I looked at so many reviews before deciding on a place to get laser hair removal done, so I want to be super honest in this for anyone else that is looking at reviews before deciding where to go.
My experience starting off treatment wise was honestly not so great (but keep reading!). The woman I booked with for my first session was honestly not very personable and we didn t click well. I m not one to ever complain or have issues, but I left crying because I was so upset and felt so tiny.
Immediately, Heather calmed me down and was such a gem. She brought in the manager Audrey and I was able to express why I was upset and she was so understanding. Her and Heather both wanted to make sure I had a great experience, so they scheduled my next session with Brooks, and oh my goodness, she is the BEST! 100% hands down, go to Brooks! She is so sweet and so easy to chat with. She also is willing to stop at any point you need a break if it gets too painful (something the initial woman wouldn t do; she had me wait until she was done with 2 rows) and reassures me that I m doing great the entire time.
I m honestly just so grateful to have found this place! I was really hesitant at first to get a Brazilian laser treatment done, but Brooks, Heather, and Audrey have been so incredible and have made this entire process so easy and enjoyable. There was a miscommunication at one point about my initial issue, and Audrey and Heather offered me a complimentary session because they wanted to make sure my experience with them was good, and let me just tell you, it has been GREAT!
I just left a session with them and have one more to go, and I m honestly just so grateful to have gone to Satin Med Spa.

In the beginning, I got great results there and really enjoyed the staff. I was even able to collaborate on an event with one of the staff members for my blog. For some reason, after, the quality of service I received was not good at all. I was burned by the laser twice in a row, and It left bad scarring. On dark skin, that is already an issue. There was also no compensation once I informed them. I would not return to Satin for laser hair removal.

I first went to Satin Med Spa because my wife told me she wanted me to get laser vein removal on spider veins on a few places on my legs. I was reluctant because a spa meant, to me, high maintenance women. I couldn't have been more wrong. Satin Med Spa provides wonderful services in a very professional, but comfortable, atmosphere. It is a small medical spa with very personal attention and definitely has men and women clients. The people who do the procedures are highly trained, even having a nurse practicioner in addition to the medical director. My wife has had cool sculpting and is really happy with it so I plan to get that done to my "love handles". My wife has also had other procedures which have pleased her greatly. I know we will both be regular customers at Satin Med Spa. I feel like such a renaissance man and proud of it!! FIVE STARS TO SATIN MED SPA is a no-brainer!

I have been a client at satin Med Spa and seen them make transitions thru the years. Always been comfortable there and they have awesome specials. My favorite nurse practitioner by far is Amy Connolly there now. She takes the time to understand what you want and leans on the conservative side which is always a good idea with injectables.

Satin Med Spa is UH-MAZING! I have been there for various treatments and am always happy with the results. The most recent trip there was for a facial, which I don't normally get. I've always thought that a facial is nothing more than a manicure for your face... clean, exfoliate, moisturize... I can do that at home. Well, Christina Starkloff gave me an entirely different impression of what a facial does. She is knowledgeable, fun and a great asset to Satin Med Spa. I left with no makeup on and my face was so refreshed that I went without makeup for the rest of the day! Even to the mall and my kids' school! Thank you Christina and thank you Satin Med Spa!!!

Do they not know about the virus going around is super unsafe? The fact that they are willing to put others and myself at risk shows where the business' priorities are. I don't care If I'm over reacting, They are not an "essential business" As the President put it. Im going to write a complaint to the owners of this business! My mother goes here and is high risk with all of this going around.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY having laser hair removal!!! I was only supposed to have 7 treatments, and it wasn't working so I was told we will do two more. STILL didn't work. I have MAYBE 20% hair loss. I was told by two different employees at Satin med spa that a 90% hair loss is considered successful. When I asked for my money back I was told that I had, "very good results".

