When I arrived I was greeted at my car by name with a cart. From the pro shop to the quality of the course this is by far the best course I ve played in South Carolina living in Charleston I will happily drive the extra distance to play at this course! The staff are always very courteous which is not the case at a lot of courses. Highly Recommended!!!

This is a great golf venue. A very nice track with challenges for players of all levels. The course is in good condition and the greens in good shape. Traps were fair at best and paved cart paths in poor shape. Overall, the good outweighs the bad, and this is a good course for the money.

The course was in great shape. The greens were very fast. Santee National has a lot of dog legs and holes that make you shape your drives. 2 of the Four par fives are reachable with well placed tee shots. This golf Cousteau is well worth the trip to its location.

Santee National is a nice course. Good layout. Challenging. Lots of.pin positions. Usually well kept. Changes have been made to the design to make it better which is rare for a public course. The only problem is they over book leading to 5 to 6 hour rounds when I'm there in October. I don't have that much patience. One plus: Lone Star Bbq is across the street.

My experience at Santee National Golf Club was outstanding. I was camping on Lake Marion for the weekend and decided to try a local course. The Golf Pro (Jared) was very friendly and welcomed us to the course. He made us feel like we were course members. True professional. I will hit Santee National Golf Club every weekend I stay at Lake Marion.

I live 47 miles away from Santee National Golf Course. It seems that no matter what time of year I go there, the course is always in pristine condition. But I have to say that my trip out there today was the best so far this year. The fairways are close to perfect as are the greens. There are golf courses in the Charleston area that are charging $80+ to play a round, but none of those courses come close to the playability of Santee National. Do yourself a favor by making the trip out to Santee. It's by far the best bang for your buck.

Peach of a course! Very playable and pleasing to the eye. A good variety of holes. Greens rolled nicely and overall condition was great. Great value and the replay for $10 was a no brainer. Staff was very friendly, especially the GM Rob. Worth the hour drive from Summerville and will play again when visiting the area next time.

When you play this course after Hilton Head National your expectations are a little off. The rough was scorched earth. Tee boxes were okay. Fairways were nice. Greens were not bad but stupid fast. Service was decidedly unenthusiastic. Maybe the pro shop guy (not the older gentleman who used to travel to Ottawa for work but the other guy) and the snack counter lady were just having bad days? Free bucket to hit at the range beforehand was nice.

Great course for the value! Drove up from Charleston area ~50mins. I'll echo what is often heard in these reviews: generous front 9, back 9 more difficult with some sharp doglegs and pretty tight, but fair. Bunkers are trash - hence the 4-stars - but it seems to be everywhere with no taking and little maintenance to them. Greens were in great shape, but were inconsistent due to weather for us. Morning few initially, then dried up and sped up, poured and they slowed down, sped up with sunshine. So not the courses fault at all. Staff was awesome! Great play, worth the visit.

Course wasn't bad, but they put four foursomes ahead of me and I was by myself. Made for a long boring day which took all the game out of me. Paid for 18 but could only handle 9! Most courses will try and hook you up with somebody else but they didn't even try.

Very nice course. The staff was courteous and accommodating. Was amazed to see amount of grounds keepers working the course. Tee box and greens were in good shape. Much like all courses right now the sand traps were as good as they could make them. Others on course were friendly and allowed me to play through. I would highly recommend a stop if traveling I95 to play this course or make it a golf getaway.

Played on 4/9/20 with my grandson and brother. We had a great time. Pristine driving range, nice fairways and perhaps the best greens I have ever played on. Covid-19 precautions were in effect but the staff made the visit as nice as possible. I would definitely play the course again. I hope I bring more game next time.
