Thank you for your attention to my concerns and my familys . Shout out for our two First time skiers!! Anderson and Madox. Generations ! Keep it up!
I m not much of a skier so I can t attest to the slopes but I had a great experience at Seven Springs. It s super cozy and the breakfast was great. But I m really writing this review because of how professional and helpful the staff was. I misplaced a very valuable item while at the hot tub (which is highly recommended) and Mr. Johnson from Lost & Found mailed it back to me quickly and in perfect condition.
They have renovated a lot of things at Seven Springs since new ownership. Food has improved at the main dining room. They also have many great events scheduled all year around. Yes, the service could improve on some things, but I wouldn't let that prohibit my visiting.
Fallen off. The slopes are still good, but the service inside of the hotel has decreased. The food is not as good, the service isn't as good, and the rooms aren't either. Still a good place to ski, but the hotel isn't as good.
Holiday in the Highlands is so great this year! The decorations are beautiful and all of the events were great for the family! From decorating gingerbread houses to rising the train and to top of the evening-cookies, milk and story time with Mrs. Claus. It was a great night out!
I had an amazing time skiing here. The slopes are superb, and the whole resort is pretty well organized, especially given how many people go there .
Restaurant had 1 waitress for labor day weekend. Inside there were 26 customers, outside there were 12 more. This lady(BETH) literally was running trying to wait on everyone. A manager walked through and never lifted a finger to help her out! I ordered a hamburger, I was expecting a good quality burger not a frozen patty. There are better burgers at PNC PARK! NUTTING SHOULD STICK TO RUNNING A BALL TEAM, OH BUT HE CAN'T DO THAT EITHER. Give Beth a raise anyone else would of walked out.
Fantastic!!! Love that I can ski with no hassle and can be amazing!!
Highly request it
Me and my boyfriend stayed over this weekend ;in room 739 and we had amazing time, the food at the breakfast buffet was great ,the staff was wonderful and helpful from check in to checkout, housekeeping did a wonderful job , but one thing needs to be fix was the reeling on the steeps of the inside of the pool I couldn t go swimming it need fix I went to the front desk and told them ,wish the outside pool was opened it looked more handcap friendly that was the only thing wrong you have a amazing place and will be back and I liked the shuttle service around the grounds handcap friendly
Lines were very long because it was the last day of the Summerfest event, and we only got to do three attractions. Other than that, we really enjoyed it.
Seven Springs is the most popular ski resort in Pittsburgh. It is great for family trips, kids and beginner to intermediate skiers. Lots of people without much experience so you should be very careful regardless of your skill. Watch out for the steep slopes. If your are a newbie you don't want to end on a black slope if you have not mastered the green and blue... Read the signs carefully as they can be confusing.
My second year in a row attending the Total Archery Challenge. The resort stall is awesome! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I will be coming back next year.
Seven Springs has things to do all year round. The golf course is well maintained and challenging. The ski slopes are fun for all abilities. There are several bars throughout the resort, mini golf, bowling, pools, game rooms, mountain bike park, zip lines, rifle range, a hotel... and the list goes on and on.
Decent snow (for the East), well groomed and maintained. Good equipment and comfortable rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Absolutely fantastic skiing no other place within 10 hours of Columbus Ohio can I make GS turns on some wide high speed GS runs.
Great Thanksgiving day buffet. Friendly staff, great environment and wonderful food selection.
The slopes looked great for skiing and the sun was shining brightly
Took my entire family here to relax and enjoy the holiday season. Everyone ha a great time on the slopes. The food at Slope-side was extremely average, almost cafeteria like. We all had the buffet which while it s only $28, it s just not enjoyable. Sooooo many dirty plates, and most of the food was cold and tasteless. They need to get a grip on this quick. Not to mention they ve made it look like a cheap convention center with terrible lighting choices. Not what it used to be at all !!!
Very cool place. Visited for Mother Earth News Fair.
Something for everyone! Great experience and great employees. I had a blast
We have a great time snow tubing. The staff was polite and helpful.
