME about them being finished! The first time I called to check was two weeks afterwards, they said it would take 1-2 weeks so I gave them the full two weeks. The lady on the phone said she would call me back later because they were busy. I never got a call back. I called back a few days later and finally they remembered my order and said it would be another week. Then I finally did receive my meh alterations. I took one pair of pants to another tailor to be fitted again because they altered them in a really weird way and they look funny, but for the rest I've just let it go. I will definitely be sticking with the other tailor I went to.

Cisa is simply fabulous and truly wonderful at what she does! Would absolutely recommend!
