Average Haunted House but worth the money. Really liked the hay ride. Great place to take the kids to get them started on HH's

I liked it I reccomend for anyone who has a jumpy friend.

we've been here for the past few years and were pleasantly surprised by the changes this year. some of the actors really go all out and it shows. nearly had a heart attack a few times it was that good. I could go through the haunted house a couple times and still get caught off guard over and over. Amazing job guys! dont miss your chance to get in on this awesomeness!

It's not extremely scary so it's great for kids. You will not piss your pants... unless you're just scared of everything. They're very professional. I went in trying not get scared but one guy got me!

In a time of covid-19 this attraction nailed it when it comes to Haunts. I hope to see this attraction come next year.

We just did the haunted house and paid extra to not wait in line. Took my 13 yr old. Very good scenes and props. Not too scary but worth the time and money. We went all the way thru.

Great mazes this year but come on guys help the hay ride out it could be a lot more with more people

It is still very popular every year and good and all, but all the attractions are mostly the same thing every year.

During these times of covid, obviously things are going to be a bit different. The Scream Zone did a great job at adapting and working with what is safe and doable. The only downfall is, because there is a car in front of you, you can sometimes see what will happen when you get to that point,. But, I still got legitimately scared at least 3 or 4 times, and the actors did a great job of still finding a way to scare you and make you jump. A suggestion to help avoid spoilers of what's ahead, is to look at the props and sets that they built. Don't just watch what's in front of you. Also go with a lighthearted fun frame of mind and take fun friends and family and you will enjoy it! Our carload really enjoyed it,, and felt it was worth it. Great job, Scream Zone. Thank you for bringing on Halloween

Drove 4 hours for this and was absolutely worth it. During Covid season we don t have to many Halloween options and I ve been to a couple that were so expensive and not even worth it. But this right here was great! It s about 30 min long and it s a drive through haunt. The music and actors were really good! Loved all the props and really enjoyed the carnival food they have to offer. You all need to try it out!!!

I wish there would have been more actors so there wouldn't be the same person trying to scare you that you just saw scare the car in front of you. But overall, I didn't have any problems with a long line like the other reviewers had and the sets that you drive through look great!

It was a pretty good scare. I would recommend starting with Karenevil, then the Hayride, and save the House of Horror for last-it's the scariest!

I ll give credit where credit is due, the house of horrors was really fun. I m sure the hay ride and Karnevil are fun as well; however that being said, as someone who loves haunted houses and mazes, the wait time vs time spent inside the house are not worth the money. The staff are friendly and again the house is fun if you can make it in before the scare zone closes. But with such long lines and lack of things to do outside the different scare zones, this place really isn t for those of us who truly love the horror scene, definitely a place for teen/tweens rather than adults.

Fun experience, but the lines are long; especially for the hayride. Realistically scary actors.

Enjoyed the Haunted Hayride for the most part, there could have been more ghouls. My fault too to some extent by going on a Sunday and the third ride of the night. Seemed a bit empty through the ride.

Scream zone = Lame Zone. Maybe fun for 11-14 yr olds. I get scared easily..and this didn't scare me AT ALL. Over priced for so little. If it's for a group of kids, then it's PERFECT!

The haunted house was okay but it could of been a little longer and could be more scary.

Wow! We had a blast! Really well done with a lot of fun scares. Don't forget to play the soundtrack provided for each of the ten, yes TEN scare zones! I hope they have a drive thru again next Halloween season!

Went in with semi high expectations and left really disappointed. It literally feels like driving in traffic with one or two actors in every themed zone.
Don t waste your money.

It wasn't to scary but it was fun, good for taking kids.

Not scary at all and the hayride did not have enough actors working. More comical than anything.

We went in the middle of the week so the lines weren't horrible at all. There were 3 different attractions and each one required a ticket, but the parking was free and they had a few carnival-type food booths. Fun if you go with a group of people, but with the San Diego Fair prices.

A lot better than last year. Ghosts were better trained.

Amazing! We had such a great time. The food was good the staff was super professional and nice. The experience was definitely worth the two hour drive. Maybe you can give LA Haunted Hayride some tips on how to do a great event.

