One of my top 3 favorite bars in Chicago. Traditional tavern in front and music venue in the back. Their new and improved "Schubas Old Fashioned" is VERY good. The bands that play here really run the gamet, but are so consistently good that I check their lineup just to find new bands to listen to on Spoify, regardless of whether I am attending a show.

Came to catch a show and it delivered on what I expected. Intimate and cozy. The stage room is a bit small with a very small bar in the actual stage room but just outside the doors is a full bar. From what I saw it attracts and hires a young trendy crowd. But can't beat seeing a favorite band here and the location is great.

What's not to love? Small room, great curation of the bands that play, and they serve Schlitz as a nod to the building's history. Every time I go to Schuba's I wonder why I don't go to Schuba's more. Possibly the best room in Chicago.

Nice little historic place. Went for brunch and it is definitely not their strong suit. Things were kind of hectic even though they werent too busy, staff seemed to be scrambling around. Food was just ok.

Schubas is one of my favorite Chicago venues. It s also a great spot for high brow bar food. Their menu has a great selection of choices for different flavor palettes. The drinks are also on point. My only complaint is that I have never received great service from the bar staff. They re often more interested in taking care of their friends or bar regulars and they often seem a bit cold.

Kate was an amazing server! The place was bumpin' but she never skipped a beat. Our drinks were never empty, the food was delicious, and she never made us feel like we were a burden (even though I wanted to sample more than a couple drafts, she encouraged it!) Can't say enough good things about this place. Kate made the experience over the top and took the sting out of a Cubs loss. Thanks for making the last night in Chicago a blast! If you're visiting, ask for Kate, treat her well, tip her better, and take care of your servers!

Fantastic ambiance for a concert. Great place to rock out in. Saw the Mowglies here and the venue was packed. It s the type of venue that separates a back dance/rock room with the bar space itself, giving the clientele an opportunity to choose between the different atmospheres.

Came here last week for a concert and it was nice. If you're coming here for a concert it's going to be towards the back in a medium sized room. You have to wait till the doors open though unfortunately the person we went to see set the show back 45 minutes so we had to wait at the bar which was not so bad. The waitress was very nice and accommodating! The hummus at the bar was delicious but a little expensive in my opinion ($11). The drinks weren't too bad or overly priced. They sell beer to wine, any type of drink practically. Of course they card you as you walk in!

Great venue! I was here for a show on a Friday night. We came before and grabbed drinks and a bite to eat at the bar. Service was great, food was typical bar food. The venue in the back was the perfect size for more of an intimate show, definitely hope to get back for another one soon!

We have a winner! Rode my bike over, plenty of racks out front. This outside seating area is BREATHTAKING. Plan your wedding reception now, the vibe/ambiance here is unexplainable.
Definitely a must go to! Food was hot and amazing. Fries right out of a state fair! Service was friendly and speedy!

Schubas Tavern is a great live music venue. Pro Tip: get there early and enjoy a quality bite at the restaurant next door, Harmony Grill. My favorite dish is the chili mac and cheese. They also have daily drink specials that seem to rotate by season.

This place has it all! Music Venue, Restaurant, and Bar and they're all great!

The bar is pretty cozy - but I think cozy is good. The restaurant is also great - the food is good, beer selection decent, and service is on it! They also have sidewalk seating in good weather.

The Music Venue portion - This is wonderful, also cozy, and it allows for a very intimate experience with the bands. seating is along one wall, and it's wooden benches so expect to stand, but it's worth it.
Acoustics are Ok, something I think they could improve.

As an artist I think playing this venue would be difficult as they don't really have a backstage.

The beer and liquor selection is decent. The staff is somewhat nice. The food isn't too bad, for bar food. I usually just come here for musicians performing, but they have the absolute WORST stage lighting. I hate the overuse of red, blue and green lighting. Lincoln Hall has some of the best lighting Ive seen anywhere for a venue that size. Not sure why this place cant make a few improvements, considering they're related venues. Hence, I always get black and white photos out of this place.

Good place for Summer fun. They have an ample selection of good food, beer & plenty of booze! Attached is Harmony Grill on the South end of the building. Same owner, same quality grub. This is a fun spot on the west end of Wrigleyville!

Have been here many late nights to see bands when I was in my twenties...but haven't been back as a responsible adult. I took my four year old son to the Acoustic Brunch on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised...the food was fantastic (french toast & Luigi) & service was great! We were a bit early for the music but hung out for a bit without the feeling of being rushed from the table. The music began around Noon and gave the place a nice ambiance. I highly recommend this place for Sunday brunch.

I have been going here since 1993, but went last night for the first time in years and I was reminded of why it is my favorite music venue in the city. The acoustics are fantastic, it is intimate, and the bands are always top notch. Last night was their 100% free music night and it did not disappoint. Schubas is always on the cutting edge of rock a d I have seen many bands here before they become big. I have a feeling last night was one of those nights
The band "Rookie" played and they were amazing! In addition to the music Schubad has a great beer list and the bar is one of the few remaining original Schlitz tap rooms (you can tell from the Sclitz globe in the brick work over the front door. This is one of the classic neighborhood bars that is quintessential Chicago. I haven't been to the new upscale restaurant they just opened that is attached to Schubas, but I have heard great things and plan to check it out very soon.

One of my favorite Chicago venues. 165 capacity, you can't really get more intimate than that with your favorite bands. Great beer selection at decent prices. Always pretty easy to find street parking around the venue.
