This hotel is nice but has gone downhill. There are scuffs on walls in all the rooms (4) our family stayed in. Staff were great but the prices to quality ratio is not right. Sound travels a lot from weddings hosted and the golf course was closed. Apart from that staff great food great just a little over priced.

We do afternoon tea here every New Yrs Eve and are never disappointed. Hotel is pure luxury, staff are super friendly and welcoming, food is delicious and the atmosphere is so relaxing. Exactly what you want in a home away from home

Have always loved Seafield as a hotel . But this time found the rooms dirty and the hotel has become grubby .
The Spa is the main attraction here and although staff were as pleasant as ever tye Spa itself has becime grubby and neglected . I understand its a huge trade amd always busy but for the prices been charged more effort needs to be made in all areas . I wont return again .

We stopped in for lunch while out for the day, I had apptiser of chicken wings and a small portion of sweet potato fries, priced 19.00 my friends had a small portion of fish and chips 19.00 and 15.50 for a small portion of chicken and chips suppose a quoted of chicken.
bar food at gourmet prices.

Had dinner, which was very over-priced and was just okay. 32 for a 4oz (the size is not advised on the menu) Fillet Steak is ridiculous. I expected 8oz for that price, the portion was completely inadequate. 5 of us ate and the consensus was the same; far too expensive for what we got. Service was excellent and the setting is beautifully decorated. Unlikely we'll be back unless they offer better value.

Had an alright time here. The food was 3 star rating. I ordered garlic bread to start which turned out to be a half a pizza base. As for my burger, there was a tang of sour meat. It just wasn't what I would expect in a 4 star hotel bar. The food should be of a better standard. The Spa area I thought was 4 star as was the walk to the beach. Also nice beach walks in Courttown and Ballymoney

Excellent example of Ireland s reasonably priced 4 star hotel & spa with beautiful parklands walkways & superb beach access only 5 minutes walk from the hotel on its own grounds, well worth a visit.

No air conditioning, you cannot leave the windows open due to safety concerns and the fan provided by the hotel we had to clean ourselves. Some of the spa features were too hot and mould in the sauna turned me off. Many staff members we met complained about how they were scared about some of the clientele staying at the hotel, perhaps that is why some staff members we met seemed angry and why hotel guests were greeted at the hotel by the armed response unit of the Gardai. The food and drink was overpriced.
The beach walk was nice. The breakfast was very good. The treatments in the spa were good.

Lovely setting. But drinks in the bar are very expensive and no Tia Maria available for residents at 11.30 ! - Obviously staff were too lazy to go to the store downstairs. Also, no tea/coffee available for residents, who wanted some other beverage instead of the Tia Maria. Why ? oh why ? oh why ? It was annoying, especially after paying 225 for B&B on checking out the following morning. ! But, I will still go back because I really enjoyed everything else.

This place is absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a nice get away. Seafield is the place . Everything about here is magical. The food is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are excellent. The staff are so pleasant and very efficient. The view from our hotel is stunning. The spa is out of this world with the beautiful aromatherapy steam room and outdoor heated pool. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Seafield for making our stay so beautiful.. We are very grateful.......

Stayed here on the 7th of July. Lunch brilliant. Spa excellant. Room very good. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately dinner was a total let down. A complete rip off. I had a mushroom starter. Total bowl of slop. The Atlantic cod I had was so small. Nothing else on the plate except for a few splashes of dijon mustardhere and there . The only other thing that came to the table was 2 small bowls of mashed potato. May I add this was for 4 people. Nothing else was offered and as I don't like mash I had nothing else. 30 euro for a piece of fish I could buy in a fish shop for around 6 euro. 14 euro for the starter. My advise is eat in the bar not in the restaurant. On a positive note the breakfast was brilliant. The restaurant totally let the place down badly

Super.

