Really nice performing theatre for the arts in the OC. Lovely setting. Lots of parking in the structure but we chose to Uber expecting some chaos but it was not too bad. The auditorium itself is wonderful. Opera style seating with balconies at upper levels looking like great spots if you can afford them. We got seating in the center, a few rows from the stage and it was great. Overall great place.

Beautiful venue in Orange County in the City of Costa Mesa. Not only that, but quality musicals are performed here. Why the two stars? Well, because if you're hefty (over 200 lbs.) and/or disabled, good luck. The seats in the theatre remind of of being on a Southwest Airlines flight, and I don't mean first-class either. You are squeezed in there pretty tight. I'm not hefty by any means, but I was uncomfortable. My husband, who weighs over 200 lbs., was uncomfortable enough that he didn't enjoy the musical. Sad. Also, stairs everywhere. Good luck if you're disabled and cannot walk (we aren't disabled). Makes me mad that greed plays a part in squeezing folks in there - more people, more money. We won't return.

For a night on the town, we visited the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa to see Jimmie Buffett's Escape To Margaritaville musical. The musical was lively and fantastic which was a perfect fit for the Segerstrom Center. The staff was friendly, welcoming and added to the overall experience.

Great theater and performances here but they wouldn't scan tickets on phones making so many people late for the show and cash only for parking and concessions. C'mon people it's the 21st Century. Who knows maybe their systems were just down today but I would call ahead or give yourself enough time in case you are also forced to visit will call.

"On Your Feet " very good musical! Choreography could have used more originality I feel instead of the repetitive salsa steps.Needs Derek Hough! But other than that great. This venue is fabulous for any show, however.

Champagne in a plastic cup is sparkling wine in a cup - nevertheless it is a wonderful way to start a fall evening performance of La Bayadere by the Mariinsky Ballet. The staff is professional, knowledgeable about the performance and always smiling. I look forward each year to the start of the ballet season. The outdoor patio area, is a place to sip sparkling wine and soak in the ambiance of a fall evening.

Valet parking is $25.00 cash as of October 25th, but they are quick to bring your car around.

We went to see Dear Evan Hansen. The cast did a fine job, the music was enjoyable, and the seats (although far to the right and some ways up from the stage) had a good view and excellent sound.

Absolutely great place. Tickets are somewhat pricey, but if you are full time student or senior citizen (above 65 years old) you can get tickets for just $20 (cash only) for some shows. Tremendous cultural place. It was expanded recently and outdoor performances were added in the expanded venue).

Great place for an evening out, a date night, or just check a live performance like a concert, play, musical, etc. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Drinks are reasonably priced (not cheap though). I've seen 6 shows here and would recommend. It seems that a ton of people park at SCP which I imagine they will crack down on. You're walking distance to a ton of places to get a bite or drink before or after show: Vaca, Mastros, Leatherbys, etc.

Love this theatre! Is a great performance Hall. I have seen a few plays here and there is not a bad seat in the house but if you get the chance sit in the orchestra section a few rows back and you with have an outstanding experience. Highly recommend it.

There isn't a bad seat in this place. It has a nice atmosphere and the performance was great. Staff was friendly. Great family outing, highly recommend.

Update: went back for Phantom of the Opera. The production was amazing. Really is worth the money!

Be ashamed of your self for patronizing this theater.
Band members had to pay 10 or 20 for parking depending on where they went.
Band members were not paid.
Band members were never compensated.

What are we teaching students? Why not just give band members a free ticket... to any of your performances so that they can have a learning experience. I know you have money though. All those nice cars and over priced parking.

Band members worked to get there, worked to stay warm, worked to load equipment, work to communicate with sounds crew, worked to maintain lighting on stage, and worked to learn the music at a level that serves the audience. Imagine if it had actually started to rain in the middle of the performance.

Band members paid to park. Even if parking is validated later it still does not help musicians obligated to be there while struggling to put food on their table.
Besides purchasing parking, bandmembers also purchased drinks at your concessions. Bandmembers also brought people who also dropped money on your concessions.

Shameful! You act like a bar. We made you look good. We made you look like you actually support arts. We made it look like you care for students and education.

Put your money where your mouth is and support the arts with critical thinking and try to come from service.

It would have been spectacular seeing as how wed gotten there early yet had to circle the parking lot for 19 minutes trying to find a spot then the ticket attendants that we were on the phone with while in the parking lot, refusing to switch our tickets to a different day so we could see the entire show *while offering the later showing in the day at the same time so I'm not sure the difference if they were already willing to switch the showing itself to later in the day even though it was only a literal few moments into the show starting . But. That being said what we were able to see of the show was very impressive and lovely...just started on a very sour note sadly...

It is a great venue. Park at the mall nearby to avoid expensive parking fees. There are a lot of stairs to take if depending on where you're sitting. The main stairwell will be packed once your show is over. Wait a bit before you leave or if you're on the upper floors, exit out through the cafe.

Beware of the ticket provider "TICKETS AND FUN" located in Boca Raton Floriday. I went on line to buy my tickets and how I ended up with this company is my fault; however, it was the first time I had bought tickets to this venue. The show was the The Book of Morman. We paid $574 for two tickets that were four rows from the top. My husband is a little hard of hearing and could not hear anything that far away. I can hear perfectly and I still missed a lot of punch lines. The show was excellent and would have been fantastic if we had good seats. If you are going to this theatre I recommend you seat as close as possible because the theatre is too large to adequately hear from the nose bleed seats. When I was talking to the ticket provided I asked for the best available seats. Like I said shame on me but if I save one person from being burned I would be pleased.

Beautiful building. Every seat seemed like a good seat. I went with my wife to see Aladdin the musical. Be prepared to pay.... for everything. Parking is $12 for events, drinks are $15, they do allow you to bring them inside. Bathrooms are well maintained but there will be a line during any intermission. I will be going again

Nice theater in a great location. We have been able to see several outstanding performances here. The most recent was the national touring company "Come From Away" which was indeed outstanding. There are a wide selection of eateries nearby to make it a complete evening experience.

I and my three friends went there to watch a tap dance show which named the Dorrance Dance before a month ago. At first, I really love this show, that's amazing. I've never imagined tap dancing would take on so many forms of article expression until I saw it. I was deeply moved by the choreography, the excellent dancing skills of the actors and their full emotions. Besides, I really like this place. The whole building is beautiful, especially in the light at night that's really stunning! I would definitely come back.

The design of the center is such that some seats have limited views, but these seats are not listed under "partial blocked view". We asked steward, Dana, whether we could move a few seats down, as they were unoccupied and in the same category. He simply refused. My husband asked again, but he said no, they belong to me. We did not really understand what he meant, till later, we saw that he and another sterwardess were sitting there during the performance. Wish we could taken a picture of that.
