Segway Fun Rome Review

The most amazing tour experience I ve had in Europe! So fun, so interesting, and Jirka was an incredible guide!! I highly recommend it :)

Loved it! Was our first time on segways, so we had our doubts, but we got a brief training and everything went smoothly afterwards. The stuff was extra friendly and helpful, accommodating all our needs and wishes; the guide Leo very charismatic. Would love to come back for a bigger tour.

I took this segway tour yesterday and I have to say it was one of the best tour experiences I have had in a long time. The office was very centrally located, and the booking and payment procedures were very seamless. Our guide Jirka was very friendly and also gave us a very thorough lesson on how to ride the segway safely. He took us around most of Rome's main attractions and gave us interesting facts and information about everything. I highly recommend taking this tour as your go all around Rome, and you aren't even tired. Also Jirka took us to a great spot at the end from where we had an amazing view of the Roman Forum. Got some great pictures on the way!

SO MUCH SEGWAY FUN. My partner and I visited Rome at the end of January, both for the first time, and had pre-booked our tickets for the segway tour before we left the UK. What an amazing way to explore an incredible city and get our bearings on day 1 - we also lucked out by being the only 2 people on the tour so we had the lovely Jirka all to ourselves. Jirka was a fantastic guide and segway expert - with me being slightly nervous initially about using the segway - he made me feel confident from the beginning. Jirka also knew his stuff about the beautiful city and we learnt lots of interesting and obscure facts as we were cruising our way around. Jirka also gave us some great tips on restaurants and places to visit! We cannot recommend this tour enough - it was our favourite of the whole trip!!!!! Thank you Jirka - first class.

We have done the Segway tour 3 times with Ali and will continue to book with this company every time we come to Rome! The tours are fantastic and we have never taken the same route twice....always nice to see new parts of Rome. Ali takes great concern with your safety and is incredibly knowledgeable of every place you go. This will be one of the most fun things you do on your stay in !!!

Without a doubt, the best way to get a complete Roman experience. The tour is amazing and includes all the landmarks. The team is freindly and the tour leader is knowledgeable about the city's history and secrets, most importantly: he provides indications on where eat good Italian food or hang-out like a local. A fantastic experience !

Thanks to Jiri we had wonderfull sightseeing tour in Rome on September 28, 2018.

Victoria is the best. We were running late, so we called and she kindly waited for us. She shared tons of historical and current facts in our tour, more than I can remember. She was kind and patient. She did great looking out for us. The tour felt comfortable, both, in pace and amount of sites we visited. This is a must, especially if you have a short time in Rome.

It is a different way of seeing and traveling. They have schedules in the morning, afternoon and evening (even on Sunday and in winter!).

We recently did our 8th segway tour in Europe at segway fun Rome. Jose our guide did an excellent job both in his explanation of the sights and his focus on our safety. If you're going to segway in Rome, we highly recommend segway fun Rome and ask for Jose.

After I got down from the airport I book a hotel and instantly got in touch with Segway fun Rome for the grand city tour, I was overwhelmed with the response I got from them. The guide helped me in exploring Rome with the fellow segway riders. It was an amazing experience to cherish for a lifetime.

Astonishing experience! Everithing was perfect, we saw all the important sightseeings. Jirka was great guide, really friendly and pleasant, he told us many facts about Rome and each monument. Had a good time!

When visiting Rome, there are so many sights to see! The public transport is not great and getting around involves lots of walking. So what better way to nip around the city to all the top attractions than on a Rome Segway Tour!

We chose to go with Segway Fun Rome on their Grand City Tour (EUR70) which is a 3 hour tour covering 12.3km of Rome! We met at their offices in Piazza del Teatro di Pompeo at 10am to start our tour.

Our group was made up of 7 segwayers. Before the tour, we were given training on how to use the segways in the Piazza which was helpful for weaving in and out of the tourists we would encounter! You are also given a bottle of water to stay hydrated in the hot Rome sun and a little bag on the front of your Segway to hold your personal belongings.

Driving a Segway is all about balance. To go forward you literally move your body forward and you will go! To stop you pull your body back to straight. It was a little daunting at first but once we started going, I felt so confident!

Our first stop was Piazza Novona and our guide, Jirka, filled us in on the history behind the architecture of the fountain and church. At each stop we could take pictures (and you can take your helmet off!).

Our next stop was the Vatican where we had time to take photos in front of St Peter s Basilica. This would usually take 45 minutes to walk to from the centre so a segway is a great way to visit.

We then visited the Trevi Fountain (with an obligatory gelato stop!) and the Spanish steps. We were given slightly longer here which gave us time to climb the steps and take in the views.

We then zipped across the city to the Colosseum before visiting the Roman Forum from a viewpoint. What an absolute treat.

Jirka was a great guide throughout providing us with facts at each location whilst also allowing us time to take pictures and take in the sights. Overall, a Rome Segway Tour is a fantastic way to see all of the sights of Rome (and to save your tired legs) in a really fun way. Segway Fun were great and we will definitely be doing a Segway tour in future!