I live seven springs! One of the best places to go in PA
Every inch of the place is incredible. There are a million things to do and see. Granted, I went during the summer, but I cannot wait to return one day to see everything covered in snow.
Pretty tourist trappy, but beautiful! You don't have to pay to walk around, but prepare to pay for any activities. Great spot to take a date.
Decent selection of slopes, but overcrowded during peak times. Not impressed with the rentals, but overall it is a good facility.
Greatly needs updating. Visited in Janurary for a work conference. The rooms stay so hot we slept all night with the door open on our balcony.
Everything is just so over priced, and to charge per person, per half hour for hot tubs is crazy. I understand an appointment to keep some from spending hours in one. But it's just not worth the price.
Love Seven Springs but this year's service was quite lacking for the 4th of July celebration. Went to three different restaurants before we could even find someone to wait on us (not great for hungry kids). Seemed like they were extremely under staffed. I hope they don't start sacrificing service just to save a couple bucks. But I love Seven Springs and hope to continue making great memories with my kids. The same great memories I made as a kid with my parents and siblings.
FYI... the fireworks were amazing
Beautiful place. Went for the brunch buffet which was really good. Made to order omelets, fruit bar, waffles, etc. Attentive staff and cool neo-rustic feel to the lodge
Nice ski resort. Good food. Lodgings are authentic but dated. Quality customer service.
The intermediate section was a blast. Great downhill trails for sure. The people working there were helpful and nice.
Dinner and service by Sara were excellent in the Slopside dining room!
It is such a beautiful area, loved sitting out on the balcony and seeing the beauty of the mountains. The staff as well as the visitors were so friendly and helpful. The spaghetti from the Timbers is well worth the price and delicious, just make sure your partner doesn't order anything because you will need help to eat it all!!
Certain gentleman there was extremely unprofessional, that s all I ll say. Very dissatisfied
Been there to do mountain biking, provided with excellent Specialized rental service with staff not only prepared but friendly and nice.
Beautiful trails for mountain biking but more generally the location that offers various activities for adults and children in contact with nature.
Even the hotel and hospitality structure is pleasant, well integrated in the environment and not very impacting despite the various services offered.
A place where it's definitely worth going to both relax and detox from the city for fun.
This is a great place to bring the whole family its really fun for everyone and it has many things for little kids the ski lifts are always fun even in the fall or summer it also has an autum fest which is great they have lots of vendors and food and drinks for everyone. Its a great place.
A unique experience, the place is beautiful and you can feel in the atmosphere that is full of peace.
Robert Nutting's price gouging and tight pocket book strike again. He under staffs his mountain and closes half the lifts to pinch pennies. Seems like he never opens the North Face and the upper lodge was closed once again. Make the drive to go elsewhere. You won't regret it.
Kids loved the pool and game room , Kennedy made the best pizza i ever ate,,,,,,,Tammy was so nice to everyone in the game room,,,thanks
Maybe it s because I m from north of Montreal and I was spoiled growing up, but this ski resort is overpriced, and completely overrated. To the lack of adequate snow condition, to the constant snow making during peak time which covers you in ice and gives you low visibility. We literally did one run and we were covered in ice. To the run down rest area, with lack of seating (appears that many family bring the non-skier family member who reads a book all day and holds tables and seats). The lifts are too slow, the slopes are too short. It is filled with people who have no ski etiquette (I will spare the details) But the icing on the cake is the ski class for kids. $160 for 9a-12:30, the learning area is just a joke. It is just way too small and not very intuitive to learning the appropriate ski techniques. The second area for magic carpet is just silly. There is a slight up grade to when you get off, so the poor kids and adults are getting stuck, and the people behind you keep coming and it easily bottle necks. Then, there isn t really enough of a downgrade to make any progress, which meets down with the entrance of another chairlift. It just makes no sense. Oh of course, you charge me an extra $20 for my daughter to use the skis for the rest of the afternoon, as if you didn t rip me off enough money for the day. The positive is that the ski instructor was quite nice and our daughter did enjoy herself. But at $400 for the day, it is hard to swallow. The conditions were very slick with bare spots, perhaps we didn t pick a good day, but this isn t the first time I ve skied here and I run into the same issues. I gather it may be difficult to keep adequate snow conditions when the weather fluctuates drastically in this area of Pennsylvania. I wish they would wise up and allow 4 hr blocks like they do up north, sometimes 4hrs is just enough. Clocks at the chairlifts would be nice as well so you can tell the time without having to take your gears off and reach for your phone/watch. But hey, I guess when you have no competition in the area, and you re surrounded by a customer base who is used to these conditions, then you might as well charge a premium for mediocre.
