First time here, came to see Lucidious. People were friendly and very helpful. Loved the atmosphere. One of the better nights in a long time, drinks aren't too pricey (if you were wondering)

Had the chicken sandwich and it was superb, great french fries reasonable prices and the waitress was very nice, I will definitely return and highly recommend this spot.
A long time established bar with live music almost every night.
I have been a patron for over 30 years.
They have a large beer list at reasonable
prices.
One of my favorite concert venues in the city. Intimate, good sound, and always a great group of people.
Full bar. Friendly waitstaff and bartenders. Attached concert venue. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Sure was tasty. Drinks are on the expensive side. Paid $15 for a double shot mixed drink.
The shots are on point and after a bit the bartenders sweet classic drinks for your preference
If you like intimate shows, this is the place for you! Great sound and great bands. Good beer and spirit selection to boot! Grab a bite before the show at the adjacent Tide House restaurant. This venue has it all!
It's also great to see bands "graduate" to the larger sister venue, Lincoln Hall.
Great place for a beverage and a greater venue for music. They have strayed a little bit from the hard core honkytonk days but still a tasty blend of styles.
Great venue for lesser known groups. Super intimate. Drinks are affordable.
I was here with a few friends to watch a live concert. They have a stage area at the back of their bar. They've got pretty good independent bands playing there. It's $15 tickets at the door or a couple of bucks less if bought online in advance very friendly people and the bar seem to be a good neighborhood bar. I might go back to check out their bar specifically.
Schubas is great for live music, I was able to see Andy Mckee here. Their brunch is also a great reason to visit, there is always room to sit outside so you can enjoy the weather and their food. $2.50 busch lites during breakfast can make anyones hangover better!
We went to Schubas an hour before a concert we were going to see, they served good food, had a surplus of beer on draft and great service. Has a homey feel.
I've been here a couple of times and I always enjoy it. The food is great, the selection of beer is decent and over all I enjoy the show and a dinner ambience the got going on. Really the only thing that is stopping me from giving it a full 5 stars is a small issue that actually happened recently. I mean it wasn't a big deal but, I was getting a few drinks, I probably got a total of 3 drinks and I am not a big bar hopper so I don't know too many things about bartender tip policies and stuff so I usually always tip at the end. Well I'm off to my second drink and the bartender tells me that I should probably know that most bartenders won't serve you unless you tip, insinuating that I wasn't going to tip. I felt a little wierd because she came off a bit snoby about it, I was going to tip her and I did but it made me feel a bit unwelcomed. Maybe she wasn't trying to be snoby but It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth so I'll probably think twice about geating drinks there.
Great place for a small concert. Cheap drinks and nice area.
They have a concert EVRRY night!! Bartenders suck.
Always love Schubas when Chris Trapper is playing. Fantastic small venue with awesome artists.
Great Happy Hour Specials. No Frills place to get a drink and watch a show
Stop wastimg time reading this. Go to Schubas order a Chicago Handshake and watch a show.
Went to the acoustic brunch. Cool concept, but the food was very salty and not good. The musicians were ok.
A very intimate venue to watch live music! I watched/experienced Fatai and it was the perfect place as my friend and I were very close to her. The sound was really good as well.
We only stopped in for a quick drink. It was not bad.
Great night out in Chicago with my daughter and her bestie for her birthday
Not only is Schubas a classic Chicago venue but they also have some pretty killer bar food too! I recommend the Mac and cheese with bacon!
I loved this place. The staff is so friendly and the place is unbelievably cozy. At first I was disappointed their kitchen was closed but our server made some recommendations for takeout that we could bring in.
The stage area is so intimate with wonderful acoustics!
Great drinks and very personable bartenders! A nice place to waste a bit of time!
Classic Chicago bar and venue. Great staff. Have seen many amazing shows here.
Great place. I've been here for shows and parties.
Top floor is a great little space for small parties.
Good beer list and decent pub food.
I play here a lot and it's a pretty nice bar. Good hospitality for performers. Cool atmosphere (especially now that they built the new green room). But for atendees the vibe is nice and drinks are good and they have a divided bar/performance space which is sweet.
Great drinks, better staff, and wonderful intimate music venue! How have I not been here sooner?
One of my favorite live music venues in Chicago. Intimate setting, great sound, drinks are reasonably priced.
Comfortable venue, very reasonable priced drinks. Easy to find street parking as well
I went here with a group of friends before a Cubs game. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the stadium and when we went, we were about the only people in there 2 hours before the first pitch.
The food was okay. I got a solid pulled pork sandwich with a side of brussels sprout. The brussels sprout were a bit undercooked and a bit too butter coated for my taste. They weren't tremendously flavorful either - the most distinct taste was that of butter, which I didn't want in my veggies (personally). The pulled pork was good.
I think this place would be better visited when they're playing music etc., which is what they're known for. In my opinion, the food alone was pretty unexceptional.
Great atmosphere. Didn't get to try the food. Staff is pretty good. Came in from Rockford and was happy to find its an easy location to find!
Classic venue at the former Schlitz Brewery building in downtown Chicago. Food & hospitality are on point. Live music calendar is full of great local and national acts.