The house of horrors was amazing and terrifying! The haunted hay ride was okay. Super long wait times for everything on a Saturday night at 9, so the fast pass was definitely worth it

The scares are fun and and worth the price if you buy the Costo deal, but the staff (Not in costume) are extremely rude, I did not come across a single polite staff member. Parking attendant scolded me for not following his directions when he was talking to another driver, lady letting us into the house was extremely rude and got annoyed when we couldn't hear what she had to say when she was speaking below normal tone and was very condescending and demanding. The food servers were less than polite and the security is impatient and rude, even when there was no one behind us waiting to get in. Go at your own risk.

The haunted hayride sucked for one for two waiting in line for close to three and a half hours and them not having three trailers now they have one so they don't take as many people at a time makes it take so long just to get on the hayride would not recommend going on it would not recommend standing in that stupid line go back to the way that used to be what a joke

I would like to start out with a positive. The security inside the gate were pleasant and very helpful when we had questions. All the actors were totally amazing and interactive, I've been going for years and this was the best year (2017). They even had people there to scare you in line and one even had a nail he would hammer into his nose. Pretty cool party trick lol. It was very entertaining. Amazing props inside attractions. The haunted hayride is so much better than when I was many years ago! (Pro tip: sit in the back in one of the corners)

There are plenty of restrooms to use, even when it was packed there was barely a line for the bathrooms. There was a dj there to keep everyone in line and at the bar they had entertained. Prices are high on food and drinks but that is expected.

The only issue I had was with the hired security at the front gate. I wasn't aware that you couldn't bring in open water bottles. They told me so, no problem, but.... I refused to throw away a water bottle I took only 3 drinks out of so I said I was just going to take it back to the car. They all decided to laugh at me and one said "oh well I've never heard of that before". Well sir, I like to reuse my water bottles and I don't like wasting water. I'm assuming he's never been a broke college kid. I literally refill my water bottles, so yes. I'd like to save that. When I came back they decided to be sarcastic and make fun of me.

They have done a good job with setup, but its not scary at all if it's meant to be scary.

WE HAD A BLAST! Perfect way to celebrate Halloween and STAY SAFE... drove 2 hours and stayed near by in La Jolla just to come here. The kids loved it we weren't disappointed at all! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR SCREAM ZONE

A great and fun place to go for a good Halloween scare.

Very fun place and the music was cool. The mazes were really scary, but it is worth it to get the trio entries. The hayride was really relaxing.

If you live more than 20 mins away it isn t worth it. But if you do decide to go you should buy the fast pass makes the experience a lot faster.

Took my girl since she's never done anything Halloween or "haunted house" kind of stuff before. It's well worth it to pay for the Fast Pass. I got the VIP pass for us and they don't tell you that you can't print it; a lady standing outside the will- call finally asked us what kind of tickets we got after we couldn't bring up our tickets and turns out, we had a plastic badge and lanyard in an envelope for us so be sure to tell then if you get the VIP.

The Witch's Brew is pretty good. We got it with vodka and it doesn't taste bad at all. My girl is a very picky drinker and she liked how it tasted. The food is overpriced as you'd expect but they're not bad. The nacho chips are stale but cheese isn't bad - piping hot and generous portions.

The attractions... the Haunted House and the Haunted Hayride aren't bad. I mean, they try. The Chamber was a let down and I think the ones working there weren't feeling it, either.

All in all, it wasn't bad for first timers. Would we come back? Not sure...

Never go here! You pay your money for staying in lines. The hay ride is poorly organized. They let the priority passes through but forget about regular line. As well as they had only 2 carts going round. Total time in the park 6 hours of which HAY RIDE waiting time- 3 hrs, haunted house 30 mins and the other house 1 hour. Worst place

Horrible. Worst experience ever. Sat in a line of cars for almost three hours. Never again.

I mean, it wasn't bad. Just seemed too family friendly for my taste

Not a great night to go. Half of the cast was sick, as told to us by an employee. The hayride was a huge disappointment unfortunately! Normally a great time. Will still go, just closer to Halloween.

Very fun great with groups and watch out for scarers

Super wack!! The lines were insane! The funnel cake was delicious though.

Main attraction was very fun but doesn't come close to justify the lines. We waited over two hours but we got their early. The line when we left was about 3 hours just for one of the parts.

The worst haunted halloween activity ever! Don t waste your money. I get that they are trying to adjust during COVID, but this was poorly executed. You go through this maze and you are a car apart...you see everything that is happening to the car in front of you. So when they try the same thing to your car, the element of surprise is gone. It s almost like going through It s a Small World at Disneyland, but you are in your own car. I know I shouldn t expect much, but the cast is sub par. It felt like my kids running out of the corner to scare me. Now I see why they forewarn you that there are no refunds. Total disappointment!