We went on a Rome night tour and had the best time. Jikra was our tour guide and he was so helpful, patient, fun and nice! 10/10 would recommend, great way to get a lay of the city on our first day.

Wow! the most memorable event in Rome. Just riding for the first time was so much fun; and we saw all the major sites along the way. All the guides are great, especially Jose who led us, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

Great way to see Rome! So much enjoyed seeing most of Rome on segways at our first evening and then we picked our favourite spots and saw them again. If you happen to have Jirka (hard to pronounce though) as your guide, you will be laughing a lot too :-). Very much to be recommended and it is worth the money.

Today I had a great experience with Segway Fun Rome. My tour guide, Ali, was awesome. He presented me the city and history of Rome perfectly. He was very cool, funny guy and professional for taking the fantastic photos. It was very nice to know him.

This Segway tour of Rome was awesome! This was the first time we had been on a Segway tour and it was soooo fun! Our tour guide was adorable, she did a wonderful job taking us to all the highlights of Rome and she was full of knowledgeable information. I would definitely recommend this company!

Small walk in Rome at night very nice. The journey may seem short but in reality sufficient to take full view.
Edi is an excellent guide who knows a lot. He is attentive available for any questions and takes time with everyone.

We were a little group which segwayed in the narrow lanes through Rome. We saw a lot of sights and got some tips to take a closer look at special places, also there was a recommendation for great ice cream :) Our guide Ali was communicative, funny and with him we all felt safe on the segway after his introduction. Thanks for this experience!

very interesting trip, you must not be discouraged by the segway, since after 5 minutes you learn to handle it naturally and the path is designed to maximize comfort ..... almost three hours tour in the main places of interest in the center of this wonderful city, from piazza Navona to the pantheon, trevi fountain, the coliseum and the capitol, up to campo dei fiori .... the guide was prepared, both on the most touristic and historical and political aspects of the monuments .... only drawback the price! 70 euros ..

It was so much fun on the segways,we have seen most ikonic places of Rome in one afternoon and then it was easy to choose,where to return by foot.And the guide was the best..just be carefull when you go up the hill..

This company is fantastic!! We had a superb few days in Rome with our teenage son. Whilst there we booked with Segway Fun Rome, but unfortunately the guide had a problem and the tour had to be cancelled. HOWEVER, Lorenzo could not have done more for us. He refunded us immediately, rescheduled a trip for the next day and did everything they could. Sometimes it is how a company behaves when there is a problem, not when everything runs smoothly, that really says a lot for their customer service ethos. We were incredibly impressed. The tour itself was engaging, interesting and took us through parts of the city that we would never have found on our own. It was a lot of fun, and was the highlight of our 15 year old son s trip. Couldn t recommend Segway Fun Rome highly enough.

I was in Rome last month. Its absolutely fabulous place! Loved it and the most lively thing about Rome is the Segways. Enjoyed the ride a lot! Would love to visit Rome again in future just for the fun that I had travelling on a segway.

It was a an unexpected experience. I ve never been on a Segway before. The guide was very helpful and reassuring and after few minutes I could enjoy my trip to the fullest. We covered entire city and the guide s comments were always on point. It s definitely a recommendation!

The best and easiest way to visit the city.
I was a bit scared by the segway at first, but I got used of it pretty much soon at the beginning of the tour. Our tour leader Lorenzo has been a fantastic tour guide. I would suggest this experience to any tourist who is going to visit Rome.

Best time our family has had on our holiday. Jirka our tour guide was fantastic, a wealth of information and great guide. The tour took us to interesting sights and even though the streets were crowded with people and cars Jirka guided us through confidently and safely.
I strongly recommend doing it.

The guide was very nice and knew almost everything. The office is located in the city centre so you don t have to walk once far once you finish the tour.

First time in Rome and in just a few hours I saw everything! From the Spanish steps to the colosseum. Our tour guide Jirka was phenomenal!!!! He was very friendly and as a tourist, I felt completely safe with him. He made our safety a huge priority which made the experience that much better. I am so glad I did this tour! I recently had the pleasure to do a tour with Segway Fun Rome. It was 1.5 hours long. (I would def like to try the 3 hour tour next time.) Seeing Rome by Segway was not only a lot fun but relaxing as well. Our guide Jirka was very knowledgeable about the history of the sights he took us to and was very friendly and personable. I will definitely be back again to do the longer tour.

It was a fantastic experience. I ve been in Rome many times but this time I got to see places that I had never seen in my previous trips. Ali, our tour guide, was very professional, charming and helpful. The company offers different very nice tours but I strongly recommend the three hour night tour. It is totally worth it.

I want my own Segway, although the streets of Chattanooga are nothing compared to the back alleys of Rome. It s a great way to see huge chunks of this beautiful city, without killing your feet. We will definitely book again when we bring our friends with us in February

The warm hospitality of the tour guide and his knowledge about different places in Rome was very educational. He did not hurry with the sightseeing rather he was very cooperative with each one of us.
