Went there with my partner for my 25th birthday for a great meal - ordered the beef Wellington alongside 2 sides and drinks. The beef wellington was a hearty posrion and cooked to perfection, rivalled only by the one I've tried in Bob Bob Ricard. Definitely recommend for a celebratory meal or when in the mood for a splurge. I would recommend booking in advance though.

Ps: The bread was absolutely delicious as well - and while that comes gratis with a meal and isn't a factor when picking a restaurant, it was definitely a treat!

Had higher expectations from a Chef Ramsey restaurant. The appetizers ended up being the highlight of the meal (both the lobster bisque and Dorset snails). The Beef Wellington was bland and the beef was not as fragrant as we had hoped. Even the sides were sub par, the garlic mushrooms and truffle mash potatoes. Might be willing to try again but will go for the normal steaks next time.

I was very disappointed we like the Savoy we had eaten in the kaspas and really enjoyed it. we tried Gordon Ramsay's grill at the Savoy the food was diabolical our starters were bland tasteless then my steak come out what resembles an overcooked shoe leather with gristle and no seasoning I ordered rare the chips look like they come out of a school canteen after being sat under heat lamp for the day I watch Gordon Ramsay on TV sorting out restaurants he may want to sort his restaurant out my partner's food was no better we ended up leaving the food and walking out

We booked a private room for a client function. In spite of not being late the room was given to another party. The staff were initially very rude and unfriendly telling us to leave as we weren't welcome. This did however improve after speaking to the manager. No excuse for the behaviour of some staff who treated us with disdain and disrespect. I can only assume this was the individual who divided to use our reservation for another group.

The meal was fab and the experience was fantastic, with the manager taking us on a tour of the kitchen. The kitchen staff working hard behind the scenes to make the customers have a great meal were also wonderful and amazing people.

Pros: Service was as expected from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. All of them are accommodating. I asked a single serving Beef Wellington on a Sunday which they tried to provide even though it is normally just served on Wednesdays. The meal took 45 min as it is not in their menu of the day so they gave us free soup with our bread whilst waiting. My 2 month old baby breastfed in that restaurant as we forgot our expressed milk. Staff didn't make it awkward for me to breastfeed there which is very nice of them. Foodwise, the vegetarian options are cheaper than expected and the Beef Wellington I had was 10/10. Perfect temperature and very soft meat. Well seasoned. The pastry is very crunchy apart from the area that absorbed the wine sauce.

Cons: still expensive but it is as expected from Gordon's restaurants

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had at this restaurant. Reminded me very much of The Ritz. Very classy and fantastic place. Lovely buzzy dining room. Staff were all fabulous, helpful and extremely friendly. We had the 7 course tasting menu plus the wineflight. The whole menu was amazing, very well put together menu. Great balance of flavours and great fresh ingredients. Would love to return again. Highly recommend for special occasions

I have had the pleasure to visit the Savoy Grill Sept 29th with my mother. My mom s favorite chef is Gordon Ramsay. She loves everything Mr Ramsay does and so do I.
My mom s other dream was to see and visit the Royal Albert Hall. Doing this got us almost 45 minutes late our reservation. I tried everything to get to the restaurant on time but I am not used to traffic in London unfortunately. When arrived at the S. Grill I apologized for being incredibly late and the lady at the reception was very kind and understanding. The other gentlemen working with her were making jokes so I wouldn t feel as embarrassed. I felt welcome!
After taking our coats, the waiter took us to our table and heard me speak French. He then quickly sent us another waiter who spoke French. Before getting into my experience I want to acknowledge the space around a table for two. If you ve just been shopping you ll absolutely have enough space for your bags.
Our lovely French waiter made conversation as he handed us our menu. What I appreciated the most was the selection of side dishes. It is a detail that makes the difference.

He came back with two little cups. He explained that it was a little soup made with so many ingredients I wouldn t even be able to remember what they were.
Our Beef Wellington came and we had decided to go with Truffle mash potatoes. I would like to add that you re eating with actual silver forks and knives.
You get two pieces of Beef Wellington which is quite big for one person to eat. I asked one of the waiter if it was possible to have my leftover wrapped to take it home. No dirty looks were given to me !

I absolutely had the best time at The Savoy Grill. When you look around while waiting you see the staff running around like musicians playing a symphony. Nothing is left behind. You won t see a waiter give a dirty look to another one. It s like they read each other s mind. I m a middle class woman who was treated like a Duchess.

Fantastic dishes and good services. Personally like the Savoy Grill better than the Petrus. Savoy uses the grill by Jasper which is one of the best. Steak from their Jasper grill is awesome. Famous Gordon Ramsay beef Wellington is fantastic. Definitely would come back in the future.

I've been here twice.

I've been here twice.

Once was a surprise sprung on me by MrsFromSaturday, one Saturday lunchtime. It was delicious. Glorious in fact. I'd go as far as to say sensational. I had an Omelette Arnold Bennett (a house speciality) and the lamb from the special menu. The lamb was carved right next to me and I was given the end piece as a bonus without even having to cheekily ask. The food was absolutely A1. It was a lovely, lovely meal.

So I went back with my work team for Christmas lunch in December just gone. What a comedown.

