For my money, still the best Marriott in Silicon Valley

I've stayed here on a number of occasions, mainly for conferences, and the hotel has never been anything less than perfect. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. Housekeeping is immaculate, and staff are always super-friendly.

The attached bars and restaurants, though expensive (it's a Marriott, duh), are flawless in their execution, and whether you're looking for a craft beer in a sports bar or an a la carte meal in an intimate setting, this place has you covered.

The location, too, is excellent, only a couple of minutes off Hwy 101, so you can get pretty much anywhere in short order.

Still full marks after five stays since 2011. Keep it up.

I m a fan of this hotel. For members gold stars and above, the concierge lounge is pretty nice and spacious. The staff is great. The work out facility is above average especially for cardio equipment. The pool is above average as well. Location is convenient to the hwy 101. For my visit, parking was free since I used mobile checkin. Nice perk to ask for. The room I stayed in had a balcony which is also a nice feature. Otherwise pretty standard room setup for a Marriott.

Location is very strategic having mutiple businesses within short distance. The rooms were spacious and very delightful to stay in with many amendities. The service was great, having to never worry about missing anything in the room. Overall great experience!

Greeter at the driveway was very helpful. He was friendly, and he directed me to the event venue and parking. The venue itself was very nicely decorated for the company holiday party. The food and drinks were good.

Great hotel working at a high level of service.
Offers a heated pool, a very large Gym (divided into two rooms), a Starbucks and a verity of other guest services.
There's a great running / walking trail nearby called the "San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail" which is great for a morning / evening run.

The Marriott at Santa Clara is very clean and professional. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even provided a mini fridge free of charge. Will be staying here again in the future.

Wonderful hotel. My only minor complaint is that there are two towers, and there is no indication when you sign in or based on room number which tower your room is in. As a result, multiple people went to the wrong tower trying to find their rooms.

The bar/restaurant is really great. Lively crew of people theRe after the Niner game. Our waiter wasn't the best but he did the job. Drinks were good, ambience was great, and the hotel staff was amazing! Overall I wold definitely go back again!

I tried 3 different rooms and all had a significant amount of road noise coming in through the sliding glass door. It seems the seals in the sliding glass doors need to be replaced. renovation in progress December

This so called hotel is equivalent to a 2-star motel. It is super old, with old carpets, old furniture, old paint, you name it. No fridge and safe can be found in rooms. Rooms stink. If it was not because of Brendon Buchard s event, we wouldn t be here. If future events are held here, we won t come, no matter what events are being held here.

I had a great experience at the Marriot of Santa Clara. The staff at the reception proved to be friendly and helpful in resolving a problem due to a bad communication between the hotel and the travel agency. Clean and cozy room. Service ok.

I don't get all the high reviews. I'm Marriott Platinum so stay a lot of places. This hotel is ok but few main issues which are a big deal:

1. First the rooms are pretty dated, most Marriotts have updated rooms compared to this. I don't think a hotel this dated can be a 4 point something average rating on this alone.
2. Second, and my biggest issue, is it was one of the loudest rooms I've been in and worst nights of sleep I've had in a hotel in a long time. The room vent is old and noisy and my room (402, maybe something specific to this room, I'm not sure) had a rumbling noise every few minutes from the buildings HVAC. Awful.
3. Usability of the room has issues - everything is low - I am only 6 foot tall, so not very tall, and looking in the bathroom mirror I can see up to my neck without bending over. Same with showerhead. And, it is a room with no outlets, which isn't that uncommon. I had to use the iron and the only usable outlet is the bathroom wall outlet. But the bathroom is so small you can't get the ironing board in the bathroom, also not that uncommon. But the iron has a normal length (not extended) cord so it is almost impossible to reach the end of the ironing board.

We were very happy with our room until I was awakened after midnight to water leaking from the ceiling. I felt like they should have offered to move us to another room and offered free breakfast or something to accommodate our inconvenience. I had to ASK to to move, smh. Also if I pay $200 for a room and have to pay $25 for parking?? Parking should be free

The recent renovations have made this a great hotel! Rooms are beautifully designed (bright, with modern dec and lots of outlets) and lobby area looks great. I attended a conference here and stayed for 3 nights. The banquet staff were amazing and went out of their way to help out.

While this Marriott was perfect in almost every way, I had to rate it 4 star because of 2 issues. First was the noise issue in the room. Since the building itself is quite old, you will hear a lot from the hallway and your neighbors. Plus, the bathroom noises... you will hear every single toilet being flushed around you!!

Second issue I had with my room was the non-functioning TV. I typically don't care for TV in my room, but these are smart TVs with Netflix and few other apps and it was a bummer that throughout my stay it wouldn't work! When I called the front desk, they forwarded me to the Marriott tech support line which took a while and I ended up giving up on it.

Even with the minor issues mentioned above, this is still a great hotel for business or leisure.

This hotel is the first hotel I stay in when I first time visit U.S by 2003! It means a lot to me! By 2003 it s a old hotel with damaged furniture, but now they ve refreshed everything! The location is awesome, highly recommend to stay with if you visit Silicon Valley. Parking is free but need to use your hotel key to in&out.

Nickel-and-dimes you for Internet ($5/day), and the vending machines have rather questionable prices (~$2.75 for a water bottle). My visit to this hotel was paid for by a prominent multinational company, but I'd certainly find a less upscale hotel even if it is farther.

A little over priced, to be honest. All of the staff are friendly and professional, but there are few amenities unless you're a Marriott rewards member of a certain level. Wifi, for example, is 14.95 a day, unless you're a rewards member. I *am* a rewards member and was still charged. Parking is $15 a day for everyone. There's a allegedly a laundry area, but I didn't see it and (as usual with hotels) sending your laundry out is cost prohibitive. The rooms do not have microwaves or refrigerators (at least mine did not). There are multiple restaurants and a bar on site. I only tried one, but the food was quite good - around $15 for a burger, to give you an idea of the price.

And there is a pool.

I am a Marriott Gold Elite member with a profile that says high floor away from the elevator. I was placed on the first floor, but told it was the Garden Wing with a nice view of the gardens. My room was on the outside facing the parking lot and I heard alarms being set. I won't be back.

Great Services; fantastic service and attention, excellent wifi, little noise, ideal to rest, beautiful surroundings, an experience that one will always want to repeat. Of sure when returning to the zone, this will be the hotel of my predilection

What I liked about this Hotel is the great people who work there. Ryan an valet was very helpful. The spacious lobby is perfect to to some work on you laptop. All tables offer device charging and plugs.A Starbucks counter always is a plus. The rooms are kept clean and updated. I would say the rooms are average.

Ballroom 9-5 was spacious and very modern feeling, but the hall right outside was very cramped in the event I was in as it was repurposed for booths. No WiFi a minus in this day and and age. Food served was not up par with equivalent Hotels.
