The tour of the opera was very interesting and informative. The young woman was very pleasant and brought everything over very well. Husband loved to listen to her, there was always an answer to questions. It's a shame that Corona can't go any further.

Very nice opera, great acoustics and an absolutely impressive building, but still reasonably priced. The free cloakroom was noticed positively. It is advisable to pre-order drinks or snacks for the break to save yourself the waiting time.

A fantastic opera building in the historic city of Dresden. The building is not freely accessible, but guided tours are offered. Otherwise always a great atmosphere at evening events - the good reputation I can confirm.

Well, here you can not not visit! At least on excursion.According to the acoustics of one of the best theaters! You can hear from any place perfectly! Take tickets to the second balconies and above, tk the price is less and the orchestra is visible! Tip: you can take standing places in weekdays (cost about 10 euros) but often lucky and you can sit perfectly. I'm not going to repertoire things, except that the interesting interpretation of the director will interest. Once or twice a year there are exclusive rare things and it's worth seeing. The main composition of the singers is small. The semper will be unprofitable for the guest singers. For families a good choice of children's operas and tickets are inexpensive. Visiting Dresden will be unforgivable not to visit the Opera. The totality of architecture and music and the history of this city is unique here.

This opera house is always worth a visit! My third opera (Tosca), a dream!
The audience was great, no one got up right after the performance to get the train or the bus, everyone stayed until the last curtain fell !!!! The ambience of the house
is great in all areas! Staff super friendly, all in all thumbs up!

An opera visit for Dresdeners and tourists that is always worthwhile. Just to see the wonderful design of the opera house. It was a stroke of luck that the building destroyed in the bombing was rebuilt and not, like many other buildings in the GDR era, torn down.

Very nice building ... great opera. We had a very good tour in the house. We would have liked to have heard the opera too, but unfortunately the performances will not take place until the day after tomorrow. Still, we will certainly come back. The whole city of Dresden is full of art and culture ... very beautiful and a must for art enthusiasts. Really great.

Zamper Opera: Also known as the Saxon State Opera ...

Zamper Opera: Also known as the Saxon State Opera of Dresden, it is one of the most famous in the world in Dresden, Germany.

The first opera was built in 1841, but it was destroyed by fire in 1869. In 1878, the son of the original architect of the building (Gottfried Zamper) was appointed to rebuild the building.

The new structure did not last long and was completely destroyed in the Allied bombing series at the end of World War II.

After the war many wanted to rebuild the building and in 1985 (40 years after it was demolished) the reconstruction of the building was completed and is now very similar to the building before its destruction in World War II.

I highly recommend visiting the building. To do so, register for a guided tour (available in several languages). We took the tour in English and a very happy guide to hear that we are from Israel and even knew a few words in Hebrew and the problem with playing Wagner's works in Israel.
The tour was interesting and very impressive.
Well worth a visit here and see an opera house as seen in the movies.

Great construction and nice tour. Available in German and English the tour mostly insist on the opera reconstruction and acoustic performance.
The photo fee scam sadly also made is way to this refined house (3 ). As usually not announced in advance and in supplement of a 10 visit fee.

I have seen here the "Journey to Reims" in the very modern, pro-European interpretation. It was great music, great voices, furious scenes ... Amusing and thought-provoking. I enjoyed the evening very much. Thank you

Awesome experience! We saw Figaro...I expected to fall asleep three times but only fell asleep twice! Not bad for a three and a half hour show.

Seriously, though, this opera house is an amazing sight to see. It was rebuilt to the original specs in 1977.
