Lots of decent food. Good skiing and Mt bike trails. Update the indoor golf and do something with the tennis court area and you'll get one more star.
Great sceneries. Skiing, spa and plenty of food options. My room was superb with a fabulous view of the ski slopes.
The best place to ski within 2 hours of Pittsburgh, but that's really not saying much. Way over priced.
Place has excellent slopes with shuttle from the large parking lots striaght to the lifts. However, the process of renting equipment and get slightly confusing. I'd suggest arriving early to rent.
There were many things to do even with no snow. There was an Alpine slide, mountain bike rides, a hay ride, rock climbing, a children's maze and many craft and food vendors. Also there were live bands through out the venue continuously. If you ever go there on a Friday, be sure to get the sea food buffet. It's the best you will ever have,
The fog was overwhelming this year, but obviously no one can really control that. Besides that, the snow was great and their terrain park, as always, is top-notch. Room and food we're good too. Would recommend a visit to anyone. Plus, I should mention that they have other activities as well, bowling, a pool, hot tub, roller skating, mini golf... I've done all of those as well and they're all kept in nice shape. Heard the golf is nice but have never gone
Best snowboarding place I've ever been. That includes all the places out in Colorado.
This place SUCKS! On the website it said that there was supposed to be 35 inch snow depth. 35 inches MY ASS every human could visibly see the grass through the three inches of slush that covered the slope. I bought a drink, a slice of pizza and some fries totaling up to NINETEEN DOLLARS!!! On top of that I bought tickets from 9:00-4:00 but because of the incredibly useless system for ski and snowboard rentals I didn't get on the slopes until 10:30. In order to rent your snowboard you first must sign this extremely long information slip that basically does nothing but create another long line for people to get through. Next you must go through a line SPECIFICALLY for getting your snowboard which is attended by 1 person ONLY!!! Each person takes 5-9 minutes to get his snowboard once at the head of the line but the line is constantly over 15 people long. Once you are done getting your snowboard the BRILLIANT makers of seven springs decided that it would be too hard for a worker to once he has delivered their snowboard or skis to the costumer that they must go into a completely separate line in order to get the right size helmet now this line is DOUBLE the size of the ski or snowboarding rental place because there is only on worker attending to ALL the costumers. Don't forget the fact that this place doesn't clean the snowboard boots or ski boots which became quite obvious just by walking near the sections for the boots and not being able to avoid the rancid smell of foot fungus. Not only do these boots STANK but also they aren't up to date with the norm of having boa lacing systems this place only Has their tattered laces which provide absolutely no support. In total I believe you should never come to this place it was a totally waste of time I will never come to this place again!
Customer service was nonexistent, was stuck waiting in lobby for 4 hours.. could have driven to holiday valley in the amount of time spent waiting.
I want to start off by saying that almost all of the staff we encountered here were great. There were maybe 2 staff who seemed to be in sour moods and really let it show. My husband and I went up for a weekend for a family wedding. There were rooms blocked off for the guests at a 'group rate,' but even that was expensive. The room was okay but I would have rather stayed at a Holiday Inn for cheaper. We got an all day activity pass one day...it's actually a decent deal and fun. But nothing I would want to do again for a while. The food is insanely expensive and it is nothing special. I know this is a 'resort,' but the prices are so inflated and insane for a place that is straight out of the 80's. Go somewhere better if you are visiting the area... Log Cabin Lodge and Suites is great and affordable.
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms are beautiful. Only slight negative is that the TVs are small and dated.
In winter, it offers the best skiing in mid Atlantic region, but it does not come close to the skiing in the West. Summers are beautiful, with cool evenings even in heat waves.
We visited in the summer so I can't speak to the winter experience. The really long hallways made me think of the Shining - sorry! We had some good food and some not so good food in the restaurant. I can highly recommend the breakfast buffet. If you are in the bar you must try the soft pretzels.
Beautiful resort, very friendly and accommodating staff.
This place has so much potential, but it is so dated. So many updates are needed and so much regular maintenance needs done. I felt like my wife and I paid a premium price for an all day activities pass, and got ripped off. Very disappointed. Will probably never be back unless updates are done. The scenery is breathtaking in the fall, but again, the facilities are dated.
Awful ski resort, prices way to high for a small hill. I dont ski but my sister does and she said the prices are way to high for the entertainemnt you get. As i said before im not a skier so usually I do work in the ski lodge but there is NO WIFI. Save your self the time and go to Whitetail or Liberty way better enviorment then this place. Never coming again!
