Went to the savoy grill for my 21st birthday! It did not disappoint. The beef Wellington is a must. The stake is one of the best I've ever had, and the truffle mash was a perfect accompaniment. The staff were very attentive and polite! What a special treat and fabulous night.

Booked over a month in advance all the way back in August. Entered card details to confirm my booking and got a confirmation email that the booking was acknowledged.

Extremely poor experience all things considered. Judging looks are also an incredibly big issue at this place from the moment you arrive. "Smart casual" is evidently fully suited and booted. Anything less gets you some odd looks from people which just makes the experience uncomfortable.

All in all, had better experiences and support from other restaurants in the area that charge considerably less

Spectacular meal and service equal to the reputation of the owner.
My wife and I got the 'Taste of the Savoy' menu. All of the choices were delicious and well-presented. The service was attentive, from the moment we sat down to the tour of the kitchen at the end of the meal. We had some great meals on this, our first trip to London, and this one was at the top of the charts.

My partner had been given a voucher for the fixed price lunch menu back in March on his 60th. As soon as it reopened, we booked.
From start to finish, service was impeccable, all the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, there for you, but not all over you. We were given a friendly greeting at the door, our voucher taken, sanitizer offered & shown to our table. Water offered, champagne poured & time given for us to take in our surroundings, toast with our champers & decide on our menu options. We ordered a very nice bottle of Chablis, having considered a Sancerre and our choice was good. I had the veloute and my partner had the terrine for starters, followed by us both ordering the Cornish pollack. Deserts, hazelnut and chocolate Paris - Brest and Cashel blue cheese and walnut bread. Excellent choices, we had 2 sides, mash and the Cornish greens, only actually needed the mash to complete the mains. The flavours, the textures, the sauces were exemplary, absolutely delicious. On check back i told the waiter, the only downside was that the veloute, the mains & sides were luke warm, even the mash in it's metal server was only warm. Had the plates been hotter, maybe the food may have stayed a little hotter. But in NO WAY did this change the fact that the whole meal was just lovely, our compliments and thanks to all of the staff working lunch Thursday 8th October.
We finished with a glass of red for the cheese and I had an Espresso Martini there as the American Bar was closed. We finished the afternoon with a photo of me outside the ground floor lift, which was once the public phone area and message desk where I worked all those years ago ! Looking forward to a return visit to the Savoy Grill before Christmas.

THE CHEF'S KITCHEN TABLE. What an experience. Six of us gathered for an truly remarkable experience that now has a memory alongside my wife's 50th birthday that we will never forget. The opportunity to cook and serve alongside such enthusiastic chefs such as Elliot the 18 year old who talked to us and Sam (Gordon in the making) who was fun and so passionate about his dish that he presented to us. All the others were amazing - truly. They all had an interesting story to tell. Emamuella was a delightful host bringing not only professionalism but humour to the table too! We could not have asked for more. The food of course was off the scale and we all had a favourite dish! This is dining at its best. It is simply a night you will never forget. Well done the team!

Food Fantastic! However if you are visiting with a voucher be ready to feel you are not worthy. The staff were kind however very over the top with trying to sell you addition items not on the voucher. At one point the server actually said "of course" when we turned down an item (in a manner of snobbiness). We are always happy to pay a tip but when we finished the meal, the server presents us with a bill solely for tips, once again we are always happy to tip as standard, however when you are given a bill with the only item being a tip it doesn't feel like genuine service

Quite unexpected to be rated that low but seriously the food was mediocre; had the pre theatre menu: ox tongue salad was good, but the mince beef encrusted in puff pastry totally non plus. My companion had the leeks to start and then the salmon fish cake which she said she had had better even in an office canteen. The sides we ordered; the salad was limp and old, while the spinach tasteless. For such an establishment, the food really ought to be a lot better especially in this area, I can think of far better places for a pre-theatre meal offering good food.
Unrelated to the restaurant: my evening started off badly when entering the Savoy Hotel from the embankment - asking directions to the Savoy Grill enroute through the hotel, I was told there was no such restaurant in this Hotel by one of the staff!

RICHARD HARRIS ALWAYS SAID IF YOU GO TO LONDON THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IS THE SAVOY AND THE ONLY PLACE TO EAT IS THE SAVOY GRILL.

THIS RESTAURANT IS BEAUTIFUL, THE STAFF PROFESSIONAL, ATTENTIVE AND FRIENDLY, THE FOOD IS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY AND THE WINE LIST EXTENSIVE.

LIKE ALL LONDON PREMIER VENUES, THE PRICES ARE ON THE HIGH SIDE AND PERHAPS IN CURRENT TIMES IT MAY BE WISE TO REDUCE THEM A LITTLE BUT ONE THING THAT NEVER CHANGES AT THE SAVOY GRILL, IS THE WOW FACTOR OF THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE.

We dined at the Chef's Table on Sat 6th January - the whole experience was truly exceptional, some of the finest foods we all had ever had, and the wine pairings were fantastic too. The passion that all the staff have here has to be seen to be believed. We WILL definitely be back!

Went for a celebration lunch. We had the tasting menu. Everything was perfectly cooked. We went for the recommended wines to go with each course. The staff were attentive and charming. In particular, thanks to the sommelier who chose fantastic and in some cases unusual wines and explained well why they had been chosen.

Ordered the T-Bone and mashed potatoes. For the price that I paid, it should have been WAY better than what I can make at home. Sadly, it was not. The T-bone was super bland. I let my wife try it and she spit it out because it was hard to swallow. Very disappointing. The mashed potatoes even tasted like they were scooped out of a pre-made tub. I said something to the waiter but I only received an unconvincing apology. I'll give it 2-stars because I tried my friends Beef Wellington and it was superb! Wish I would have ordered that. I'll never go there again, however.

We went to the Savoy Grill for a lunchtime taster menu (7 courses). It was absolutely fantastic! The service was top notch, the food was exquisite and the atmosphere was perfect. We were also taken for a tour of the kitchen (which we weren't expecting) and had a chance to thank the chefs in person. An altogether wonderful experience which I highly recommend!

If you ever get the opportunity to experience the chefs table, do it! You sit in a private room in the kitchen and the chefs come in and introduce each of the 7 courses. You also get to go and cook your own steak and send it to the pass!!
