Perfect for a Sunday afternoon with kids (and/or curious adults). I loved the surrounding area as well with a very actual and engaging take on the environment and our responsibility towards it!

Great place for locals and tourists. We have been members here for 5yrs and love dropping in for a short visit when we are in the area. Well worth buying a membership if you plan to visit more than once a year. Our 2yr and 6yr olds love this place. There is something to see here for all ages. We recommend it to all of our friends and family when visiting as well.

The worst science museum I have been to, very dissapointed. The building is old and needs maintaining even just a fresh coat of paint would help. The exhibits were dull, half did not work and for the admission price it was not worth it. For what this place offer the admission should be free.

A very inspiring and informative display of the many successes of humans in the industry of animation (we went mainly for the Pixar Exhibit) The rest of Science World was great, too! I was a sperm and crashed into the vaginal walls and died (in the video game of the body exhibit)

Great place for all ages. Even adults can enjoy and learn something new. The place can make you feel like a kid again while teaching you a ton. We enjoyed the outdoor part that talked about our city and where we live since it felt most relevant. Pixar was the rotating unique exhibit this time which was pretty interesting. Maybe plan to bring your own food since it's a bit pricey in there.

Amazing content, as someone not from BC I try to always make a point of going whenever I'm in town with my kids. Its an amazing way to make great memories together. It's worth making room in the budget for!

Science World often changes up its "star" exhibit so there is always something new for people to see. They have wonderful exhibits as well for the family and a fairly new outdoor space :) A wonderful time for the family

Wish I had more time to explore all the exhibits. The optical illusions and puzzles on the ground floor were the most fun. It was also just fun to people watch--they do lots of demonstrations for the kids and the kids just go nuts. It's too cute!

Excellent place for families to take the kids for a play day. Holidays can be quite busy, however during the winter months it can be a fun break from the rain. For larger kids there are usually 2 major exhibits per year.

Amazing place. Everyone must go sometime. IMAX movie was totally 5 stars. Super cool. Lots of seats and elbow room. Went on a Saturday so the exhibits were swarming with kids and people. Reccomend going during the week for a better more relaxed day. They lost the fifth star due to having only paper straws. Bought a slurpee and it took 3 straws to finish the small drink. They just disintegrate as soon as liquid touches them. Overall an excellent day. And on the way out the park outside was very popular with the kids. Zipline is all I have to say

We have been visiting several museums over North America with our ASTC reciprocal benefits and this museum is truly one of the best. My kids span from almost 9 to 21 months old and all 3 loved this place. I wish it were close to us so that we could purchase membership and go a lot more.

A perennial favorite is the cool IMAX movies they have here and the innovative exhibits. A great place to stimulate kid's interest in the weird and wonderful aspects of science. Lots of parking close by (some free, some not). It's an easy (7 min) walk to Olympic Village along the seawall path (heading south) if you are looking for a choice of eats or change of scene. Giving it four stars only because the single ticket cost for local residents is very expensive.

This is clearly very oriented for kids, which I feel should have been made clear as the admission price wasn't exactly low.
The main reason we wanted to go was for the OmniMax theater, which to be fair was completely amazing and immersive, but was entrely let down by the fact that again it was intended for kids, as the movie they showed was very low detail and uninteresting. They also sell popcorn which seems kind of ridiculous to me, since it would probably be one of the most immersive theaters in the world, if not for rustling and munching sounds from kids all around. I would give 1 star, but I understand that it would be a good place to go for families and it was just unfortunate that we didn't realise that in advance.
There should definitely be a disclaimer notice on both the entrance of the building and the website saying that it is a place designed for kids.

Great place for all ages. The kids area was fantastic with lots of hands on activities, from sand to water tables. Loved how there were shows running throughout the day as well. Great variety of activities and things to do. Loved this place!

This place is totally incredible! It is a children's fun museum on steriods. The steriods part is that there were so many live shows throughout the day on centre stage (Chemistry, Electricity, Illusion, Balloon etc) that we just couldn't watch them all.

If you have kids, this place is hands down the best attraction in Vancouver, period. I went to some other touted tourist attractions recommended by the other travel sites and none other comes close. None of the travel sites I saw put the Science World in the top 5. IMHO, this should have been number 1 on every list.