Beautiful resort. Great entertainment. Especially when Tim Litvin and The Nature Boys play.
This place is highly over rated . Uncomfortable beds , high food prices , WiFi that that barely works . We ate at a local restaurant and got twice as much food for the same price as one meal from there . The wooden steps that a person has to walk up and down outside are worn out and dangerous . The only thing that was good was the free coffee in the morning .
I am an annual passholder and I love this mountain! But unfortunately it is poorly managed, and The Grooming can be treacherous. Not only is it poor grooming but it seems to take Seven Springs longer to groom than most nearby resorts including Snowshoe West Virginia. Snowshoe West Virginia has almost the same skiable Terrain, with longer runs, and they always seem to have no trouble whatsoever grooming the entire Mountain overnight. I'm sure the time is coming for me to stop spending my money at Springs.
It's a great place if you like the kind of things you can do there.
Go on a low volume and get be ready to ski as soon as the slopes open. By afternoon it's ice and snow piles.
Great resort for skiing however not much to do around
I come here for the winter tubing and the summer activities. There is tons to do. I recommend the alpine slide and the summer tubing. The bowling lanes are really nice and modern looking. The minigolf is ok but I prefer outdoor minigolf more. The biggest downside is the resort is hard to navigate. One of the staff members even said they had a hard time getting around
I had been to Seven Springs as a kid and was excited to go back - until I read some reviews about the service. I have to say that I don't know where they hid all the rude staff this busy holiday weekend, but we did not find any. From the time we checked in, the staff was helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Today, we wanted to ski for a while before leaving so the bell staff got my stuff, went to get my car from valet parking, loaded it up with my gear and reparked it. I didn't even have to pack my car! (Thanks Alex!)
The resort was just like I remembered it from 30 years ago - which I suppose could be a turn-off to someone hoping for a trendy, upscale place. The food was decent, the atmosphere great and the activities were varied and fun for all ages. We went skiing, snow tubing, and bowling. We skied early and late to avoid the crowds on the slopes. There is something for every age to do - they have a game room, roller rink, and restaurants and bars for the older crowd too.
People complained about the cost - but for all you get I think it is about right.
Short runs, crowded, but that's what you have to expect from PA mountains
Been here a few times before...always a good time. SEVERELY Disappointed with this trip...
Purchased their Cyber Monday package (as I usually do) back in November.
Checked in today at 4pm for my Sunday thru Thursday trip, only to learn that the lifts close at 7pm today (Sunday) and 4pm during the week.
To add insult to injury, bartender at Foggy Goggle just informed me they will ALSO be closing at 7pm.
So what am I supposed to do here...??
Edit: Tuesday morning, NO breakfast buffet....instead, buffet ticket gets you up to $12 from a breakfast menu....which doesnt cover much. A cup of coffee alone is $2.00.... After hearing us grumble at the table, the waitress told is we could have whatever we wanted from the breakfast menu and the meal voucher would cover it.....so that's a plus.
We used to go every year, but then they jacked up their prices almost twofold this year. I can guarantee that the prices they give are *not worth it*, even if it's your first time skiing on this mountain. As much as I love this resort, the slopes just simply aren't good enough to justify the price. You'd be much happier traveling to a different resort and at least getting your money's worth for the experience.
Love the whole place and the mountains experience in the winter or summer months