The approach to the hotel from the main road on the main road gives the impression of a housing estate/ semi industrial area. The architecture does the estate no favours but the experience overall is actually very good and I will return. I'm not a big spa user but the pool and spa area here are superb and really relaxing. The restaurant food is as good as the best but the space is a little empty and cavernous for my tastes. Expensive wines. The rooms are modern and fairly basic with a tendency to get overheated .Charming staff in all areas. The walk down to the sea is a little treasure- I could do it twice a day every day. Worth a day trip for the excellent coffee and scones in the foyer and a ramble down the woodland path.

Have stayed here many times over the past 10 years. Pool and spa adult only which is great. The rooms and reception area now need some investment in fittings and furnishings. It's still very clean. Hotel staff are wonderful from cleaning, housekeeping, reception, wait staff etc the food in the Village recommended, try the duck pizza and in the Green Room it was just fabulous, definitely recommended.

Not as good as it should be. Given key for the right room with a poorly printed room number on it. Is it an 8 or a 3. Maybe some new ink for the printer. Reception were not very helpful after making my way back downstairs to raise the issue. Aircon was broken in the room also.

Nice enough place, the hotel could do with some updating esp for the price. The spa is very nice but the darkness of some areas hides the areas which needs work. The main highlight of this hotel is the staff. The staff are very friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel and make up for the areas of such which need a little TLC. We had food in the bar which was nice and very lively.

Top Notch! Couldn't Fault it!

Top Notch! Couldn't Fault it!
We've sort of know Seafield was nearby and was something very fancy, but being tucked away in nearly the middle of nowhere it was a huge surprise when we finally went for a little overnight stay.

The spa is sumptuous, the two restaurants were divine (we ate in the bar, being a little more atmospheric and with an excellent menu), rooms were luxurious (massive queen-sized beds) and the staff all friendly and polite.

Will definitely make this a regular trip. Perfect for a romantic trip or a spa weekend.

An absolutely amazing hotel, the hispitality of the staff exceeded all expectations. The spa and thermal suite was the best I've been in, the treatments are well worth the money. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough, even got upgraded to the suite to make for a really special break. Great food, cleanliness, staff hospitality, all round excellence, thank you.

Hotel lobby / bar area is open and relaxed food is a little over priced for the bar. Room was ok standard as with with most hotels.

The spa / pool area on the other hand is what would make me stay again. Really enjoyed it.

Spa was gorgeous, food at the restaurant was top class, the room was very comfortable, and I was very impressed by adherence to hygiene and socially distancing standards. However, what really made the difference for me was the warm atmosphere, and the friendly attitude of all the members of staff I came in contact with. I would highly recommend.

Just spent 3 day midweek break at Seafield . Spa outstanding. Food good and reasonably priced. Furniture in Lobby very dated, worn, and uncomfortable. Bedroom furniture has seen its sell by date.Double bed consisted of two singles beds joined together which devided in the middle.Staff very plesent & helpful. Overall our experience was good.

The Seafield is a gem of a hotel tucked away in the Southeast corner of Ireland. The staff are so helpful and friendly and really cannot do enough to make your stay an enjoyable experience. We were checked in with ease and given a room with More

Overrated - certainly does not meet it s reputation or four star quality. Has potential if room quality and guest service was improved.
Rooms - unbearably hot!! Seems to be consistent amongst reviewers so hard to understand why the issue hasn t been rectified.
Service - poor everywhere bar the main restaurant and spa. One passive aggressive staff member scolded me like a child when I forgot to put my flip flops on by the pool. Barked at me to show some respect! . Appreciate the hotels strict hygiene code but this was pretty disgusting behaviour - I was far from peaceful after my spa afternoon!
Food - restaurant food incredible but bar food and breakfast fell short. Steaks were cremated and the full Irish was cold. Cocktails are overpriced at the bar, it was also difficult to get a decent g&t.
Spa facilities - fantastic , lots of choice even at full capacity. Some pool rules needed at the relaxation beds though, difficult to enjoy when other guests camped for the day!
Location - Excellent, we were lucky the weather was nice and enjoyed the lovely beach walk at the hotels doorstep. Really made up for other downfalls.
Check out - a lot of confusion at reception over the bill, we were over charged for food we did not have and then handed another guests bill.