Only 4 star because I didn't enjoy the Haunted Hayride. It would be better if the tour guide was telling stories while riding.

The 1 star reviews are extremely harsh. This exceeded my expectations. If you look around at the scenes as you re driving, you will be scared. Actors did an amazing job given that they can t touch the car or get super close. Everyone in our car loved it and it was such a perfect alternate option given COVID. They also have food and drinks before that you can buy which was dope!

It was fun, but i was expecting a lot more,i would not pay 30 dollars for three attractions that are only 30 second long.

Sadly not worth the money. Not even slightly scary; to be frank, it was cringe worthy.

I regretfully leave 1 star because I know it s Covids fault.

To restate myself, it s not scary. It s actually typified by the annoying loud sounds actors make with Bells.

Friendly staff and easy Free parking. The new zombie run was great.

There s only three events and the lines are so long it s not even worth it. Plus the tickets are expensive and so not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Fantastic haunt!!! Great for kids AND Adults! perfect for anyone near north county San Diego!

The three major attractions were fun, but I imagine that going there without a fast pass we be less fun considering the monstrous lines.

Super disappointing. Not even our 9 year old was scared. If we hadn't got the fast passes and had to wait 2 hours for it, we'd be angry instead of disappointed. Not going again next year.

Pretty cool place. I would say it's a little expensive for what they have to offer. There are 2 walkthrough houses and then the hay ride. We waited in line at the hayride for a little over 2 hours. It was a long wait but then the ride took about 20 minutes so it made it worth it. We didn't get to do one of the walkthrough houses because it was too late and the line was really long. We did go on the Saturday before Halloween so that probably wasn't the smartest plan. On a weekday where you can hit all 3 things it would be cool. Parking was free and if an adult dosent want to do the houses and stuff they can enter for free and watch a movie they have playing. They also had a bar for some liquid courage.

BEST SCARES IN SOCAL FOR 2020!

We've been to LA Haunted Hayride and Urban Ledgends Haunt. The Scream Zone beats both of them!
We wanted to go again, but they have sold out for this season and that's scary

The scream zone is super fun, 4 stars because it is expensive.

Don't waste your money!!! We bought tickets at $20 a piece and the lines were so long we only got through one line! We bought tickets for 3 but there is no way we could have even gotten through 2! Horrible horrible planning and a huge waste of money!

A great hang out for local tweens. Would not recommend if you re over the age of 15.

The haunted house atmosphere is non existent - no decorations or actors walking around where the lines are. If I took a blindfolded person here, removed the blindfold, and asked them where they were they wouldn t know they were at haunted house if it weren t for the signs telling them so.

Production value resembled a grade school play. Sets were constructed from trash bags, card board boxes, and painted plywood with the occasional colored light thrown in attempting to set the mood (it failed to do so). Props were thrown together from things found in a garage (a garage that doesn t have Halloween decorations). Make up/costumes were cheaply done

The acting, outside of a few motivated individuals, consisted mostly of growling and heavy breathing. It was scary but only because it was so bizarre and creepy.

2 stars because a few of the people in House of Horror got me to jump. Other than that I would say it s about as scary as Hotel Transylvania 2.

House of Horror is the larger of the two walk through mazes. Both are a fun time. There are a few really impressive moments with set decor and ideas, but overall the set, props, costumes and actors are just good. Neither really tell a story, but are rather a bunch of scenes thrown together. At least KarnEvil has strong theming throughout. They do a pretty good job of purging the lines. They put us through in a group of about 10 at a time in House of Horror and a bit smaller group for KarnEvil.

Overall it was fun. It is the perfect type of event for the location and crowds. It s a professional fairground haunt worth checking out if you re in the area.

Wasn't what we expected but our 9 year old son had fun roasting the actors.

Lines are ridiculous. Spent over 4 hours in line for two things.

Tried to go on Saturday and waited over 2 hours and wasn't even halfway through the line. Decided to leave so didn't even get to see the haunted houses. Just kind of mad ay how long the wait was.

It's more for teenagers than adults . And everything is over priced $4.25 for a small water bottle smh.

Was OK...lines for the attractions are super long. Got there at 8pm and left around 1am. Spent about 80% of the time in lines. Figured it was going to be busy on Saturday night, wow was it. Still, the people actors are great and you can have a really good time in a group. Happy !