I would very much like to go out of my way to say how wonderful Satin Med Spa is from a guy point of view. I m 45 and my age is catching up with me due to the fact that I work outside a lot in the sun. I do care about my appearance and want to keep my youth. I was some what nervous be new to this and being a guy going into a spa for the first time ever. I did my home work and went to most spas here in charlotte to see which one I liked the best and I must say WOW!!! Satin Med Spa they are so awesome. Straight to the point, straight foreard, didn t rush me, answered all of my questions, made me feel so comfortable that I felt at home. Jennifer is the best, extremely professional and kind. By the time I left I knew with out a dout that this was the place and I singed up right away. Im not going to name all the other places I went to for consulting but there was absolutely no chase with Satin Med Spa. All the places that I went to shot extremely high and wanted to work they re way down or match orher places prices to get as much as they can get but Absolutely no chase with Jennifer, straight to the point and gave me a price with no chase what so ever. A price that was very reasonable. I had laser hair removal done and filler work and so far and I m more than please. Amber, Tammy and Alley who work here are so kind and nice and always makes sure that everything is good and that I m comfortable. Jennifer has an extraordinary team and a straight forward business. I will always continue to go back. And guys don t be shy, this is the place for all of your needs if you want your appearance to remain youthful. I've had the best experience at Satin Med Spa and especially with Christina Starkloff! Christina is very caring, is very detailed, cares a lot about all of her clients and is always making sure you have a great experience. I've had close to 90% hair reduction on my underarms - Christina figured our after using a less intense laser (due to me being scared of any pain) that I wasn't getting more than 50% reduction to she switched lasers and my reduction multiplied! And I have at least 70-80% on my legs - best decision I ever made! If you can, ask for Christina when you are there! She is the best!

I am completely disappointed in the quality of customer service and the treatment I received from this business . I have been a client to this business since 2015. The new receptionist is rude and incompetent. The treatment specialists were always different on each of my visit. Only a 2 of the 5 treatment specialist I saw during my time with Satin followed standard procedures which lead to my experience being much more difficult than it had to be because the other specialists laserd more or less of the areas I was being treated for. On multiple occasions I raised concerned to the specialists. Each of them reassuring me that they would work with me if I was not happy with my results. After finishing all my sessions I met with their health physician who informed me I would most likely need more treatment. One specialist gave me a price for my per session visits which I was okay with paying, but then the receptionist gave me a total different price which was much higher than the specialist initial consulted me for. Not to mention the owner of the establishment was there when I was speaking with the receptionist about the price I was guaranteed by the specialist and not once did the owner ask how could they help or what the issue was. That is when I knew this place didn t care about service but more so profit. The following week I called the receptionist to release my medical file so I could take my business somewhere else. They would not return my calls or email so I had to get my legal counsel involved. It is unfortunate that the situation had to escalate to that level in order to receive customer service. The worst part is I have yet to receive my documentation. Under NC HIPAA guidelines, if you do not receive your medical records 30 days after putting in a request you may take legal action. Do your research and hold these businesses accountable.
All in all, this business doesn t follow procedure, make sure to get everything in writing because they will screw you and if you want good customer service and a knowledgeable staff I wouldn t recommend Satin. Clearly being new to laser hair removal I felt I was cheated and misinformed. After spending thousands of dollars for results at this establishment I would hate for someone to go through what I went through. With that being said, I will never give them my business nor money AGAIN.

They just want your money, very unprofessional. I was told one thing when I booked a package for tattoo removal and now a year later still going through the same process. They had told me it would be about 3-5 sessions and that was far from the truth. I wish I knew a year ago or else I would have invested my time and money into somewhere else. One of the PAs is very unfriendly, and doesn't seem to even like her job. They called me the other day to tell me they overbooked me, then the manager told me she would call by 6 and never heard anything. I actually went to a different spa a few weeks ago and met one of their old employees who left because she said it was very negative and toxic. I don't want anyone else making the same mistake I made.
I have had the best results from all different types of services I have had at Satin Med Spa. One of my favorites is the Icon (IPL) I have a skin condition called melasma. I have had 3 icon treatments and use the obagi line in the fall and summer time. It has made an unbelievable difference in my skin. I have had a great experience with Botox and filler as well. I recently started having laser hair removal and the results are incredible. It already take me forever to get ready but not having to shave has been the best thing ever. Not to mention the fact that the lasers treat all skin tones which is awesome bc I do have an olive complexion. I love this place and I highly recommend their services!
WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I've never had such a bad experience as I have with Satin Med Spa. This was my first tattoo removal experience and the owner Jennifer told me it would be about 3-6 sessions to remove my tattoos. This was March 2017!!! It's been almost 4 years and 15 sessions later and they are not even half gone!! I finally decided to get opinions from other experts and they have all said my skin is so hyper and hypo pigmented there's nothing they can do!!!! They all said the heat settings were too high and now my skin is completely damaged. I wish I wouldn't have trusted them with my time and money! Please do not make the same mistake I did!!!!!

