This is a wonderful bookstore, really part of the established culture and diversity of the area that I love. No other bookstore in the area offers the personalized access to literature provided by the owners. My wife and I have enjoyed the social and intellectual events such as book signings by renowned authors that the bookstore has sponsored.

These women love to carry gossip, true or not,so be careful what you let be known. It's no wonder it's their 4th location in just a couple years. Don't go by hours of business posted on door either, they get there whenever they feel like it.Not at all impressed by this establishment.

I thought that we had lost our bookstore in Middleburg but it had simply moved up the way, on the main road, almost opposite Safeway. Every town needs a book store. Come in and visit and support the store. They sell new and used books. The service is charming. The choices are great. $5 for a hardcover second hand book is a bargain.

Stopped here on a very cold Sunday morning a couple of weeks ago, a few minutes before the shop opened. The owner (?) came out to get her NYTimes. We asked if she was open today and she barked, "not until eleven thirty" (it was eleven twenty-seven). Since she looked like she was struggling picking up the bin of newspapers, one of us asked if she needed help bringing the bin in and she said "No" in a very abrupt manner, turned her back to us and then went into her shop. We opted to keep walking, she didn't seem to interested in us patronizing her store. Very unfriendly and no plans to go back.

They made great suggestions and were very supportive as my children picked out books. They were attentive and helped teach my children how to handle the books carefully which I appreciated.

Not a kid friendly store. Salesperson was extremely hostile. She felt the need to glare at our children while they quietly looked at books and then correct the way my son was turning the page. If you do bring kids, ensure they are in a level four biohazard suit and capable of turning pages with an antique page turning wand.
