Really cool place but absolutely overrun by small children showing no respect, budging, climbing on stuff and generally running rampant while their parents stand back and do nothing. Not to mention the noise of 1000 screaming kids is enough to give you a headache. I would avoid going on a weekend or outside school hours for this reason.

Great place for anyone really. Especially love the baby to toddler section. Helpful volunteers and perfect toys and playgrounds for kids to enjoy. The only thing is it gets too crowded sometimes. Would be nice if there s a headcount limits at each given time.

It's alright. Went to check out the Pixar Exhibit which was neat. Totally recommend it if learning about computer graphics, animation, and rendering is your thing.

The other exhibits were okay but heavily catered to the younger audience. Spent a max of 2 hours here.

Do you have kids? Were you once a kid? Heck, are you human? If so, you'll love this place. They have great exhibits for adults and kids alike. As long as you don't tell your kids it is more educational than school, they'll love it too!

This rating is only for the kids play area. I haven't really gone elsewhere.

So happy the new floor for the water area is not slippery and doesn't flood anymore..thank you!
Love they give waterproof bibs to wear.
The climbing area is super fun and awesome. So happy they allows kids to wear shoes on there now.

Has clean Change room and washrooms.

Fun places for kids to explore

Went to Science World several times this year...we were mainly focused on the new Pixar exhibit the last visit. We loved all the explanation about how to make an animation and the step-by-step process that they show in the exhibit. I loved the hands-on experiences that they have for visitors and I wish my toddler was old enough to understand the exhibit...

...he enjoyed the new toddler exhibit a lot more. Speaking of which, is amazing. The Wonder Gallery is a fairly new addition to Science World and has all sorts of hands-on activities for children up to five years old.

They have a big version of brite-lite that the kids just love playing with. My toddler's favourite is the "sandbox" (with tiny rubber).

We love spending time at Science World and will be back.

So much fun here. Most recently, they have the exhibit about Pixar and it was very insightful to learn about the science and work that goes into the creation of each of these movies. Lots of hands-on stations as well for everyone to play with.

Also watched a movie about volcanoes as well at the dome IMAX theatre. This was also a great learning experience for adults and kids!

I've loved this location ever since I was a child. No better way to make science exciting than to go to Science World. Just wish that was still what it was called. Either way, it's a must visit location, especially if you have kids!

Went there with my 2 young kids and was completely unaware their toddler area closed at 3 so when we got there just after 3 it was closed.. definitely felt ripped off with their prices and then our toddlers couldn't even enjoy the play area. They should make it more well known.

Quite small compared to other science centers, and it felt like a kid's playground. If you are an adult, don't come here. The upstairs portion was closed (assumed for covid), and so was the theatre, and the outdoors section. All of the sections were laughably small. Good for kids, no for adults, or anyone that has been to another science center.

This review is for a wedding I recently attended at Science World so can't really comment on the Science part of the experience!

What an incredible location to hold a wedding! The ceremony was on the upper outdoor deck area and the reception down in one of the large exhibit rooms. By far the coolest, most unique setting for a wedding I have ever experienced.

This museum is perfect for children and families, but teenagers can also enjoy it without any doubt. It's fun and educative, everyone can learn, even adults. From recycling to human body, the topics spread all over human knowledge and stations are interactive and sometimes digital. Overall I recommend it because it's a pleasant destination during boring weekends: the family ticket is very convenient.

We got there at 10 when it opened and stayed til 5 when it closed! It is an all day kinda place, so much to do. The staff are helpful, and super patient! We will come here again soon

While it's mostly aimed at a younger age group, it was well worth a visit
I'm sure the after dark program is the perfect way to experience a wonderfully put together science experience
The Pixar exhibit was definitely worth the extra 8 dollars, and has some fantastic interactive displays

You kidding me? This place has so much to see it would take you two days to see it all. End it with a nice Omnimax and call it a day. Loved it as a kid, and even more so now. Just one thing... can we just bring back the big/small room already. You know everyone wants it back.

Some very interesting exhibits, but it's a bit expensive and there are some broken things and poor placement! For example, the "Pipes of Pan" exhibit, which requires careful listening, is placed next to a loud music and light exhibit.

I'd say it is more of a Children's Museum than a Science Museum. Definitely the worse "Science" Museum I've been to. However, if you are taking your family and/or kids, than I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Not all it's hyped up to be, especially as an adult. Smaller than I was expecting, with several exhibits closed. There were a handful of well-realised items, including the mirror maze. Much of the museum is a rehash of material and experiments better delivered elsewhere, and disappointingly some with a political agenda. Some items appeared to be included without purpose or adequate explanation, and some descriptions were simply wrong. Science coverage is patchy with the main focus on ecology/environment, biology and discrete maths. Food and drink provided in-house was poor. We did not attend a screening in the IMAX. Expensive even as a student at over $20 for entry.

Great facility for kids to explore and learn. We got a family membership which pays off if you visit two times in a year. Make sure you pay your parking from inside science world otherwise it is $40.00 from outside meter machine. Cost $12.00 from inside so big difference. I was waiting for my sister and nephews to arrive but wants to use their washroom but the greeter won't let me go inside said I have to pay first but I can't pay for the membership since they have to take photos for each member and they are not here yet. The much bending the rules for your guests spenting over $280.00, family membership plus 2 adult pass. I go across the street where Starbucks doesn't have public washroom, Tim Hortons and A & W share a restroom but with a sign said not in service a bit frustrated walking around four corners trying to find a washroom. Let's say I am only there because of my nephews.

My daughter wanted to see the Pixar exhibit. We came up from Washington state, and were not dissapointed. Easy access from the train and lots of other attractions, although mostly geared towards the younger set.

Certainly has something to offer. It has over 11 exhibitions, and all of them are filled with interesting things to discover. Overall, it's a pretty good science museum and I'd definitely recommend it. Bonus; it has a what's called "Omnimax". I've been there, and it's stunning! Imagine a film, but in 180 degrees watchable view. Yep. Omnimax is a movie theater inside this museum that will project a film to the entire roof. That's 180 degrees of watchable film!

Good
