It started out simple enough. I applied via linked in went through the entire process without a hitch. background check, verified. Drug test, verified. 3 different interviews. Then they told me that I was their choice. They assigned me an apartment because I'd be living on site. So at that point, I put in my 2 weeks notice with my previous job and started setting up for my new life in California. I packed up my whole life and got on the road a week before my start date as confirmed by 2 different HR staff. 2 days into my move and I was 3 states away from my origin of North Carolina. It was at this point that I get a voice mail from the Jr. HR rep that they had changed their mind. I tried to call them to verify, to see what I could do to help rectify any problems. I tried to contact every single person I had any contact with and they just shunned me. No one would speak to me in any format. Meanwhile, my choices were to continue to California where I have no job and no home OR I could go back to North Carolina where I have no home and no job. the truck and gas ran me $1700 and the hotel stays cost me $400. When I got back to North Carolina all I could do literally live in my truck for the next couple of days. A month (November) later I loose everything I own in the truck and was literally living on the street with my dog. After grinding for months. working 2 minimum wage jobs. and living in a tent I got finally got back to square 1. Today I accepted a job offer out in san Francisco.
This company ruined my life and didn't even offer an explanation. I strongly advise against pursuing a career opportunity with this company.
PS the person they did hire for the position had 0 out of 5 of the certifications I had and 1/3 of the experience. SO it wasn't even based on the fact that they found a better candidate.