I have been a regular at Seven Springs for 40 years and even got married in Helen's restaurant 20 years ago which was the best day of my life so far. However, most of the reasons for my affection for Springs have vanished. Once family owned and operated, it has now become a sickening monument to corporate ideology and greed. Gone are all the genuinely happy faces of the competent staff and in their place, sad zombie drones who's only goal is to make you go away so they need not do their job. From the top down, this is a very sad state of affairs. I wish no one bad luck, but I would not be upset if the new owners lost their shirt and sold out to someone who knows how to run a welcoming resort.
I was there for a conference which was probably very hectic. I wish there had been more staff available to help direct us but the housekeepers were fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and all the amenities were wonderful. A great place to go and relax/have a good time. Glad I purchased a souvenir!
Big time prices for lift tickets, than they make snow everyday during skiing hours to the point you cant see 3 ft in front of you. for 1/2 the way down most slopes. This place is great when they have all slopes open but when you go 3 diffrent times and cant see when you get of the lift to go down any of the slopes its not worth the money or time. Ski report is not accurate. Update charges 90$ for a lift ticket for only 1/4 of the mountain being open. Rip off
The best resort that is within a reasonable distance to Pittsburgh. Skiing is dependant on the varying weather. Somewhat expensive.
I've been skiing here for 24 years. Prices have tripled for lift tickets over that time, but they've also improved the experience every year. Best skiing in PA!
This place SUCKED! I really can't believe how disappointed I am with this place. Now from what I understand this place used to be fantastic, what a shame to let such a beautiful place go to crap with high prices and rude staff. I don't know ,maybe I was just expecting it to be different than what it was, but my overall opinion is very poor of this place. I would not recommend this resort to anyone
Great ski resort. So beautiful inside. Alot of things to do up there. An awesome pizza place inside. Very warm & cozy inside the lodge. Great tubing hills. Nothing negative to say!
Had a really good time with my son daughter in law and granddaughter.
Seven Springs Customer Service, employee integrity, and management capabilities are equally below standards in the ski industry.
You cannot enter into the main lodge through any entrance without enjoying some second hand smoke, usually from restaurant workers and food handlers working for seven springs resort. if not, most likely other employees from around the resort. The main entrances are also covered yet the resort still supplies ash trays and encourages smoking. Its one of the few places my toddlers have inhaled second hand smoke ever. If you are lucky your waiter or waitress will even smell of smoke in case you missed out while entering the building.
Unfortunately this place has gone downhill, especially some of the front desk staff. We have been taking our kids to Autumnfest every October for the past 15 years, along with other family members. As much as we want to keep the tradition, we won't be returning.
Quality skiing when the weather allows it with a great set of lodges and indoor areas for when a break is needed.
Did the summer snow tubing. Was fun but a bit of a let down
My husband and I Went to Timber for the mountain burger. I was disappointed they did not have it. So I ordered the Wagner burger instead. When the waitress brought out the sandwich the bun was bloody. Because the burger was rare not well done. I sent the burger back you could hear the cook in the back he was not happy with me. and when my sandwich finally came out the sandwich was good but the French fries were old and cold.
Good ski resort, several lifts and varying degrees of slopes for all experience levels.
Great fun at the mother Earth fair at Seven Springs.
Nice slopes. Good terrain parks. Parking is laid out HORRIBLY as if a child picked it. You have to get carded, stamped, and braceleted by a cop at the back door(slope side entrance) to the bar if you want to drink?
Awesome food and bartenders were VERY attentive.
Descent summer activities. Love the bike park. Just a little pricey.
Place is great and I would like to leave 5 stars but everytime I ve stayed here I ve had problems with my card being charged twice, hot tub reservation issues 3+ times now... things not working in the room. I want to love this place but I d rather stay in another hotel.
There was too much walking for an old lady to get from her room to the meetings she had to attend. It was my first visit there and I didn't know enough to request a closer room.
Nice resort, went to the Mother Earth News Fair in 2015 can't wait to go again in 2016.
If you re a brand new, first-time skier (I can t speak for snowboarder), steer clear of Seven Springs.
