The entire cast was strong, amazing and human, with not only outstanding voices but skilled acting abilitites. It's impossible to single out 1 performance because each artist delivered such an impactful performance. Sets, scenes and costumes were gorgeous. Our maestro is putstanding. Orchestra is beautiful

It's a Christmas tradition for our family to see the Nutcracker every year, this time was at the Opera house on Sunday, December 16th. It is a very nice venue with helpful staff and has comfortable seats... but not a shred of Christmas decorations in the place and felt like walking into the entryway of a high end nursing home that refuses to celebrate Christmas. Look forward to seeing other plays here but will go somewhere else next year for the Nutcracker. Btw, the dancers were great.

Amazing venue! Tickets are fairly priced and my favorite thing is that there are so many events that are showcased here that are NOT operas: modern and classical dance, concerts, vaudeville shows, PINC, the list goes on!

I treated a friend for Hidden Holiday Treasures for Christmas because she loves modern dance and I love classical music. The orchestra was wonderful but they took most of the stage and the dance ensemble performed at the edge of the front stage, an area which is almost impossible to view from the balcony seats! We had to lean forward and strain to see all the dancers. There was only one dance performance and in my opinion, it bordered on the demonic. Terrible! Not appropriate for the holiday at all!! I expected more dance performances because the brochure listed the orchestra and dance as if they had equal time. Not the case at all. I heard and saw very little "holiday" in Hidden Holiday Treasures (maybe it was "hidden").

Nice old (with US time scale) building. The scene is rather small it is not easy to set up bigger operas here. Lot of steep stairs for elderly people, the handrails help. The acoustic is good. It is not easy to find a parking place.

This is a delightful little opera house where the music is presented by an excellent orchestra, the staging of the operas is effective and imaginative, and the singing is professional. For a small town they do an excellent job. Seating offers good views, though seats could be more comfortable. Amenities during intermissions offer limited seating and are mostly outdoors. We have never been affected by rain so far but it could happen.

I have been to a few operas since the remodel. It is a great opera house, beautiful room, comfortable seats. It is a smaller stage but it is visible from every seat in the room. Overall a great experience.

Always fun to come back here, regardless of the showing. Seats are comfortable, decor appealing. Nice staff. Kind of chilly inside at times. Parking available nearby. Trouble finding a seat? The staff have always been there to help me.

First time in this venue, clean, comfortable and friendly. Could have been a little bit cooler considering it was almost at seating capacity, but I can't really complain because it was a free event.

MASTERS OF DANCE of the SARASOTA BALLET was a PURE DELIGHT!!!
Usually I love only traditional ballet, and was pleased with the first 2 acts accompanied by lovely piano music (although I certainly could have done WITHOUT the singing in the second act, it was too distracting!!!) but I was honestly prepared NOT to like the third act when I had read the synopsis of it in the program, it sounded just too silly.
WAS I EVER WRONG!!!! It was hilarious, so well done, in my whole life I have never seen HUMOR portrayed in Ballet, so this came as a very pleasant surprise. Everyone, and I mean the whole audience left the Opera House feeling lighthearted and happy because of the last piece, BRAVO - it was a night I will long remember!!!!

One of the best regional opera companies in the US. High quality productions, good singers, all done in a traditional style. I know, because I ve been working there as a singer for the past 11 years... so maybe this is a biased review. But really, it s a great company

Beautiful theatre. Front row side seats are entirely too close to the stage. My knees hit the rails for the pit-there's more leg room on a plane! Otherwise comfortable with good sound.
Parking could be simpler. Valet is easiest, just be prepared to wait afterwards (don't forget cash for a tip). Helpful and kind staff, clean restrooms with many stalls to help move things along.

Came tonight for my brother Mozart's Magic Flute.

The insturmentation was very good. We were in the mezzanine and the acoustics were very good.

The voices were excellent! Great theater, funny and very entertaining. Stage props were not opulent but fit the story very well.

The facility itself is very nice. Comfortable with excellent sight lines.

The staff here is excellent.

We both really enjoyed the show. Recommend you come here!

This is a modified classic venue. Our seats were in the center balcony from where the view and acoustics were excellent. The auditorium is small enough that no seat requires binoculars. Well maintained. The stage lighting mounted in the side walls weaken the ascetics.

Great to have a place to go with some old world charm and modern conveniences! Spent a lovely afternoon tasting local restaurants and some fine wines in this 90 year old theater renovated in 08. Looking forward to some great shows and fun events!

The Opera House does not disappoint. The talent is for another review. The staff is courteous and treats vips special. The muti levels added some adverture to the event. Catering in the outdoor courtyard added to the experience.
