Scioto Downs Racino Review

They need table games and turn there A/C on in the club house!!

The way you have Scioto Downs now it doesn't pay out it's not as nice as it was with the games probably won't be back

Love the hair its but hate the line. I stand there because the last time you ran out. Slots still too tight. But I still love the casino! I ll be back

This is the first racetrack I'd ever been to and I absolutely loved it. Sciota Downs has a very cool indoor area with tons of slots and a very slick bar. The racetrack itself has been well maintained and has a wonderful restaurant with decent food overlooking the track. A great way to spend an afternoon eating, drinking and gambling. They were very nice to newcomers to the world of horse-racing as well. Highly recommend it.

It's a shame that a casino which makes billions of dollars can't get the ATM/Cash out machines to work. Once you actually find one that's operating correctly, plan on waiting in line awhile.

We went for the races,but they still don't have grandstands open. This really is a inconvenience, the patio is okay but no shade

I came here for the Derby. It was super busy and the restaurant was overbooked to the point where they weren't taking reservations anymore. Other than that, it's a nice race-ino. They didn't have video poker though.

This place is amazing! The steaks are humongous and prepared with love. The atmosphere is truly entertaining as its whatever or whoever walks in at the time

A well maintained, clean and safe place to have a few drinks or gamble.

I always read reviews to be prepared just in case..some of the negative reviews are not justified as far as machines being tight. Our experience started off...we were trying to figure out how to get into the casino and an off duty employee directed us (he was headed to his car). Then we were greeted by security who was super nice we talked for a few minutes.. we played for awhile won and went to eat at the cafe it's unorganized but have great food! The only other real complaint I have is the smoking area.. it's filthy... It smells moldy i actually had to leave that area and ashes and garbage are thick on the machines.. I went to the bar tender and asked for a rag to clean it off and there was 3 beer bottles and 2 cups an overflowing ashtray sitting on one machine I had to clean off myself. I cleaned my husbands as well. Mine was not only one that was filthy but others as well I think you need a cleaning person in that area I'm giving 3 stars other than that I'll definitely be coming back. Super friendly employees are always a plus. Another plus you have semi truck parking!!

This place is clean and comfortable. 7 hours of gambling just flew by. This is the place to go if you're in the Columbus area, no doubt about it. Good luck.

The food, is awful, poor selection, all instant, meat dry, gravy all salt, fresh salad next to sea food, what if someone has a sea food allergies, all over for the price, Not worth it at all

Very good service. Reasonable prices. Stay away from the Grove Buffet, other restraunts and hotel breakfast...AWSOME!

It was trouble waiting2 hours to get my money out of machine was. unthinkable you should have shut the whole thing down or done it in sections then being treated like it was my fault the machine wasn't working properly got my money left want to Hollywood was treated with respect

Scioto Downs has always been a tradition here in Columbus, I think the Eldorado group is doing it justice!

This is the worst payout casino there is in the city i've lost over 5 years nearly $100,000. If their reply is true then why did I lose $240 last week and not win a single penny on one spin every spin was a loser.

Hit the buffet for the first time in years. Wont EVER be going back. Food was awful and service was worse than the food.

Smelled like they had a sewage issue. The entire place smelled bad.

Slots use to be loose when it was Racino.
But, now since its EL Dorado, The slots are tight. Never can win anything. More Dollar & penny slots were added, and NOT very many .25 or .50 slots anymore.
Maybe we should go back to Indiana & play.

The machines seem tight having a host who doesn't call you back is aggravating and makes it seem as though you really do not mean anything very disappointed with this.

Great casino to go to I have lots of fun every time I come I usually at least leave with a little extra money great place to visit especially if you're an out-of-towner there is a Wonderful Buffet the food is wonderful staff is so helpful and very humble would recommend this casino to anybody love to come here

Race track and slot machines. No table games. The have an outdoor covered patio bar with slot machines for smokers which is very nice, leaving the indoor facility smoke free. No stale air. The facility itself has the look and feel of being stuck in the 1960s.

Even though I don't enjoy playing slots and I prefer card games, I enjoyed my visit here. Really friendly staff and a very relaxing and comfortable mood setting environment. I highly recommend.

Whenever I want to get away and have some fun I come here. I play penny slots and can play for around 6 hours on $40-$60, although I've yet to hit a jackpot. They offer free non-alcoholic beverages and have 3 restaurants. Non smoking except for the gaming/ Smoking patio which is heated in cold weather. This place is kept clean and drink stocked ( paper towels and toilet paper in the restrooms and cups at the drink stations)

Stopped in for lunch at Brew Brothers Restaurant. Great menu options at reasonable prices. Several craft beer selections along with a limited wine list. There are several tv's for viewing a variety of sports, a stage for live performances, and a large patio for eating outdoors when the weather is appropriate.
The one downfall is they never take reservations and will not accommodate groups of 12 or more Thursdays-Saturdays.

Nice atmosphere people enjoying having ingredients a good time place I would come back again

First of all the brew brother's Steaks were amazing! The restaurant and casino employees were very customer service focused!

Payouts are very low and far between. Also had a gold card and last time I was in they said my card status had been moved back down to silver. I don't play with my card most times because seems wins are better without. Just my opinion but place needs to reevaluate.

Eldorado Scioto Downs is quaint in a charming way. It is a place you can go alone and feel comfortable while winning!

Had fun but wasn't impressed with the games they had. But they are changing some games with others.

Not the same experience it used to be when it was exclusively Scioto Downs.

UPDATE-AUG 2020: I don't know what happened but their VLTs had been looser since July 1st 2020-for both weekdays & weekends. Whether due to new fiscal year or recent merger, slot payout has improved. Kudos State of OH and/or Eldorado Caesars mgmt.