Dollar Tree is reliable and you can count on getting whatever you want here. It's a dollar for anything in the store. So it does everything you want and if you need something in a pinch it works. And sometimes it's just fun to go shopping at Dollar Tree. You can go into Dollar Tree and spend a ton of money on stuff that you probably weren't even thinking about buying. From notebooks to candy to Yardley soap which is a good bar of soap by the way. Two household products to frozen food that you don't know where it came from to pop canned vegetables potato chips USB cables even are sold there. You can find notebooks stickers cheap-looking buckets. You can find about anything you want there. Even aspirin is so there. I found a bottle of aspirin that had 140 aspirin in it for a dollar. And you know what it works.
awesome venue for catching local bands. intimate without being cramped. added bonus of an old fashion photobooth. the adjacent harmony grill has a knock-out brunch, as well. the breakfast burrito and biegnets are out of this world.
Awesome bar, fun bands, cool crowd. I liked it. I liked it a lot.
Amazing to see hot rising artists in this intimate venue.
Saw Wilde there and the performance and the sound was amazing!
Saw Alison Sudol here and it was an amazingly intimate venue.
The people working in Schubas are pretty friendly and welcoming.
The drinks are pretty decent. The food is what you would expect from a bar.
We usually go more for the music venue.
Some nights are no cost for the venue and other times where a more popular person or band are performing charge a nominal fee.
The venue has limited seating so if you like to sit as I do go a bit early.
Overall, if you like a variety of live music and want to support artists - go and enjoy!
One of my favorite places in the city to catch a show. Whoever is in charge of booking does a great job. Everyone there is super friendly too.
I wouldn't call Schuba's a hidden jem, but it's one of the best smaller venues in Chicago. It often times has up and coming artists in a fairly small, intimate space. The concert space is in the back of the bar and I believe there's no bad view. Plus, the bar is great too - it's not overpriced like most venue bars are, and there's plenty of selection. Whether you're coming for a drink or for a concert, I think you won't leave disappointed.
Came to see Loma live, great experience. Nice place, good service. Beautiful historic building.
An excellent place to catch a show, with a huge selection of acts, from underground local slates to huge touring acts. Cozy enough to feel intimate, big enough to not be claustrophobic. Beer's a decent price, staff is friendly.
Good food, it s not biscuits and gravy it s a biscuit and meatless gravy.
Wyatt the gm and Charlotte our server were fantastic. They completely went out of their way to accommodate my wife's handicap. Food was EXCELLENT!!! THANKYOU SCHUBAS
Too cool for school. Stay open a little later and lose the attitude. We all know you are a music venue, but dont alienate your clientele by thinking that's all you are. Just saying
Small venue, but fantastic shows. Great and friendly staff.
Great venue to see live music! Can't wait to go back.
They have been beyond awesome here. Ordered some good food, waiting for the show. I asked if there were seats in the hall, as I've dragged my mom along who can't stand too long. Not only did they save a seat, but they put a reserved sign on the table for us! Honestly good, kind people here. Highest recommendation -affordable drinks too
They have great music acts come through all the time. Love it.
LOVE this venue for shows. Super intimate but not too crowded. It was a little too loud for me.
Came down from north of the cheddar curtain for Break of Reality...I cannot say enough about this group! Absolutely amazing show!!
If you like small, intimate venues this is for you. Low light, just you and the music. Saw The Vespers here, it was magical. Though my bf and I were the only ones cheering for them ( I guess everyone was too cool to express their jubilee?) Haha. We showed up early to eat and have a few beers, fair prices and nice staff.hope to be back...
Great place! Bar tenders are so nice! They check up on you with great timing! Love that they almost always have bands playing in the back! I will always show support to Chicago bars that support local music!!!
Played a show here. Great green room and has gluten free options for my celiac bod.
They have great live music got a chance to see King Fish
Average prices. Solid small and intimate venue for Red Hearse
Love of the vibe of this bar. Warm and lively with screens that play sports. There is a nice stage space nearby - I attended a events there. Nice amenities - washrooms for men and women. There is also a little photo booth to get some funky shots. You can enter though the main entrance as well as the Tied house entrance, they are kinda connected and shared. Nice drink selection, beer taps and snacks.
The AUdiotree crew are turning it into another soulless watering hole. No more jukebox? No more vintage schlitz glasses ?
Come on. It s Schubas! Beautiful stage with great sound. Drinks a little pricey. One star knocked off cuz the bartender said drinks were on him but ended up charging me anyway.
Nice pace with a friendly staff. The food menu is limited and somewhat pricey but still good. A fine establishment and music venue.
I attended a concert here. Small but sweet place to have a drink. Lincoln Hall and here are the best places I like to listen indie music.
Great experience! Came for the live music and the venue was great.
Small intimate room with a warm decor. The vibe here is chill and friendly. They do a great job of booking national gigs on the rise and bringing in talented Chicago acts. A bit "underground" as opposed to mainstream, but in a good way.
A perfect sized venue to see bands up close and the proper acoustics to hear them. Great line up of emerging talent.