I came here with a group of friends for three days. It was my first time skiing (while my friends had skied/snowboarded before, some beginner, some advanced) so I signed up for a group lesson. My instructor Randy was a nice person, but he was a horrible instructor. I started off super excited and ready to learn, but quickly realized I was in trouble. During my hour and a half lesson I asked lots of questions (specific questions like how do I do X or Y or what happens if Z ) and never once did he give me an answer or any actual tips or advice. Throughout the lesson, his method of teaching was to do a skill/model a skill for us and then tell us to do the same thing - no advice or tips for how you actual do it or if you were having trouble, some strategies to work around that etc. I m a relatively athletic person so did not expect to have any trouble, but his complete lack of real instruction or teaching was extremely frustrating and disappointing and by the end of the lesson, I essentially gave up because I knew I wasn t going to get any actual guidance or teaching. This put a damper on the rest of my trip and when I went out the second day to try again, all that frustration and lack of confidence to safely conquer even the bunny slopes after learning practically nothing in my lesson hindered me from trying again. I would have done another lesson with a different instructor but I d already spent so much money getting the appropriate gear for the trip, paying for rental skis/poles/boots and lift tickets, and paying for the first lesson that I couldn t in good conscience spend any more money. I gave it one last go the third day after watching some YouTube videos that were much more helpful than the lesson I paid for, but by this time I was so far behind my friends who were out on the slopes. This fun friend trip I d been excited for ended up being the worst possible first ski experience for me.
Nice resort, friendly for beginners in ski and snowboard
Wonderful staff, beautiful property, and tons of things to do. Everything is top notch, is there anything more I need to say? This is truly one of my favorite places to visit I highly recommend it!
Went in the summer, ran out of time to do everything, just an amazing place.
Perfect family experience. The Adventure staff is incredibly nice and helpful.
My wife and I come here yearly for our anniversary. During the summer, it is not crowded, but offers multiple areas to walk, relax, dine, and reconnect. It is also in close proximity to several Frank Lloyd Wright homes, which are fascinating to tour. I always return from this trip refreshed and energized.
Stayed one night and went hiking. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Overall I do think I will be returning again.
A lot of things to do with the adventure pass. All of the people were very helpful and friendly, from the shuttle bus drivers to the employees running the various attractions. A special shout out to the ones who stayed past closing time to let my daughter do the eurobungee and rock climbing wall!
This is the third time staying here. Two times for a conference, one time for fly fishing on their private lakes and streams. Pinpoints of the third trip Super secret. You understand, right?
Great for a day trip or a weekend during the summer. Zipline tour is outstanding. Alpine slide is fun. Food is great.
Easy to get to. Even in a crowded event parking is good and shuttles are frequent.
Great resort! A nice getaway! A lot you can do and experience!
Terrible experience. Walked forever to and from the only place to stay. No hot tubs (as advertised). They actually wanted me to pay to use the hot tub . All bars close at 10:00. No fun whatsoever... food and drink is very poor . I will never go here again! I've been to a lot of ski resorts in my life and this one is by far the worst. I would never recommend the ski resort to anybody .
This is very good entertaining and enjoying mountain resort
This is a great resort to stay and visit all year round. It's a popular winter destination, but we love it in summer too.
The location is huge and just engulfed in nature - cannot get enough of it. We usually stay in the villas up the mountain - which are great for family and friends. There are plenty of lakes a little ponds all over.
We had our event catered by the resort who took great care of us and the catered banquet was superb.
Tons of outdoor activities to choose from - organized ones or just go for a hike in the wilderness.
While you're there (in summer), try the Alpine slide or the zip lining - both the short and long versions are great.
Seven Springs has fallen off. When I came here three years ago, I had an absolutely fantastic experience. This time, the showers were not in good condition. When it comes to service, the waiting staff in the restaurants were slow to react and inefficient. The food was not nearly as good as it was three days ago, but the omelet dude is still there. The slopes are still fantastic, however.
Spent the weekend here with my boys. Many options avalible. Year round activities. Lots of food options. Seafood buffet Friday night is great. Get here and enjoy if you can.
We are here nearly every weekend ... summer, winter, spring and fall. A getaway to the mountains close to home.
One of my favorite places to be. Although the prices are little steep any more so I get to go skiing once a year .
This place is nice. Some things are starting to get old and need replaced. Overall a good experience.
I was suprised how much there was to do here in the fall (not ski season). Hiking, mountain biking, shooting, harvest festival, decent restaurants, alpine slide, spa, and more.
Awesome place and great service. Lots to do and see. Can't wait to go back
Our favorite ski lodge to visit in the Midwest. Prices are comparable to other (much smaller) locations. Great choices for your day or weekend. Highly recommend!
This is one of the best places to visit for fun during the whole year! Great food & people to be around!!
I had a great time here.Even during the spring it is fun to come here.