The Omelette Arnold Bennett was as delicious as before. However we were in the first slot of the day at midday...My Christmas dinner could not have been more disappointing. The roast potatoes were cold and hard. The turkey was dry. Dry! The gravy was nice and the veg was standard but I don't want standard at 70 notes a head when I'm not drinking. I want something five star, like before.

I don't know what happened, if it was an off day or something. But it was very poor.

Sort yourselves out.

A classic site that stands out for the quality of its premises and premises. Of all London it is the best thing that I have tried but without a doubt the price demanded it. I do not think we will return to eat like this in Spain and for less than half, but the experience was recommended.

Excellent venue and service but.. This old institutions may have to improve the kitchen ... The foie gras was not cold enough and not that tasty. The scallops were great but for 28 GBP at least 4 pieces should be instead of 2! Even if the clientele don't seems to care about the price it looks to me overpriced if u compare with other Palace in London.

Our dinner here was a fantastic experience. Wanting to try one of Ramsay's more authentic British restaurants while we were in London, I decided to make a reservation here. The service was excellent, and while we didn't get to try the beef wellington that they are known for (wife is gluten intolerant), we instead opted for the Chateaubriand which was cooked perfectly and carved table side. We were told it might take up to 45 minutes to cook due to the thickness of the cut, but it came out in maybe 20 min tops. For sides we had the truffle mash (borderline orgasmic - a must!), as well as the field mushrooms and Vichy carrots (also delicious). After we greedily devoured our meal, we didn't have any room for dessert (and the wife couldn't really have any of them), but the restaurant remembered from my online booking over a month prior that it was our anniversary, and brought out a cute little dessert with a lovely message written out in chocolate. As a bonus, the Savoy hotel is beautiful and worth wandering around a bit afterwards. All in all, fantastic meal and experience.

A place that service is the key. The staff are absolutely incredible and make you feel like royalty whether you have just bread and water or a five course meal.

The food is always great if not exceptional, but the service is what stands out and keeps us coming back. Their attention to detail and friendliness is second to none ! They make you feel special no matter who you are and that's half the battle won when you are having a nice meal outside.

Despite looking forward to trying the Savoy Grill for sometime now, I must say it didn't live up to the hype. Potentially one of the worst meals I've ever had, and to quote Gordon himself "Cold, bland, flavourless"

Very nice interior with a nice atmosphere. We went on lunch and tasted seasonal menu. As this was our first time we were very nervous. Staff was lovely and very welcoming. The waitress that was helping us throughout the orders was quick and very warm-hearted. The food looked like as beautiful as a painting and it was also delicious. The drink s menu offered the best champagnes and wines. It was an unforgettable experience.

Felt like a commoner from the second i walked in..
I've had better mashed potatoes made by a first grader with flour and glue.
This place thinks salt equals flavor.
No wonder this place lost its stars..
Food was waaay overpriced, even by London standards.. 60 pounds for a tiny lobster? really?
First and last Ramsey restaurant for me...
Disappointing

It may be expensive, but being the Savoy that's to be expected, but the food & service warrants it. Very polite staff who take the time to greet you & engaged in a friendly conversation before taking your order where as similar restaurants just want you to eat pay and get out. Definitely be back. FYI order the duck!

The chef table experience at the Savoy Grill is one of the best dining experiences I have had to date. You get a waiter and sommelier assigned to your table and the chef preparing each of the 8 courses comes and explains the dish to you personally. You even get invited to tour the kitchen and take part in cooking part of the meal, and this may seem a bit daunting but it if you like to think of yourself as a bit of a foodie, it is definitely an opportunity not to be passed up. The food is obviously impeccable and the service is faultless. 100% worth the money.

Excellent service, but disappointed with my meal. I had to have Omlette Arnold Bennet, probably the most famous starter at the Savoy. Unfortunately it was very heavy on the vinegar. Also the steak and ale pudding had a sauce served with it which was far too sweet, and the pudding was very stoggy. As I had never been to the Savoy before I had extremely high expectations. It was a great shame.

A magical evening, like being in a movie. The dish to try is absolutely the omelette by Arnold Bennett, superb! Luxurious but friendly and non-intimidating environment. A must try if you are in London.

I was not very impressed by the food or service here. I had set a high bar considering the restaurant and ambiance, which I believe is fair. I had been to another Ramsay restaurant in Las Vegas, Hells Kitchen. In comparison the service there was outstanding and the food excellent. We ordered the classic Wellington, cooked medium rare to rare, the steak had a little marble. But overall it was not special. The steak tar tar was delicious but I was sad to learn it usually comes with house made Parmesan chips (as seen on their Instagram page) but we had house made potato chips. Big difference if you ask me. Also, I noticed the Wellington on their Instagram has a different crust. That is misleading and I m really disappointed the images on their Instagram do not reflect the food you receive. Terrible way to run a business.

The food was delicious. Was a bit shocked that they tried to cram us into a corner of a table but they sorted it after asking to extend when another table next to us was free. Not sure about the bizarre cutting of the apple pie desert but the fillet steak was perfectly cooked and I couldn't fault anything food wise.

Am giving 5 stars for the food and 1 star for the service.

Went for the pre theatre Sunday roast. The beef and the sides were beautiful.

The service however was terrible. The wait staff would ask a request from one person and ignore the rest of the table, and then on a separate occasion just walk away from the table when a request was being made.