I went to Satin Medspa for my first Botox session. Initially, I got 20 units and I didn t have any results so I went in for 6 more units 2 weeks later. Now a month after that, I still don t see any change. I went to my dermatologist today and I told them I had 26 units and they were floored!!!! They couldn t believe there were no results. I don t know if the problem is a RN injecting or they dilute their Botox but I will never go back there for that. I ve learned my lesson and will only have an MD inject from now on.

Unsatisfactory results
Warning: if you are wanting to get filler under your eyes, this isn t the place. I had gone to get assessed for filler underneath my eyes due to dark circles and sunken appearance. One injector told me that she wants to use filler for my cheek depletion (which I wasn t aware of and didn t really care to fix). I disagreed with her assessment and she told me that she doesn t do correction under the eyes. So months later I inquired about the same under eye area because the company had a sale on their filler, and I asked if I could see an injector who does under eye filler. They scheduled an appt with her and I purchased the filler. She also convinced me that the real issue lies in my cheeks and that correcting my cheeks would help with my complaint. I asked her if she can just do my under eye area, she talked on and on about how she has great experience doing the under eyes but doesn t think I need to treat that area. At this point I was tired of the back and forth, she seemed hesitant to even do the eye area so I just gave in and did the cheeks. Now, my issue is she did my cheeks and I have a crater in the middle of my face, hard lumps on my cheeks. and I look more sunken than before. I go for a follow up and she tells me that she s still not willing to do my under eyes but I need purchase ANOTHER syringe in order to fix my cheek area. I was so unsatisfied with the follow up, she didn t even take after pics to evaluate whether my new complaint was valid. I sent an email to the company after the follow up about my filler experience. Two days later I get a call back from the medical director of the company. He goes on and on about how he stands by the assessment the injectors made. Which is total bs because he only has before pics, no after pics, has never seen me in person, and is only looking at notes from a chart. He also said I need to buy another syringe, which is absolutely absurd when they have now created a new issue on my face that I wasn t even concerned about. That s on them for wanting to correct an area, I shouldn t have to pay $700 to fix my cheeks when that wasn t my chief complaint. Basically, the point of writing this is to raise awareness for those who are so desperate, like myself, to get the under eyes done. Find another place that is comfortable doing the treatment, because by all indication Satin Med Spa isn t the place for you.
Love this place! Everyone is so kind and they always get you into an appointment fast. Joanna performed my treatments and she was kind, patient and gentle with me! I highly recommend her/Satin if you want a fresh, youthful look
Let me start out by saying, it is rare that I venture into a place that focuses on gaudy enhancements or intense beauty regimens, but since the day I started shaving I have been absolutely horrible at it and just waiting for the day I can afford laser hair removal. I checked out several places before finding comfort in Satin Med Spa.
Amber is absolutely incredible. Not just in her precision and accuracy, but as a host and a fellow female to confide in. She is so normal easy to talk to, that I forget to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed with treatment. She is wonderful to me and is understands I am a little blind to basic beauty regimens. She is very intelligent and helps me learn easy ways to take care of myself that are affordable and effective. I did not expect to have such a wonderful experience with hair removal, but Amber has changed my perception on what it means to appreciate and just be myself

Hands down, the BEST! I love every staff member I have encountered on the phone, social media and in person. Everyone is always prompt, informative and welcoming. Brooks is the best injector and Heather is awesome at any administrative needs (scheduling, price or procedure questions, etc)

I had the most amazing experience at Satin Med Spa. I recieved a facial and laser hair removal on my underarms. The facial was so relaxing and I was educated thoroughly on my skin type and products used throughout the service. I thought that laser hair removal would be painful but the technology and well trained staff made it a painless procedure. The staff was so professional and friendly throughout my entire appointment.
